    Japan Radio Tower, commonly known as Tokyo Tower, is a comprehensive radio tower located in Shiba Park, Minato-ku, Tokyo.
    Completed on December 23, 1958. It is a symbol of Tokyo and a tourist attraction.
    Overview
    Its founder was Hisakichi Maeda, and it was designed by Tanaka Naito, who is also known as Japan's "Dr. Tower" (see design for details).

    The height is advertised as 333 meters, and 351 meters above sea level. The distance between the tower legs is 88.0 meters, based on the center of the tower legs. The total construction cost was about 3 billion yen. It is a radio tower with a truss structure that has observatories at 125 meters (approximately 150 meters above sea level) and 223.55 meters (approximately 250 meters above sea level).
    As a daytime obstacle sign, it is painted alternately with yellow-red (international orange) and white from the top. Transmits broadcast waves as an antenna for TV and FM radio (see #Transmission frequency/output), and also transmits emergency signals as an antenna for protective radio for East Japan Railway Company (JR East), as well as various measuring instruments of the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Bureau of Environment. are also installed.
    It was the tallest building in Japan when it was completed, but it was the tallest building in Japan until June 26, 1968, when the Ogasawara Islands were returned to Japan and it was overtaken by the Minamitorishima Loran Tower and Iwojima Loran Tower. Nine and a half years, or about 11 years from the dismantling of Omega Tower in Tsushima (Nagasaki Prefecture) to the passing of Tokyo Skytree. As far as free-standing steel towers go, it was the tallest in Japan for about 51 and a half years until it was overtaken by Tokyo Skytree. As of 2020, it is the second tallest building in Japan after Tokyo Skytree. The weight is said to be about 4,000 tons.

    昭和生まれですから 東京🗼タワー大好きです 浜松町 降り立って眺める東京🗼タワー最高 感激します定期的に 外装塗装塗り替え 鉄部保護の為 管理行き届いて います 未来永劫残して行きたいです😂
