Hey mate 👋 cheers for watching! Haha yes the boat ramps sure are going to be madness, I’ll just have to get there stupid early to beat any crowds 😅 mate I keep hearing how this is going to be a crazy good mac season with these warmer waters we are getting, bring on a metro mac, very high on the wish list!!
Another awesome video mate, the effort you put in really comes through. Fishing looked epic and the cook up was great too. Always look forward to your videos, keep up the fantastic work!
Thanks so much bud, truly appreciate it, I’m so glad I got into a few and I was able to put a swan river flatty video together. Glad you enjoyed it and I’m really looking forward to hitting the river again for some crabs or with the light lures again 🐟👍🏻✅🎣
Nice one. I think flattys will smash anything that moves and is bite size. 20years ago i used to target them in the swan. A maribou jig was the gun, just a jig head with fluffy white feathers. Also a little brown trout halco lure was great too. 50cm flatty was a good one.
Flattys certainly are a very aggressive fish ae, I had never targeted them before but this really was great fun!! Would love to get a big 50cm one out of the swan I’ll definitely be having another crack at these fish for sure! The bloke I was with down the river was getting them on a fluffy jig head. Very fun fisg. Cheers for watching bud ✅🐟🎣🍺
Awesome vid man👌, flatties are definitely a fun fish to target, fight hard in summer and taste so good 🤤. Good stuff hopefully the big 50+ swims along nexttime🙏🏽🎣
Cheers bro! Really appreciate it coming from you 👊🏼 I had a lot of fun chasing the flattys as ya can prob tell in the video, next time I’m going to nail that big 50cm swan flatty 😅🎣✅
@@rush.gang.fishing Haha cheers bro, yea man definitely a fun style of fishing, tbh a chunky 42 is a rly good fish especially for your first go, plenty of good fishos that have fished the flats for years for them are yet to even get a 50 so anything in the 40's is always a solid fish👌, most big girls I find are in the high 40's with a sprinkle in the low 50's every now and then, they ain't no Duskies in size that's for sure haha but still cool fish in their own right 🙌🏽.
This is going to happen! One of the boys at work just got his tinny running so going to take that for a burn in the swan to Hopefully get some crabs this week 🦀 also as it really warms up I’ll def be getting my kids down there for some crabs
Hey mate 👋 thanks so much! This was Saturday morning just been, I actually think it was dead low tide at sunrise ( to be honest I have no experience fishing the river so didn’t even bother checking tides haha 😂) thanks for watching 🍺
Hey mate thanks for watching!! Bugger, that’s fishing though ya can’t catch every time. To be honest I’m a novice when it comes to river fishing, my only tips would be, incoming tide, sunrise and make sure you are using the right size lures/leader for the fish you are targeting ✅👍🏻
As tasty as they are I hate those flappy sharp stabby buggers. 😂 Never seem to be able to deal with them without at least one spike/slash. How are the cuts going now, 4 days later? Always seem slow to heal for some reason to.
Hahaha yes they seem to hammer me every time I touch one haha 😂 one of the little cuts I got is pretty well healed the other is healing very slow & still tender as 😅 worth it though they where delicious & was really fun trying a different style of fishing. This light lure stuff certainly is fun 🎣👍🏻
Squidtrex doing the damage! Was a great session - Thanks again for the invite.
Squidtrex very cool little lure!! Awesome to finally get out for a fish with you. Will have to come out for a snapper on the boat next ✅🐟👍🏻
Wicked little flattie session Jack🤙🤙
Cheers bro 😎 I certainly had fun on the flattys ✅✅🎣

When you got your first one I was thinking you were braving holding it so close to the spikes. Then next minute...
Hahaha yes didn’t learn my lesson either haha 😂 god damn they are a sharp fish ae, worth it though 😅🎣🐟

Should take your boat out soon and target some crabs. If you're son has his fishing licence you can catch 10 big blue mannas 🤘

Yep they are hard to beat - sic Flatty
Fun fish for sure!! Counting down the days till we are allowed back into the big dogs though 😀😎🎣👍🏻
Well done mate
Thanks man! Appreciate it. Went rather well for my first proper crack at the swan 👍🏻🎣🐟
@@rush.gang.fishing good stuff I'm guessing demersal still closed down that ways
Yes they are haha dying to get back into the snapper!! Next weekend it’s game on 🐟✅😀🎣

Just wait till you find some hungry 40+ tailor, or better yet a rogue giant herring 😉😉🥳
The giant herring is very high up on wish list haha 😆 ✅
hey mate where is this
Hey mate 👋 thanks for watching! swan river near the point Walter area but I believe ya have more luck with the swan flattys in summer 🎣✅
where did you go in this vid
Hey mate 👋 this was lower swan river Perth. Walking the shallow sand flats can be very productive this time of year with little lures 👍🏻✅
Get yourself some spare assist hooks, the flatties raspy teeth wear through the cord real quick on a good session 🤙🏼
Cheers bud I sure will ✅ thanks for watching mate appreciate it 👊🏼👊🏼🐟
Jack power fish
Hahaha the 3m flattys where busting up 😂🐕🐟
@@rush.gang.fishing catch and f$&K
Hahaha 🤣
