- Hi friends!! Come with me to the Bushline Hut in Nelson Lakes National Park in New Zealand (Aotearoa)! New Zealand has tons of huts (basically cabins) run by the Department of Conservation in the mountains and national parks that you can stay at overnight, so I thought this would be a great adventure to bring you along! I hope you enjoy seeing another beautiful place around New Zealand and coming along for another hiking vlog adventure!

I find hiking poles/stick eases the harder walking routes. You can get ones that can extend/shorten the pole
Ah maybe I’ll have to try them again next time! In the past when I’ve used hiking poles they’ve always just gotten in the way/been a burden to carry when I’m not using them! but definitely might help with the uphills!

That is a lovely tramp up to Bushline Hut...I have been there many times. You should have continued up and over the ridge and walked down the Pinchgut Track. It has fantastic views of Nelson Lakes NP and the distant Kahurangi NP...
It was amazing!! We continued up a bit but I don’t think we made it all the way over the ridge! The views were incredible though!
