Cheers mate! Just did it & got it done under 12 hours (started with watching your video at 6:30 pm yesterday ,finished applying by 7:45 pm and got an email at 7:am today ). Note that you CAN apply with pending (doesn't have to be through AMZ accelerator) status . Was easy in the end, thanks to your two videos. Now onto your Vine video ! :-)

Hi Luca, great video. Does the website address that you give to Amazon have to have your brand name in it? My product website leads with the product name (asin name) and not the brand name.

To use a brand name when creating a new product listing, the brand either needs to be 'brand approved' or 'brand registered'. If you do not have brand approval and are waiting for your brand registry application to be accepted, then yes you will need to wait until it is accepted before you can create the listing using the brand name.

Hi Luca, thanks for uploading such an easy to follow video, can I source just 1 product that has my trademarked name attached to it for the brand registry application and then list unbranded products under that brand name or will I have to provide images of each new product showing the trademark going forward?
Yes you can do that if you want to! Amazon will not ask for new images for each listing

I just had brand registered in uk and made professional account on amazon and now will start selling on amazon. I have ordered big quantity of product from china with logo on it but i haven’t sold anything yet on amazon so should i enroll brand on amazon brand registry when i will receive products or i can enroll now? because I don’t have any asin yet. So please guide me about this if you can. Thanks
My application is not accepted it says the fraudulent activity and the account health is at risk, do I need to wait until account health is clean or is there any way I can get enrolled.
Thanks for the video! One thing that is not clear to me is, should the trademark be registered under my personal name or company's name to avoid problems with Amazon?
It can be registered under either, both should work. That said, sometimes Amazon doesn't accept the trademark and in those situations, you need to make sure your company is set as the trademark's 'representative'. That will solve the issue in most cases.
Hello, I have trademarked my brand name and applied for the Amazon brand registry. However it was declined because they “could not locate any contact information that meets our requirements”.

Yep you can, as long as you are already using that brand name on your existing listing. If you’re not, it hard to change the brand name on an existing listing

Hi Luca , I loved the video . I needed to know that I just created my new amazon centeral acc and my trade mark application is pending. I am able to go through the entire brand registeration process in amazon but in the end they ask for a agreement with the supplier of the product and invoices with the supplier in the last 6 months

Hi Luca, I appreciate your video. How do certain sellers sell their product under a brand name, but when you get their actual product, it doesn't have any brand name at all physically affixed to it?
They probably get their factory to create a single branded sample which they use for brand approval / registry. Then bulk order unbranded products

If your manufacturer can send you images of a sample unit with branding, that will work fine!
Hi Lucas, I have seen you trademark registration video, I have followed every single step, and it’s help me a lot. I have got email from IPO saying that everything meet the requirements and I have paid the remaining fee etc. now can I do Amazon brand registration while I’m waiting for trademark registration to be completed?
You have historically always had to wait until the trademark registration is complete before applying for brand registry, unless you have used Amazons accelerator program. That said, it only takes 5 minutes to apply so it may be worth a go to see if anything has changed recently.

Hi Luca! Great videos can you please confirm if we can register for brand registry with a pending application? I.e it’s been accepted but will be in publication for 2 months? (UK)?
If you've registered the TM yourself, then no you can't apply for brand registry until the TM is fully registered. If you use Amazon IP accelerator program, you can register for brand registry straight away. That said, I have heard of some peoples brand registry applications still being accepted with a pending TM, so I would always recommend giving it a go. Worth a try even if it's unlikely to be accepted.

No import license needed but you do need an EORI number

Hi again, when registering brand with Amazon, can you create a white label with your brand name on the product with barcode etc and simply stick it on or does Amazon require you to ‘must have this proper printed/engraved on the actual plastic packaging. Thanks
You need to supply Amazon with images of the product / product packaging and according to their TOS, the brand name must be 'permanently affixed' to the product / packaging, therefore labels are not accepted.
@@LucaDavenport Regarding having the logo 'permanently affixed', are there any exceptions for very small goods? My products are tiny adapters and wires, and the branding is on the outside of the packaging (that you would end up throwing away). Any advise would be greatly appreciated.

