This was MOTÖRHEAD, without Eddie and Philty it was just Lemmy and some dudes, not saying everything went compleatly into the shitter but yeah, THIS was MOTÖRHEAD!
The first time I saw MOTORHEAD.. Was at Glasgow Apollo. 1978. Overkill tour. This song reminds me. Motorhead were new. There were about 200 Hell's Angel's. With bikes. Few hundred Skinheads, and the rest Punks and Metalheads. Some sight. Never forget it. Best 👍✅ band ever.
"Fast" Eddie Clark, "Philthy" Phil Taylor, Ian "Lemmy" Kilmeister..."Remember Me, I'm Gone", the classic M.H. track is fitting...legends, Lemmy shook my hand and gave me his autograph, when I was what...16?
My parents had a turntable once that was a little sped up. I had a compilation/promotional album in which Killed By Death and I think Ace Of Spades were on. Killed By Death sounded awesome sped up a little and only heard that version for a few years. When I heard the original on a CD I bought years later, I thought the original speed version sucked! LOL! Like it now, but it took a bit of getting used to!
yeah sang this song going thru a clover 1982 in the ol mans 65 olds, he started yelling ....slow down ya wanna put us in the ditch, well he did tell me too give 'er shit.....lol.
@@AgileWoodsman 3 loudest gigs motorhead pub tour of Australia 1984, black sabbath at the Capitol theater Sydney 1980 and rose tattoo any pub gig during the 1980s australia
When this came out I was about 6 and my dad owned this nightclub in Torbay and we lived above it. Anyway they always played the metal at the end of the night, and I loved it. Cos it sounded different. Stronger. So I sneaked downstairs to look one night about 1am and my young eyes were confronted with a ring of blokes with long hair all headbanging to number of the beast from maiden. It was the coolest thing I have ever seen. Metal till I die !
So many thanks for the upload. You've made my day. A very special song to me and exactly in that version. It is the quintessential Rock'n'Roll. Pure gold!
This album lives in my car stereo full time. Always loved this song since I first heard it when the first album came out. I interviewed Lemmy for our university radio station during the Hawkwind Space Ritual tour and we knocked back a bottle of wine together. When I found out he was forming Motorhead I immediately became a fan and was never disappointed by any of their albums. Unbelievable that just 3 guys can make a sound like this.
Always one of the top Motörhead songs was Iron Horse, last time I heard it live was 1983 and Robbo did not do it justice. Don't think any later line up's attempted it....
I was fourteen when I saw them on the Ace Up Your Sleeve Tour at the Glasgow Apollo in 1980, then at the Iron Fist Tour the next year and Another Perfect Tour after that with Robbo. The Ace of Spades tour was the best.
If it wasn’t for biker crank there’d be no thrash metal! If lemmy wouldn’t of been caught with speed in Canada he never would’ve got kicked outta hawkwind and wouldn’t of started motorhead which was a major influence on thrash metal!!!! 🤘🏻
This has to be one of their Best bass songs ever composed, Lemmy use to play most of power cords but in this song he is more versatile and it shows how a great bassist he was
I was not lucky enough to be born in Rural Poland in1971.Discoverd their tunes at the age of 20 so didn’t have the chance to see them live but this band is one of my favourite ever and definitely unique Nobody played like Motorhead and Early AC/DC few others, some polish bands BB ah fuck😂Long Live Rock and Roll😂❤❤Die hard Motorhead fund send wishes to everybody who loves music and other people 👍🥸🤠
I wonder why they cut out the start where Lemmy says 'This is dedicated to all the Angels in here and everybody else really but especially them'. He was talking about the Hells Angels who at one point were their security.
He also lived in a squat with some Angels in Notting Hill (I think) but would never talk about what went on regarding them. Definitely one of my favorites of theirs, being a biker (non patch wearer)
This is exactly what I have felt the first time I've heard back in the days at 13. My holy God, I never ever would have thought there is a live footage of.
You're supposedly to be flying down the highway pissed and stoned on a motorcycle with an unfeasably large engine of dubious reliability. Which in hindsight is largely the same thing.
He rides a road that don't have no end An open highway without any bends Tramp and his stallion, alone in a dream Proud in his colours, as the chromium gleams On iron horse he flies On iron horse he gladly dies Iron horse's his wife, iron horse's his life He lives his life, he's living it fast Don't try to hide when the dice have been cast He rides a whirlwind that cuts to the bone Loaded forever, ferociously stoned On iron horse he flies On iron horse he gladly dies Iron horse's his wife, iron horse's his life Yeah, slide it to me One day, one day, gonna go for the sun Together they'll fly on the eternal run Wasted forever on speed bikes and booze Yeah, us and the brothers, say "we're all born to lose" On iron horse he flies On iron horse he gladly dies Iron horse's his wife, iron horse's his life Iron horse's alive, iron horse's a wife Iron horse's a wife, iron horse's alive
Now, THIS is Motorhead. Philthy, Eddie, Lem. No substitute
Its not that Campbell and Dee are bad musicians. But i definetley agree with you
Yes, of fucking curse!!!!!!
Original 3 🤘
@@antekm2639 Lem had good taste in musicians.
Well spotted.
Listening to Motorhead having a ton of beer, completely shitfaced, one of the greatest pleasures of a man's life!
Ctrl V
Oh Yes! and a few tokes on the bubble too! 😳
I got hard into motorhead a few months after a shitty breakup.. got my balls back thats for sure
Hell yeah brother!
I agree brother
I was at the hammersmith gig
RIP EDDIE CLARKE
1950 - 2018
We will all miss you
"Fast" Eddie Clarke ! ! !
When phil & eddie left something went with them....the swing in the drumbeat and the dirty blues guitar feel.
Too fucking right matey!!
Yep. This was the best line up. The latter line ups moved too close to pure bludgeon and lost the swing and bluesy feel.
the best lineup as far as i'm concerned
riversidepete 61 either to me.
riversidepete 61 absolutely!!!!
As far as everybody's concerned.
This was MOTÖRHEAD, without Eddie and Philty it was just Lemmy and some dudes, not saying everything went compleatly into the shitter but yeah, THIS was MOTÖRHEAD!
The original is always the best....♠️
The work Philthy does is just overwhelming
I really miss em.
the holy trinity of
Lemmy, Clarke, Taylor,
made the holy trinity of
Overkill, Bomber, Ace of Spades
Best drums of all Motörhead songs. What a groooooove!
this vinyl changed my life . R.I.P. Lemmy, Phility, Fast Eddie
Me to...still listen to it to this day..superb album..
My favourite all time song ❤️
decent choise
The only true and best Motorhead line up. No disrespect.

