weird coincidence!! I was just on a FB group asking about this.. My question was "what is the first thing I should do when I get off the plane?" and of course nobody actually answered that question. Love your channel!!! My wife and I are looking to possibly retire to Thailand in about 4 or 5 years. You have provided a lot of great insight. One thing I am curious about. Maybe you could talk about it in a future video. How did you leave things back in the US? Such as banking. Many banks don’t want you as a customer if you live abroad. Do you have or need a legal address in the US? Do you have someone in the US doing your taxes? What’s the timing of getting both taxes done. I assume you need to file in Thailand before filing in the US for the foreign tax credit. I’ll be in Chiang Mai for a visit early November. Any suggestions on must see attractions. If we are only in the north for 5 days is Chiang Rai a suggested destination or should I stay in the Chiang Mai area? Keep up the good work, look forward to seeing more of your videos.

Yes, but they will still take you to your destination if you don’t have one. The police though could pull you over.

Depends on the ATM, but normally it’s between 20,000-25,000 Baht.
