Its very very sad that most people that watch this video will assume its crap because its not "as good as hearthstone" or "Krip is a sellout". The mechanics in the game are fun and adventurous with a lot of freedom, especially with combo decks. I think hearthstone is in very rapid decline and ive totally lost interest in a game thats just RNG and shaman

I just started playing Shadowverse today. Maybe it's only because it's new to me, but I'm finding it to be genuinely really fun. I wouldn't mind seeing more Shadowverse content in the future.

I think the best part about the expansion is the Rush mechanic. It's Charge, but you can't go face. In 1 expansion Shadowverse found a way to fix what might have been an Aggro overload issue...and Blizzard still can't figure it out 3 expansions and 4 adventures in. I will not be shocked if this is the idea Blizzard ends up using, we've already seen the base of it with their nerf to the Warrior card Charge.
Might aswell rename charge as it doesnt give charge anymore

Just tried, showers you with packs in the beginning and it plays smooth and snappy. I like it so far. Definitely more generous and seems more varied than HS.
HighLanderPony my only problem with it so far is there's no cap on legendary cards per deck thus increasing the cost you need to spend to get meta acceptable decks and it increases the degree to which you are punished since the deck size is 40 and your opponents can have 3 of each powerful legendary. in hs getting one of each powerful super rare card is enough in shadowverse it's tripled as any card can be a 3 of. not even mentioning the epics which are super neccessary
Not all legendaries are actually good though in multiples. Sure, there are some, but playing 3 of each is a huge liability in most cases.
I've been playing it for about 1,5 months and I have a competitive Havencraft deck (at least it does really well on B1) which costs about 20000 vials (spent less on it since I got a lot of cards from just packs). In fact from the packs and vials have given me enough resource to start to build a second competitive deck. So if you're new, don't worry, ranks don't reset, so everybody on your rank is new as well, so you can just use your basic decks. Do the story modes, understand the mechanics, then use up your free arena tickets and by the time you move up to more competitive ranks, you'll have enough resources to make the deck you want.
any site where i can find budget decks? i pulled 2 crystalia tias and an elf king as my legendarie s(in addition to fafnir and that guy that destroys amulets from heavencraft but forest is too expensive because of the ancient elves
thechrisgrice that's definitely true but even a two of is super expensive and the power gap between bronze and silver cards vs gold and legendary seems massive (there's no piloted shredder or similar very powerful commons)
Kripp's not lying when he says you can play for free. I've been playing casually for only 2 months and I've already got 2 complete competitive decks with a fair amount of extra elixir. The game gives you a ton of free packs, gold, and arena entrances.

I love the disproportionate amount of downvotes lol. I've played both Shadowverse and Hearthstone a good amount, and I prefer Shadowverse. It's a great game, and I'm happy Kripp likes it.
Sasaki Also, it runs smoothly on my older ipad and Hearthstone simply doesn't, it's unplayable on mobile for me.

Leonidas' Resolve is not a collectible card. It's a token generated by the card "Leonidas" when he dies. He's a 9 Mana 7/9 with the Last Word (death rattle, basically) to summon Leonidas' Resolve.
Dat mechanic looks so coo, it looks hard and it must feel great when you manage to do that combo with multiple turns, I wish HS had something like your dimension shift deck.
Never rest been too interested but now that I heard its on steam I can't wait to play it! Especially with that exodus type combo which was featured which HS doesn't allow , always loved "Win the game" effects

Kripp Leonidas's Resolve is actually an amulet that comes into play from the Last Words effect of Leonidas a 9 cost 7/8 follower
FYI Leonida's Resolve isnt the card you get in the pack. You get "Leonidas" which is a follower who last words Leonida's Resolve. A Swordcraft deck with two of these and plenty of 1-3 drops is amazing fun.
My favorite class is Forestcraft and Swordcraft. Many reinforcements are obtained in them.