Awesome! Us skinheads still love Motörhead.
Saw them late in their career. ‘Cocoa with Lemmy’ mugs for sale in the foyer!! x
'Wasted forever, ferociously stoned'😂
Iron horse born to lose
That guitar solo almost makes me cry.
I love how Motorhead always played the live versions of their songs faster
Speed does that, haha.
Especially Iron Horse born to lose ! ! !
My parents had a turntable once that was a little sped up. I had a compilation/promotional album in which Killed By Death and I think Ace Of Spades were on. This is as good as it gets. From the greatest live album of all time, so glad I saw Motörhead twice at Newcastle City Hall
Awesome song...Best ever Motorhead lineup...r.i.p...you are not forgotten...forever in our hearts...💔🇮🇹
I saw Motorhead at the Newcastle Mayfair in 1998 still struggling to hear properly to this day!
Long live Motorhead and motorcycles.
Nothing like the freedom of a bike. I grew up around bikes, rode a 1200cc soft tail custom when I was 12. But miss them now.
Nearly wrecked my cars starter motor after a MH gig as I couldn't hear the engine .
my dad had to lie on the car bonnet to feel if the engine was running once after seeing a rainbow gig as he couldnt hear shit lol.
I know you're not lying because I've been to a motorhead gig and noticed they are by far the loudest band I've seen live. Murder one!
@@TheCodexNecro Yep loudest I've ever been to also. Beat the big boys like Slayer and Metallica by far. Gave me a few dizzy spells!

Motorhead is Lemmy,Phil and Eddie.
No argument!
The coolest fucking band of all time! R.I.P. Fellas thanks for the timeless tunes
Best drummer ever .Phil animal Taylor
I'm with you, but for Lemmy that was Mikkey Dee, like he always said during concerts.
I can't stop air drumming on this one
So good it’s virtually unbelievable. The real deal
I have the Fortune to see them Live in Sweden 81 and 82 , it was like a punch in the face and i couldn´t hear for a week.
Miss it. MOTÖRHEAD R.I.P.🙏🤘
Saw this lineup 3 times
I’ve been to many concerts but these 3 during the ace of spades era were unbeatable in my opinion …
So many thanks for the upload. You've made my day. A very special song to me and exactly in that version. It is the quintessential Rock'n'Roll. Pure gold!
Love all the Motorhead music but my teens were spent in this era so it has special memories for me.
Best Line Up !
SUPER HEAVY
FCK born to be wild....Iron Horse is the true biker hymn
I got chills listening to the first few seconds. Powerful lyrics and powerful performance.

Amazing,so few songs dedicated to biker/motorcycle culture.

Lemmy the biker, without license and bike, but the song is well done.

NoW THAT s MUSIC!!! AwEsOmE!!!
Interesting fact, on the album no sleep til hammersmith, iron horse does not come from the same tour as the others, but from a performance in 1980.
The original powerhouse.
Motorhead is life
Pretty good guitar work.
definition of cool
2 fucking legends gone... Kick ass up there Phil and Lemmy 🤘
this came out a few months before i was born but it's the track of theirs i vibe with the most. gutted i never saw them live.
Goosebump city with the HELL ANGELS!!!

Loaded forever, ferociously stoned
On iron horse he flies
On iron horse he gladly dies
Iron horse's his wife, iron horse's his life

One day, one day, gonna go for the sun
Together they'll fly on the eternal run

Iron horse's alive, iron horse's a wife
Iron horse's a wife, iron horse's alive
