@LuvMyCommander awesome, I'm looking at the wk and the xk, haven't decided which yet. I don't plan on hauling anything, just wasn't sure how powerful it was, seems to have no problem though. No hauling, just like a little trailing
I have a black commander all I do is drive around if I see mud I go I don't have to think I love that this jeep is awesome I have done some mods but just lights and a subwoofer they hear me conning on the trails and laugh wen 7 people get out
@Nh3man83 I hear it's best recommended that you have 31s, I'm sure anything else would rub off road. 31s are tight on it though. You can find a 4 inch lift though, google custom commanders and the expedition versions show the brand for it, which clears 33s easily
do all three jeeps have the quadratrac sytem or quadradrive.just wonderin cuz i know that depending on what setup you have it makes quite the difference as far as off road capabilities.
@crackerjackoriginal Depends on what you want plan to do with it. Unfortunately the Commander is no longer in production so that is not always quite a good thing. They are great vehicles and very off road capable but if you plan on keeping it for a long time it probably wouldn't be a good investment over a Wrangler. I love my Commander but the modification options are limited so if you're into mods then I would definitely go with a Wrangler.
I am LOST on how you call this off roading and really didn't get dirty?.. I just got me a 07 Overland and having 1 issue so far with it lol. About 65-80MPH the steering wheel starts shaking pretty bad. It's on warranty so thats ok, but any ideas on what to have them look into? If I recall they did rotate my tires.. I am wondering why these can't tow much? Says they can tow 7,2000 Lbs. They weigh 6,500 LBS. Most cars-trucks-suv's can tow Twice there own weight.. Other question is I am seeing many people are putting lift kits on these. They are AWD, wouldn't that screw up the AWD system or the way it handles? I would think so!
umm..........a little traction with some good AT tires would make that a breeze. Out where I am, we wouldn't be caught dead with close to stock tires. Step up the game boyz.
I was hoping to see some off roading. I know its more.capable then that, especially with m/ts my yard floods to a soupy mess under a foot of water and if a fwd car can make it through then awd surely could with ease, but idk maybe their still to new for anyone to risk offroading one, for those who find need for a 4wd don't buy such new things?
I had an 06 with 2.5 inches and 31 inch KM2 QT2 v8 and this video doesnt help show they can do anything at all... That is NOT deep water at all and thats a little dirt path with a pothole. I was down at the badlands yesterday in my wrangler. If you wanted to show them doing something and try to impress people you shouldnt show the easiest things in the park.
I have a 2007 commando 3.7v6 Man that thing goes everywhere good on snow I'm very happy with it
I guess it depends on the transfer-4x4 system. The JK (wrangler) still uses the manual-lever operated transfer case.
I really like the white Commander. Very cool video
Awesome...I Love Jeeps....Not a hard offroad but the kind of stuff i like to do!

I just purchase a 2006 Jeep Commander! So excited to go off roading! Are you all satisfied with your Commanders? Any regrets?
Why are they driving so low in that easy terrain?
@BROWNINGF150 Yes, the brown and white ones were V6 3.7L.
My 4.7 is a beast in the sand haven't been stuck yet running everything stock with a qt system

When are you guys doing another run. I live in Indy my brother and I both just bought one.
Do any of them have auto 4x4 with no switch? That's what mine has and I'm not sure if a light comes on when it needs 4x4 or If it's full time
which ones yours? where did ( one of you ) get the bull bar insert and lights? gonna put a 2" on mine with some duratracs or something

Is the v6 seem powerful enough? I know the 4.7 only has 25 more hp but the hemi seems the best to go. Is the V6 good enough in comparison off road?
did any of the commanders have the rear sway bar disconnected?
Does the rough country spacer cause much of a ride issue on the highway
I own a 06 4.7 LTD and was wondering after you put the spacer kits in did you change out shock size?
@BROWNINGF150 Any of the 4x4 Commanders are all time 4WD
With that 2" lift how big can you go on tires? What do you have?
wow, that is extreme. jeep shirt too, really extreme.

Can someone tell me why Jeep switched to automatic 4x4 instead of being able to switch it into 4x4 yourself.

nice to see the Commander off road, buy um to use um or sell them to someone that will
is that the 3.7 v6
Would I be wasting money if I bought a Commander over a Wrangler
why the orange flags?
Jd Texan They're required by the park. Improves visibility since there are other types of vehicles around.
To be seen by other drivers as you Crest over hills