Amazon state that you have to wait until it is approved but some of my students have been accepted even when it's in the pending stage so it's worth a try!
Hi Luca, very good video for UK FBAs. I filled my application for brand registry, but amazon are saying the waiting time is approximately 45 days for updates because of alot of applications being in the system. Does this sound silly or legit?
I have heard of it taking up to two weeks, however 45 days sounds like a very long time! They must be super busy + understaffed at the moment. Hopefully it doesn't take that long
@@LucaDavenport yup guess so! Well I think its because my account was going through verification (fyi I sign-up to amazon seller on Friday) and I`d registered for brand registry which amazon say I shouldn't have.

No they won't get it through quicker. What you can do is use Amazon IP accelerator program. It won't get it through quicker but it will allow you to apply for brand registry while it is pending.
Hi Luca, our trademark was a figurative trade mark, we have the brand name as 'Brand Name' but our trademark shows as figurative as 'Xxx Brand Name' where the xxx is the abbreviated brand name(as this is our logo).
I want to list the brand as the brand name, not the 'logo' name, would I be able to do this?

Unfortunately unless you have your brand name 'permanently affixed' to your product or product packaging, no they normally will not accept your brand registry application.

Hello, How is the procedure to add a brand that owner is someone else and they give you a letter that approves you to be added to Amazon
From my understanding, they have to apply for Amazon brand registry themselves and then invite you into the organisation / give you access to their brand registry account.
Luca or anyone can you help at all? I have only 1 FBA product been selling it on Amazon UK for around 5 years. Decided to trademark brand name and go for brand registry. Got rejected straight away. Issue they say is "We have taken this decision as we have identified that your account has either been involved in abusive conduct on our website or you are related to an account that was used for such abusive conduct. Amazon reserves the right to decline applications in such cases. An unhealthy selling account could be one of the many reasons why your application was rejected. If your selling account is currently deactivated, you may appeal an action taken on your selling account by clicking the “Reactivate your account” button".
I have never had any issues with my account payment info etc is always up to date and no product issues either (same product 5 years). Any help appreciated

Unfortunately I see this happen all the time! Unless the logo on your product EXACTLY matches the logo that is trademarked, Amazon will reject your application. Unfortunately, it's always best to stick to a word mark.
Hi Luca. Just listing my first product and don’t want to apply for brand registry right now, but a amazon listing is asking me for a brand name: what should I put down? The name of my product?

No unfortunately you can’t change it ones you set the brand name. You can either set it as ‘Generic’ or as a brand name but to set it as a brand name, you need ‘brand approval’ or ‘brand registry’ on Amazon beforehand. I would get brand approval for now and then apply for brand registry once you have a registered trademark
Hey after i complete the brand registry application i got a email saying thank you for your interest in brand registry we provided a code to the agency that you file your trademark with you need to reach out to them and get the code we sent . So i did an i got them to send the code so now what do i do with the code? My application still says pending
If you email brand registry support the code, your application should then go through.

Hi Ali, you can use any font you like and can make a design out of the text, however just bear in mind that the more abstract it is / the less it clearly looks like the letters HTX, the less likely Seller Support are to approve your brand name.

My application has been rejected 5 times now, despite all information being provided ( I have trade mark registration number as well, I am a new seller ). emails I receive from them very general, not providing with any information about what could be wrong. Do you have any ideas what could be the reason for rejection please.

Hey Diana, so one of the biggest issues I normally see when it comes to brand registry applications is the name that the trademark is registered under. The trademark must be registered under your name. If it is and it is still being rejected, you need to add your business as the trademark 'representative' with the IPO then re apply with Amazon.

Hey Emma, if you've registered a design mark, then your logo on your product / product packaging must EXACTLY match the design mark you have filed. If it doesn't, Amazon will reject it. That is why I always recommend that people apply for a word mark instead, as it avoids this issue with Amazon.

Hey, so it means that your Seller Central account isn't fully verified and that you need to complete the verification process first before you apply for brand registry.
How do you register 2 trademarks on the same brand registry application? Trademarks are for the name of my company and the logo
I don't believe you can or need to. Just need to register the trademark for your brand name / logo, not your company name. If you want to do both, you can do them as two separate applications / brands.
