If they did make an animated series based on this game, I can picture it lasting at least 2 seasons. One for the "Water Chip" storyline, and the other for the "Kill the Super Mutants" storyline.
In the opening part in the vault, the first person part looked so cool. I wish there was fallout FPS but with the fallout 1 story and these FMV graphics!
YES YES YES! Maybe even a fallout spin off how you described where you play fallout 2 from the perspective of the enclave. I'll call it "Fallout: Enclave". I know I know, brilliant name.
I agree these ones had such a nihilistic approach to the material and left me stunned by its bleakness, however I do like what 3 and the other ones accomplish, even if some of the best stories from those can't match the main story of 1+2
To be fair, back in fallout 1 the wasteland was pretty much chaotic and lawless, hence the eerie feel, but by the time with the rest of the franchise, law and order is finally established, that's why from Fallout 3 , New Vegas, and 4 is somehow light-hearted.
@@JKgyaru6969 Nah. Fallout 3 and 4 lost the plot, and New Vegas didn't do enough with the Legion/NCR war to make the game as dark as it should have been.
Wow if they came up with all these back then, this is really creative genius,on par with games like max Payne bioshock diablo 2,silent hill and all that, the Gameworld, atmosphere and storytelling.......man 90s and 2000s was really the golden era of gaming.....lived thru it and didn't even realise it...
I think what had to do with it is there was so much passion back then. Gaming was not main stream at all like it is these days. Most modern gaming is just trying to chase a profit
***** I feel that killing the Overseer would make him right. It would prove that life in the wasteland has changed me so much that I would be willing to kill someone for reasons other than self defense. Plus it would leave the vault in chaos.
Thanks. I really didn't expect this video to do so well. I originally didn't have plans to do 2 anytime soon but a lot of people are asking for it so I bumped it up in my queue.
StoryGamer sweet!! I have been watching a let’s play of it, but it is hard to spend 60 hours watching a guy do this when your videos are so well put together that you feel like you get all the important story elements with less of the walking around and doing nothing. Not to mention shorter battles. Well done! Subbed and looking forward to it if it ever comes out
Not bad attempt, a few things could have made it much better. You really should have turned combat speed up(about 1/3 at least), and shortened some of the filler scenes (combat and walking), maybe could have reduced the "movie" by a hour, if you did. Also Space ends turn, must be about 3 or more minutes of nothing but you mousing over to the Turn button.
@@JabamiLain The only thing that we know of it so far is the storyline and that Walton Goggins, Ella Purnell, Kyle MacLachlan, Xelia Mendes-Jones and Aaron Moten are part of the cast.
Bro could’ve stayed in the fault and none of them have to talk about his adventures. It could’ve literally been a shush history cause none of them will ever leave
Great post. Fallout 3 is my favorite so far. Even though New Vegas is supposedly a direct sequel, I could never imagine myself playing Fallout 1 and 2, though it's good to see what Bethesda saw in the originals for them to want to take this franchise to another level. What's crazy is this one looks to have better voice acting than Fallout 4, lol.
I prefer a voice for the character. Silent protagonists should become a thing of the past considering today's tech, as the immersion isn't fully there without a voice as my character never truly has a personality until a voice is added. The only way I could find a silent protag as passable nowadays is if you could somehow read the lines yourself for the responses via VR or a headset or something, as that beats your character not saying anything at all and it just being left up to your imagination(ugh). What FO 4 should've done was have more than one option for the voice but that would've taken more time to do.
I have about 20 hours of footage recorded for Fallout 2 so far but what +Idazmi7 said is true. There are a lot of places in Fallout two that have no reason to visit according to the main story. It will take a lot of work to piece it all together in a way that makes sense. Plus I still have another 20 hours of gameplay to go. I've been really busy with work and school lately so I haven't uploaded in a a while but I will be taking 6 months off from school in a couple of months. Finishing fallout 2 will be one of my top priorities. I was also lucky enough to find the rare Brotherhood of Steel PS2 game in Goodwill. :) That will be going up also.
StoryGamer thats true, there are so many options in Fo2 that can change the story. You could always try to make it as close to canon as you can, even then there is a lot to do. Also, ive never even seen footage of BoS on ps2, i've read it's the worst thing ever! Can't wait to see em both.
M A. I only played it for an hour to make sure it works and it's completely different than the other Fallout games. But it does have a story. I'm not sure if it's canon though. I will have to do some research.
Judgeing on the fact that no one knows what happens to the vault thirteen Hero and how the last scene of him shows him limping towards a descert leading nowhere and is left with nothing my guess is he shot himself out of grief.
reminds new Fallout 4 environments but I dislike armor and weapons in F4 ^^, and this Sims effect.. Grow/Build/Defend - instead of Krush/Kill/Destroy ^^
I don't know why, but I feel like the overseer animation in the beginning was really good for its time.
It's good.
I'd even consider it one of the best for today's game.
Cough cough mass effect Andromeda
It looks almost as good as the animations of the original oddworld
It's good but it scared the shit out of me when I was playing it as a kid
They used real faces and took photos of them kinda of like stop motion, i think. So practical effects spliced together.
well ya see the reason you feel that way is because it is good
I would like to see an animated series of Fallout with this kind of graphic from the first cutscene.
Yep
If they did make an animated series based on this game, I can picture it lasting at least 2 seasons. One for the "Water Chip" storyline, and the other for the "Kill the Super Mutants" storyline.
this aged quite well
Like a nineteen fifties cartoon or seventies

I wish the ghouls in Fallout 4 looked more like these, they look so terrifying!
Ghouls were scary in FO 3 and 4 coming out of nowhere sometimes
@@joshuacarpenter7447 Probably bugging out of the ground
Ik this is 4 years old but hey there's always graphic and texture mods.
Fallout 1 and 2 where alot more darker and brutal than 3 and new vegas.
Yes they were. I liked that.
Nothing more brutal and dark than punching giant scorpions to death with brass knuckles
I agree these ones had such a nihilistic approach to the material and left me stunned by its bleakness, however I do like what 3 and the other ones accomplish, even if some of the best stories from those can't match the main story of 1+2
3 and New Vegas seem almost nihilistic compared to 4, though. 4 is just straight up garbage in terms of thematic consistency.
Good memories watching this. I had the Bloody Mess perk and I automatically shot the Overseer when he kicked me out of the vault at the end.
🤣🤣🤣
"You have no idea how sad I am to send you back out 🙂"
1:07:33 No way! Buzz Lightyear is in the game!? awesome!
I never kew he was part of the brotherhood
Damn I never knew
He looks a bit old.
This game is a real gem.
RIP Dogmeat :(
Better facial animation than fallout 4, especially that Brotherhood initiate.
+Alex Pratt stop talking bs
I believe that the lip sync is better than F04
+Rakel Ann it is especially with how bad mama murphys animation was in concord

Because of fallout 4s release, I challenge myself to watch the whole video... FOR FALLOUT 4

I would love to see and updated version of the original fallout
So would I. That dark and oppressive atmosphere, smart writing, and an anti war message that actually has some clout.
It’s project arroyo it’s fallout 2 fallout 4
Or remake
Should Fallout be dark as the original or more light hearted as now?
I'd say it should be dark and eerie.
Dark, game franchises that have been around since the 90s have been ruined by the lightness for casuals
Dark.
Dark.
Dark, it's how fallout should be to remind us how the world would look like if theres a WW3