One of the that seems so good to me from the new expansion is Azazel. Its a bloodcraft minion that changes both leaders life to 10, i think it has a lot of potential to play a combo deck

It's on steam now, not sure how long it has been. But just started playing today. Seems pretty cool, the evolve mechanic is a nice twist and it's a nice blend of familiar hs like mechanics with some nice odd ball stuff that makes it a bit crazier. Lot of arena entries too. Hope the grind for F2P players isn't too bad.

Holy crap, what does Kripp have in that Runecraft deck?! That's one of the best decks I've seen since I started playing shadowverse. Also, that guy in the third match just showed why you should never get cocky and play with your opponent.

+Rodkool P It's actually a decent deck at high ranks right now. There was a Japanese tournament about a week ago with 2 Seraph decks out of 3 Haven in the top 16 and there is an English tournament going on today in which Seraph is making quite a showing.
this game is pretty good, kripp try the havencrafter combo prayer...you can win without do any dmg to an enemy..i think you will enjoy alot

On another note, the super power cards cost 3500 vials to craft. Spending $79.99 for 5000 crystals will not net you enough vials to craft even a single legendary card, so you better pray you pull everything you need.

Thanks dude! I really enjoy watching your Shadowverse videos, also it's the reason of why I started playing it. I think it is way better than Hearthstone, the evolve mechanic is so good and overall, I don't see it too much as a Pay2win game (not like Hearhtstone I think). Maybe because they give you tons of packs when you start playing, but you can also get easy gold with achievements that allows you to have a lot of cards too. I really hope you'll keep up with these videos.
This game is absolutely amazing, I don't get why so many people would dislike these videos just because they are sponsored.

Why does the game have low reviews?
I actually won a game with Enstatued Seraph, it was awesome. But I feel like it can be abused a lot, since so many Havencraft cards reduce the timer on amulets, technically you can activate this card in the turn after it was played and just win.
Yes, but for that to happen, you need to first make it to turn 8 so you can play it and then survive a turn with nothing useful played and in addition to that, have the cards you need in your hand.
It's like in Magic...

Miku Chan Well, I played a bit of ranked in Shadowverse and from what I can see, pretty much everybody is palying slow decks, so it's not very difficult to make it to turn 8. What really punishes playing Enstatued Seraph is cards that banish amulets, if your opponent has one then you've effectively skipped a turn.
turn 8 is just too far in the game and aggro decks in the game are rampant
And you can change the audio and the graphics (there is a guide on Steam) and you don't get the censored version + Japanese audio, I did it and now I don't want to play on the tablet lol
I play both and like the look of heartstone more but like the story in this game more

just downloaded on steam today, first time playing, and i got 36 free packs just for completing the tutorial. this game is so generous WOW!
This game is actually really cool. Love playing luna. I also love how every deck is like a combo deck
Btw just for completing the tutorial (from steam) and getting the game they give you like 31 free basic packs and 20 free darkness evolved packs. which let me build a whole deck instantly.
And Kripp is right. His Time Shift Dimension Runecraft deck which is currently an S-tier deck would have an advantage over Storm/Garuda Haven which is A-tier since its still not aggro enough to win by the time his win condition activates by turn 9 or 10.
Polokpva The beef I have with his deck is that he was praising Minion combat in the video's intro, but plays a deck that is essentially void of it. Like its ok if you wanna play Stall OTK decks, just don't preach Minion combat as you do that. That's like being a Buddhist and singing the praises of Jesus.
Polokpva Uh, what? You have absolutely no idea what you're talking about. D-shift is T2, Storm AND Heal Haven are both T1 decks.
Storm Haven typically wins on Turn 6 or 7, and a decent curve will deny a D-shift any spell targets until Turn 5. Which is usually when Amulets start to pop. And since the current Storm list run x3 Shrine Knight, having one completely blocks all targeted spells that can't go face.
Which means, and Rune's ONLY counters are Caprice and Calamitous on the following turn, in which case you're still taking at least 7 damage from Beastcaller and Birdsong. Then you have Garuda, which can insta-pop a Pinion Prayer, for a total maximum of another 7 instant damage. Or Al'Miraj which is up to 5 damage itself and doubles as an excellent clear for Ice Golems.
Combined with Dance of Death to reach, Gabriel to punish any plays that don't remove everything on Turn 6, and Gilgamesh to end the match on Turn 8... Trust me, in a Storm Haven vs D-shift matchup, Storm Haven is very much favored like 5-1.
Any other Haven decks falls to D-shift. But not Storm Haven. Lmao. S-class? What site are you using that classes decks like that? SV decks are tiered, not lettered.
Chase Logan oh God so sorry you're absolutely right. I've mainly been playing mid-range swordcraft and ptp Forestcraft so I've been able to last till mid-late game for a victory and assumed storm Haven can be slowed down by Runecraft removals which always destroyed me. The only way D-shift can slow down Storm Haven is with Kaleidoscope Glow. And even so, it doesn't do much thanks to Garuda. I guess you could swap Kaleidoscope Glow with Petrification, and Insight with Teachings of Creation to Tech against OTK/Storm/Heal Haven. But you lose too much tempo and in the end, it's not worth it.
The only real opposition Rune has against Storm Haven is Earth Rune decks. Which, with the right draws, completely wreck Storm Haven.
My biggest issue with this video is that Kripp, who is capable of making excellent plays, decided that the most Autopilot deck in the game is the most fun to play.
He's actually terrible at this game, and his reasoning process behind his decisions are hilarious. But, I like watching him play because he is getting better. I'll be interested to see how much he's improved in the next 6 months or so.

