That's what society does, people get all offended about things they don't understand. Great song and performed beautifully as usual. Natalie and a piano doesn't get any better than that.

Just like Natalie Merchant said about the radio stations would refuse to play this song, and afew radio stations in my area did play the song on radio and there where alot of people protesting that this song should not be played on the airwaves!! I'm a huge fan of Natalie Merchant and I'm really glad that she's playing it in her concerts and now people go crazy for this song when they hear it and its the most requested song on all radio stations? She even got a Grammy Award for this song, so keep on singing it Natalie and I love all your songs that you have and I always wanted a baby girl and I finally got one and the hospital played it on the intercom and sometimes they play ' Twinkle Little Star ' too!!

I wish she still performed at the piano during her concerts. This is wonderful. And she still is wonderful to this day.

I taped taped on VHS back in the day ...the show had a John hyatt song that I nicked and when i played it to my mates pretended i wrote it lol....This is Pre Internet Great britain and you could get away with that with people who thought music started and stopped with Queen and Kylie....But that said there was always someone " with a big nose ...who knows and who will trip you up and laugh when you fall" eh Morrissey....
