    You will want to measure by volume not weight.
    Nitrogen: 2 parts of cottonseed meal, feather meal, blood meal, bat guano, fish meal, or soybean meal.
    Phosphorus: 1 part bone meal, soft rock phosphate or crab shell meal
    Potassium: 1 part greensand, wood ashes, or sulfate of potash ( Sul-Po-Mag)
    Calcium: 1 part calcium carbonate (limestone) or dolomite (dolomitic limestone)
    Micronutrients and the rest of the macronutrients will be found in kelp meal: ½ part kelp meal

    Love the dog marching back and forth in the background of your video. All we can see is the tip of his tail makes me think of a submarine

    I had to dig up all my strawberry plants. Reasons:
    1: Mixed in some chopped up fall leaves into that soil plus some soil sulfur, Azomite, Bone meal.
    2) Raised bed was low on soil.
    3) Had to separate and re-space the plants.
    When the time comes I will use Alaska Fish Fertilizer,
    Won't mulch for a while yet.
    Extra strawberry plants I planted elsewhere on the property,
    I bought some box store strawberry roots to use in grow bags within a kiddie pool (have far too many pill bugs eating everything in sight).
    Haven't mixed that soil yet. Have to wait unfortunately.
    Note: On potted plants soil, I cook that soil to 204F to kill off bugs, eggs, and pathogens. I use the same mixing in that soil as I did above.
    I really DO cook the soil....

    Is there additional info in your e-course for strawberries or is all the info in the 8 strawberry videos in the playlist?

      The ecourse has TONS more information than the 8 you tube videos.

    The past several years you encouraged us to use “Happy Frog: Fruit and Flower” you now prefer this fertilizer?
    Question #2; in tomato fertilizer ,your recipe is similar to this,but for the nitrogen you recommend fish meal or bat dodo BUT NOT the Bone meal? Wonderful why the switch?

    • @TheLivingFarmPaonia
      @TheLivingFarmPaonia  Місяць тому

      Hi Linda, We have people all over the world watching and they don't have access to Happy Frog products. So I needed a recipe for those out of the Happy Frog area. I do still like the happy frog Fruit and Flower Fertilizer.
      Fish Meal and bat guano have a little bit more nitrogen then the bone meal.

    Could we use 3 parts bone meal for the first 2 ingredients?

    Mam why my strawberries are totally white inside...it smells good but it's tasteless and very mashy!

    • @TheLivingFarmPaonia
      @TheLivingFarmPaonia  23 дні тому

      The plants probably need more nutrients. Calcium helps the berry to not be mushy. Trace minerals create the flavors.
