Kumihimo starter kit: If you are a beginner in kumihimo, I have a starter kit available. It is a great way to get started as it has everything you need to make several pieces and get you going on your kumihimo journey. csldesignsshop.com/products/kumihimo-starter-kit
I really enjoyed watching, I live in assisted living. I am going to try to teach this to a group here, we need things to fight boredom. So wish me luck . I will need to get the place to buy the supplies.
Thank you so much Christina ...I have watched a few videos trying to learn this....and you are the only one that has been easy to understand...Thank you so much.....you are simply the best:)
I would like to say THANK YOU VERY MUCH, Your video was super clear as were the instructions. Sometimes I find when trying to learn something new people go way to fast and dont give all the directions. You spoke and explained just at the right pace. I would have loved to see what you were using on back. But maybe that's on one of your other pages? I will look. Thanks again!!!
I'm doing one in red, Russia, pink and white, mostly because that's as close as I could get to graduated colors from my local stores. But it looks like a perfect braid for Valentine's Day. I'll add a little heart charm to the clasp.
Fwiw if you do not have one already: I found that working on a standard wooden marudai becomes faster with practice. And one of the Jacqui Carey books shows you how to make designs/pick colors. I pretty much have stayed with basic braids.
I love it when they are simple patterns. You will have to show how to finish it . Do you burn and or glue without the knot and put a ibbonbracelet end or do you put a cap on the en? love the ccolors too dee
Su trabajo es muy bonito pero quisiera pedirle por fabor q explique o muestre como hizo ese nudo para empezar y le coloque en centimetros el largo de las cuerdas muchas gracias
Thank you for this x Can I ask a question ? Whenever I do a flat braid it always comes out wiggly ! I try to keep the tension the same but I just don’t get consistent results and help please xxxx
Laura Sheffield there is a lady on here doing videos tutorials under I think Pruehimo, her name is Prue and she talks about and shows how to stop this happening, she’s got 2 videos on the square plate, hope this helps 🙂
I've got a question, can you also use a rond one or does it really make a difference if you use a square one? I've got a round one but can't find the square ones anywhere in stores...
+Anise Aarden Technically you can use either disk for any braid, but it is just much easier doing certain ones on specific disks and less confusing when making the braid. Have you had a look online?
Your video is fantastic and has helped me enormously but I clicked 'dislike' by mistake. So sorry. I have clicked 'like' in the past because I can now make bracelets thanks to you and I'm 80+. Bless you..
+Ioana Maria It really depends. I'm sure they do for some people, but it is more meant as a basic tutorial where people can then build on the technique. That's the good thing about knowing many basic techniques. You then have the option to experiment with them/combine them/come up with new designs based on them :-)
I love this design. Instead of a piece of jewelry i used paracord and made a three colored dog leash. For the handle I stopped the center crossing till the handle was as long as I needed it then crossed again to finish off. It turned out great. Now I am finishing off a dog collar to match. I have also started another leash with a different color placement with four colors. Thank you very much for all your videos.

Hello
I was wondering if i want to make it 130cm long how long should i cut the threads?
Will this work with a circle disk?
I've got a question, can you also use a rond one or does it really make a difference if you use a square one? I've got a round one but can't find the square ones anywhere in stores...
+Anise Aarden Technically you can use either disk for any braid, but it is just much easier doing certain ones on specific disks and less confusing when making the braid. Have you had a look online?
Anise Aarden Amazon sells them, even sets with all 3 different plates. Happy hunting. Oh, and they're very inexpensive. Hope that helps
Fabulosos
Can you bead with flat Kumihimo?
how wide does the finished braid come out?

Hola. Me encantan tus videos, pero en la partenque haces el nudo me pierdo, podria subtitularlo???? Gracias
+Eva yo Thank you very much. Unfortunately I am not able to make subtitles :-)

Oh I've never done a square one and 3 moves in my head just popped.
do these actually sell?

So you had 8 chords and ended up with 16?? How?? Skipped a step?
She probably folded them
How about you use the numbers and letters next time?
I love this design. Instead of a piece of jewelry i used paracord and made a three colored dog leash.
