Very good information from the people who inspired me to get into junk removal. You guy are my absolute favorite UA-camr. Your videos are full of value from start to finish.
So blessed to stumble across your videos. You guys are a huge blessing to so many. Im getting ready to pull the trigger to start my junk removal side hustle here in NJ. Wish me luck.
the summer was gooooood but with back to school stuff has slowed down around here for me at least. I needed this video to remind me to keep handing out that Business card and to re order some more yard signs.
Truck question...... Are your Tundras 4x4 or 4x2? I hear the 4x2's have higher tow ratings? Thanks, Just discovered you both. Im retiring from Public Sector garbage collection, and want to start my own hauling, clean outs. Cant wait. Thank you for your informative videos.
My business is in Cleveland Ohio I just did all these things that you mentioned in the video and they brought me absolutely no business Google ads is the biggest waste of money ever
Question on your business insurance through NEXT Insurance. I know you said in a previous video about 2 years ago that the insurance is under Cleaning service, so on their website it’s not specifically showing cleaning service so is there something worse is would be classified as?
Great video and content. The issue I'm having is pricing on jobs either pricing too high where I lose the customer or too low just to get customers. Any recommendations. Thank you
Probably a dumb question but do you have to have a business license to post you’re business on Facebook? I have a domain and website but not my business license yet.
No you don’t, but it’s very easy and inexpensive to get one and you will need one. It’s a great selling point to say that you are licensed, so go get that business license.
I did our website through godaddy, it was pretty straight forward and not that complicated to do. If you need a website done for you contact Jade @ designsbyjade.tech
Home Advisor/Angi call me monthly. I gently remind them that all they do is outrank local service companies and then sell them leads. I outrank them so I offer to sell them leads, they hang up every time.
This video talks about them all, the most important thing to do is have a google my business, then Facebook gets us out there too. But really if your going to do this business or any business you want to do everything we say to do, it takes hard work and dedication to go after dreams and goals and make them come true. When you work for yourself give it your all.
11:47 I use Thumbtack, will never use Angie's Leads/Home Advisor(they're the same now). Thumbtack is sometimes *Okay*, though, organic leads are INFINITELY higher quality.
That depends on you, do you have assets? Houses etc, what do you own. If you start this business and don’t have anything for example you live in an apt then you can start as a sole proprietor then later become an LLC The best thing to do is talk to a CPA they can point you in the direction you should go
Yo Matt and Jojo! I'm inspired to start my own junk removal here in Sacramento. I still need to go through the process of getting licensed which I know can take a few weeks. Would mid to late summer be a bad time to start?
@@SonomaStrong thank you for responding, I sure didn't know it was free I always hear people talking about how hard it is to get on Google and how much money it is
How to price junk removal is one of the hardest parts of the job. This will depend on where you live and how much your dump fees costs. We don’t have one set price because there are so many variables to consider, for example what is it, construction debris will cost more because it’s heavy, also how far away is the job if it’s far you would charge more for gas, also can you pull right up to the pile or do you have to walk far, maybe there are flights of stairs that make the job more difficult or a nasty hoarder job these are all factors that would add money to your full load price. This video will help you. ua-cam.com/video/FcLr6DjiGTM/v-deo.html
Wait you guys dont have a scrap yard to take metal to and get paid for it? Thats what got me into this a long time ago and its still worth it to cut vacuum cords and cords off every thing and put them all in a tote till its full and it brings about a hundred bucks. I cant believe yall get nothing for it and are just glad not to pay to get rid of it.
@SonomaStrong we have a junk truck and college hunks in the area. I'm hoping it works out. 1 day in and I connected with a contractor who does sheetrock and roofing. First job lined up for tomorrow 🙌 said he has jobs weekly
Please be yourself when doing videos. Don’t do this persona. It really comes out as non genuine. My family and I watch your videos every week. My boy Timmy looks up to you so much he now started picking up dog crap around the neighborhood for 25 cents per poop.
I am just starting out with my business ME:JunkRemoval service here in Las Vegas. I really have to say just in the few hours I've been skimming through you guys channel has gave me a clearer outlook on how to operate my business. I will definitely be a baller member I see I can learn a lot with one on one zoom meetings with both of you. I have a few questions about setting my Google account up if I may ask what categories should I put my Business in junk hauling is not an option?
Man you guys are phuqcryingoutloud awesome(see how I slipped that in...lol) man thanks for the quick reply I truly cant wait to become a baller member. I know I can learn a lot from you both thanks again @@SonomaStrong
Well so I started a page for my Home Improvement business, however the geniuses at nextdoor kept advertising it as a Dental business for some reason. I've asked over and over to get that fixed. nexdoor just kept sending e-mails that they fixed the problem...while at the same time sending me e-mails to promote my "Dental business" Anyways 3 months went by and they never NEVER fixed the problem. Nextdoor is a piece of garbage app ran by flunkie losers....Sorry it is great app if you want to hear people complain about dog poop.
Brother and sista i respect how yall handle your business. The gems that you drop. I thank you two tremendously.
Thanks for the great comment

the options may be different now, try garbage service that may work
Great content
Thank you
For the Facebook groups you post in is it buy sell trade groups? Or what type of group is best to post in
Yes, buy sell trade
Craigslist only works if you're in a big city. Most people don't use it anymore.
Great funny content, keep up the good work ✌️

How do u add people to your business facebook page
You have to invite them from your personal page
how much was that first job
I was wondering the same thing $2112 and I believe they did 4 jobs. That means it would be $528 a job?

everything is more expensive
Let me run a crew in Ohio for u. U find all the leads I use my equipment split 50/50
do you think junk removal is worth doing in an area with a Population of around 100k?
That would be tough, is there competition? It would work as a side hustle for extra cash after work or weekends
@SonomaStrong we have a junk truck and college hunks in the area. I'm hoping it works out. 1 day in and I connected with a contractor who does sheetrock and roofing. First job lined up for tomorrow 🙌 said he has jobs weekly
Do people really still use craigslist to find you guys? Im surprised
Yes, Craigslist is used where we live
