Sydney is the state capital of New South Wales and the most populous city in Australia and Oceania. Located on Australia's east coast, the metropolis surrounds Port Jackson and extends about 70 km (43.5 mi) on its periphery towards the Blue Mountains to the west, Hawkesbury to the north, the Royal National Park to the south and Macarthur to the south-west. Sydney is made up of 658 suburbs, 40 local government areas and 15 contiguous regions. Residents of the city are known as "Sydneysiders". As of June 2019, Sydney's estimated metropolitan population was 5,312,163 meaning the city is home to approximately 65% of the state's population.
Wynyard railway station is a heritage-listed underground commuter rail station located in the north-west precinct of the Sydney central business district, in New South Wales, Australia. The station opened on 28 February 1932 to coincide with the opening of the Sydney Harbour Bridge.
The Rocks is an urban locality, tourist precinct and historic area of Sydney's city centre, in the state of New South Wales, Australia. It is located on the southern shore of Sydney Harbour, immediately north-west of the Sydney central business district.

Thanks for another awesome video. This is very familiar..took the train to Wynyard for 13 years while working in CBD. I miss a lot of things but the public transport is not one of them..crowded and late most of the time, I hope that things have improved since I left in 2009. Cant wait to return after 12 years. Fingers crossed, in Dacember :-)

I used to go to work through Wynyard station back in 1987. How it has changed! I recognize literally nothing Here. They used to have corrugated aluminium clad trains and the old 1939 ‘red rattlers’. I remember the station master changing the old dark blue wooden directory signs with a long hook. All manually. Anyways. Thank you for the update. Long living in Canada now. 👍🏻

Sydney has changed in a more rapid pace in recent years. And this trend will continue.
Suddenly, wave of nostalgia coming at me. Wynyard looks so different now. I barely recognize anything here. And Sydney looks much cleaner

Oh yeah, I remember that smell too, and rush of wind as trains pushed the wind up the tunnel. I was always concerned though about inhaling asbestos from the train’s brake pads. It couldn’t have been healthy. 🤔

I love watching these videos; have commented on these before. Stayed at the AMORA on Jameson a little over a year ago for a week and walked down this route a few times in my stay. Brings back nothing but good memories. Cheers for putting these videos up. Keeps humours going in difficult times. Will def get back there at some stage in the future

The Rocks used to have the Argyle Art Centre which had great shops with art and hand made things, later they got rid of that, not the same anymore.
I remember that. The markets are fantastic though these days.

Wynyard Train entrance from George street must be new,it was totaly different in 2012,also I noticed many new buildings along the way,this city is changing everyday.
Harry .. I was in the City today for the 1st time in 8 months and the Wynard Station opening up to George Street is absolutely gorgeous compared to the dank drudgery it used to be. World Class ..

Hiya James! international tourists will have to wait almost a year as AU is unlikely to re-open its international borders until the latter part of 2021. But reading "Sydney Mornig Harald" and watching "9News" I think that int. travel is unlikely to return to normal until 2024, it's still a very long while away!! Australia,especially Sydney, has done a great job to control the spread of covid. We almost avoided the pandemic in some way. cases are so few, no need masks most of the time