The Steam version has been delayed :/ so there's no PC version yet. You have to stick with the emulator/phone version for now.

Hey Kripp, you have said multiple times that you enjoy both Faeria and Shadowverse as much as Hearthstone. How about you made a second channel dedicaded to all the non Blizzard games you play so that the fanboys on the main channel are satisfied and us others can enjoy Faeria and Shadowverse more frecuently
It's pretty fun. I got like zero legendaries in my 40 free packs. I'm kinda sad about it actually but oh well, it's like that for me with hearthstone too. The game is pretty fun without them anyway and you can make some pretty interesting decks with just the dust you get early on.
I got 3 from mine, so it can happen. They didn't look that good, but still, way more generous than HS. There are some other cool things like neutral spells and some deck control, too (cycle cards and whatnot).
You can reset the game for a shot at legendaries. But by now you probably already have a couple.
I thought they would've learnt from MTG... Extra turns are hard to balance. I really hope those extra turns are well balanced.
I didn't talk about going second, I talked about extra turns. Extra turn cards can easily break the game, that's what I'm afraid of.

feelsbadman played Shadowverse on my phone and got an awesome Dragon craft deck and Forte. The I had to delete it on accident and I hadn't linked my account

This Dimension Warp thing seems a little degenerate. is there any way to play around it other than killing them before he gets 3 free turns?
Duelknight Well, you see, in order to make a super consistent D shift deck, you need 3 legendaries: Merlin, Merlin, and Merlin. The odds of getting all three through free packs is very low. crafting them cost 3500 dust each.
Without rerolling accounts or dumping every bit of dust into runecraft, this deck is hard and expensive to make.
This deck is also weak to a popular archetype called Storm Haven, which runs every storm minion it can and is capable of beat down wins by turn 5. This archetype is also fairly cheap to craft, and there are many similar ones that also have a good matchup.
If you want to win against this, you pray that your opponent doesn't draw d shift or Merlin, or that you play too fast.
If you're worried about runecraft dominating the meta, don't worry, because it actually isn't. It's a good game. every class is honestly viable, and I myself have a deck for every class because I don't reroll my account until the packs give me the exact legendaries I want.
Duelknight So, no, there isn't, but wards help, and it's fairly unlikely that they get all 3 free turns in a row without luck.

Duelknight Theres a lot of degenerate stuff in the game. Enstatued Seraph is win on turn 9 if you have 3 cheap cool down reducers. thankfully all of the degenerate stuff requires good draw.

Ogier78 You cant compare the gigantic collection with a newer one. You can build competitive Decks in Shadowverse really fast through Take two and Story mode. Together with 6~ free packs per month just for log in is pretty generous. I reached A ranks without spending money.
