Dying Light has been incredibly hyped for the past couple of months. And deservedly so. The game controls well, although the control layout itself feels a little counterintuitive at times, once you get used to it it'll feel fine. The main aspect that differentiates this game from most of any other survival horror game is the freedom of movement. There are some good free running mechanics here, and in many situations running away is a much more viable options than trying to stay and fight
Storywise, you take the role of Kyle Crane, an undercover operative parachuted into a quarantine zone on a secret mission to find a stolen document. This game has it's slow moments, but it'll keep you intrigued throughout. The game isn't really about zombies, it's about the politics in a crumbling society. The zombies are just a backdrp for a greater drama. That being said, there can be some scary moments if you are really engrossed in the game. There won't be many, don't expect jump scares every other minute. But when they do appear, they are surprising and can make you jump out of your seat.

8 years later and this game still holds up well. thats a sign of a dev team that really cared about the final product, instead of throwing an unfinished game at the public

Crane could've just hidden the antizin drop, so if things went south with Rais, he would still have it as a backup.

Contradae I'd save about 20 in a backpack then hide the crate in a lake for backup if something went wrong at the tower or if I was running out
Hunter he pockets some actually if you watch the cutscene but I don't know why he doesn't hide the rest for backup
He takes one but never uses it, he could of used it to save jade

This was not only the best zombie game I ever played, but honestly is my favorite all time game. It took everything you loved away from you. The following sequel was a fitting end to the nightmare glimpse into what life would be in a fallen society.

Not entirely realistic as I would just disregard GRE order to destroy the antizen. Instead I'll pocket it for future use and keep some for the tower. And shoot raise in the head at 1:49:55

This game had a decent story. I don't know why people say it was bad. When I went in the game, I was expecting it to be Far Cry 2 bland, but it was not bad at all.

Well, most of the power in harran is mostly gone, seeing as most buildings don’t even have power and the ones that do have UV lights and power boxes probably set up by the previous inhabitants. So I doubt they have internet, or at least they’re stuck with crappy service.

I think the fact that Crane got bitten and infected made him feel for people in Harran, made him one of them. That's why he sent GRE the hell away.

1:50:15 is the saddest moment in my opinion. All that poor man wanted to do was help people.

Facial animation getting better and better with each gen release. Really connected with the storyline and wished that some things would have changed for a better ending. Even if it sounds cheesy.
God, I love Roger Craig Smith's voice! It's so fun to listen too! Now everytime I hear his voice in this game, I keep thinking "Oh sbit! Mirage was in Dying Light before he joined the Apex Games!"

That voice of Crane was just so familliar i had to look it up. What hit it home is that he Voiced Ezio Auditore from the Assassin's Creed series. The best games ever made in the franchise. But Chris Redfield instantly reminded me of Resident Evil 5. I played that way to much to even be able to forget that voice. But that he voiced the Clay bombing blondie in Naruto. Just awesome.
