Looks bloody fantastic, good God almighty I need this on my shelf now! Really gutted I passed up on the Jack Burton 1/6 when I had the chance a few yrs back.
Actually managed to get the shotgun and flamethrower held with both hands. Quite easy. Articulation is pretty good and smooth, once you're not under pressure with the camera running. 😂 I'm a bit surprised at the missing hat and the lack of J&B bottles and dynamite though. But, overall, he's Mac. 👍🥃🥃🥃👍

Bearded Kurt is a tough one to get right. His main features are his robust jawline and dimples and a beard covers all that up. But they did a good job from the looks of it.
I meant to mention the hoodie. I guess it would be quite bulky with the extra layer, maybe? Hope you get yours soon, Peter. I think you'll be pleased. 🥃👍🥃

Kilt man, just started watching the video. I have several of these 1/6th scale figures, they vary in quality but when you get a good one they are works of art! Tip for you when changing hands and heads, use a bit of heat a hair dryer, or you can use a cup of hot water for the hands, dip in for 8 - 10 seconds and they should pop off/on quite easy. PS there's a brilliant First Blood John Rambo 1/6th scale figure by Threezero.
Yeah, I normally use the heat for the Neca figures - although that hasn't actually helped with a couple of them whose joints just refused to soften. This one is actually far more malleable than I made it seem. Once the camera was off, I had no problems with his articulation, or changing his bits n bobs. Incidentally, my son has insisted that I DON'T weather the figure just yet - so I'll have to respect his wishes. For a while. 😉👍🥃🥃🥃
@@Kilt-ManChris Yes, the quality on a good 1/6th scale figure is miles above Neca, as good as Neca figures have gotten in recent times I found that with my Quint and Hooper figure. Plus the scale should be a bit easier to work with. You're son is 100% right 🤣 I heard you saying that about the frost weathering and I was thinking the same thing not to do it 😬 as it might destroy the material. There is means of weathering 1/6th scale material using dry brushing, but I think that's more to represent dirt on material rather than faux or leather lol

Awesome review! I too have the McFarlane The Thing (Blair Monster) and many things have broken off of mine as well. I hadn't bothered to try and fix it, just stuck it in a box with some of my other McFarlane Movie Maniacs. A project for the far future and then I think the damn thing should go in a protective glass or plastic shadowbox or something.
It's far better in real life. The articulation is actually very good. He CAN grip shotgun & flamethrower with both hands without too much trouble. And, weathered-up, he'll be outstanding in a display. Hope yours comes through soon. 👍👍👍🥃🥃🥃

The likeness is pretty good kilty. I have probably over a 100 1/6 figures from different movies and tv series. Some of which are custom made by people and myself. Ooak figures. Likeness is a top thing in the 1/6 figure community. I personally think Mac looks good! Mac wants the flame thrower... Mac wants what? 😅😂

@@Kilt-ManChris 1/6 figures usually are well articulated. I'm suprised it never came with a hat! If you can get one it would have to be made of cloth material. If it's plastic it will make his head look huge due to the hair style. If it's placed in his hand as an accessory it will look pretty good. I have seen figures with hats but generally they're part of the head sculpt or the top of the head is sliced off so the hat sits flush on too. Usually that's a custom way of doing it. In my opinion you're probably better off leaving it as is because it's not a cheap figure.👍😊
Great video! I like the fact you review him with regular lighting, because too many of the other reviews have bright front lighting which washes out all the facial details. Here I can see the sculpt and paint apps with shadows you would have at home. It looks like a great figure. I'm annoyed I missed out on the monster extras and honestly don't understand why they had a "timed" release given the price difference was under $40. I don't see the financial advantage gained by that. If anything, Mondo lost revenue by not just making all of them that way. Very strange. But great video! Thanks for sharing.

I was thinking thats the best Kris Kristofferson figure I’ve ever seen! 😂 no but seriously it’s certainly as good as it gets for Kurt, I’ve got a fair few 1/6 figures and I’m almost always disappointed that the promo & box shots never quite match up to the actual figure until you start getting them posed and actually standing like a human being. I’d definitely weather that jacket up a little though and maybe even the pants, shame about the crappy base stand but it’s a perfect candidate for a diorama anyway. Overall it looks like an awesome figure kilty and thank god nothing snapped during the video! Was watching with slightly gritted teeth when you were swapping the bits 🤣.

Great to have you here! Well, there are a LOT of good companies supplying Hot Toys, Sideshow etc, including Amazon. Your best bet is really just doing a search for what you want and price-matching. I've really only got a few and they all came from the company themselves on Day 1 of preorder. Most of my figures are Neca, or similar and come from literally all sorts of places.
