This guy has been a legend for well over 20 years. Forget all the crazy theory and analytics and metrics and all the math blah blah. This guy can scope out a rat in a hood from 1500 yards away with a no scope rifle. What a call!
Sorry but guys like Voggelsang completely drain the fun out the game, I understand he’s playing for a lot of money but that hood is ridiculous. I would genuinely feel embarrassed to play like this vs the biggest legend in poker

poker feels so frustrating to watch now. The time bank chips helps abit but still some players take the full 30 seconds to lay down their hands even though they know they gonna fold or vice versa...
I think the way Vogelsang played the hand was kind of incorrect. A10 or K10 would and should pretty much always re-raise the flop because you´ve got 8-10 and 2 clubs on the board. And you obviously shouldn´t give drawing hands free draws for no reason. So the turn bet doesn´t make any sense considering that he can no longer represent A10 or K10 correctly, because he didn´t re-raise the flop. So the only thing Vogel could have where the bet is legit on the turn is an 8, and the probability for hitting trips, well, it´s small. So Ivey is thinking to himself that if Vogel doesn´t have an 8 then he is probably on a draw like J9 or 79 or any of the hand combinations with 2 clubs. When the king hits the river Ivey now only has to fade 2 hand combinations which is A10, K-10, or the 8.. So the call makes a lot of sense in the long run. When he does have the case 8 it sucks though. Nice fucking call Ivey.
How can you re-raise the flop with At and KT if there is only a bet and a call? Why should Vogel shove AT on the river? And what about other Tx combinations? And Vogel can also have 33 guess he could play it the same way maybe...
Terrible bluff, if you have a strong hand on flop, you must raise on it, so you donk on turn can only represent an 8, and how often you have an 8 and donk? This is why Ivey can catch this shit bluff
@@anthonycarreira8045 you really think high roller never make mistake in a long period session? Come on, what so unacceptable when a pro made a wrong play
@@jjonsale If you actually count how many combos of 8x vogel has, compared to natural bluffs OTR, it's actually a really scary spot for Ivey. Also ranges are tighter due to it being multiway til the turn.
Perhaps not the best play by Vogelsang. That check on the flop really didn't mesh well with repping trips. If you have mid-pair on the flop, do you not bet that? I think that's a raise most times as the mid-pair is gonna want to know where they stand and to shake out higher draws. Still, it was a semi-tough read b/c sometimes it is just a check there. Probably what tipped the scale was the 250k shove on the K, basically shouting that Vogel wasn't worried about K8, 10/10, KK, 3/3. It didn't make much sense. Why blast into that? It felt very bluff heavy. I'm curious if Vogel bets smaller, like 175k, if Ivey finds the call. The 10's have value, but if there is a good chance for trip 8's? He might just fold that.
This is one of those hands that put me to sleep. This is the best hand that Ivey played for you to make this video? As I write this, it's the end of day of this event and Ivey is nowhere to be found so I must assume that he definitely made the WRONG move somewhere along the line.
