My goodness, that was fantastic. The imagination to orchestrate something like that is awesome. Subscribed, looking forward to future productions. Hopefully I can learn a thing or two.
Thanks very much for the nice comment. Yep, that was a bit of a unique one, but was a lot of fun. Hoping to have some fun intro next year - there is some IOUs from this year :)
That was awesome!!! I got a little giggle... but you are right about how OVERUSED that whole soundtrack is in the pyro community. I can think of like, 3 or 4 other songs too. boom boom boom...
Thanks. ...... IF you like LIne Rockets - you'll probably dig these two, too: Some club action: ua-cam.com/video/Yx9dqcSXmso/v-deo.html The setup used for this rocket: ua-cam.com/video/Wj50XJ8Wf2c/v-deo.html
Thanks for the comment. The "cannons" up front are a mix of ebay "spray the fire" and the one front and center is a Moka SFX unit. The gas mine at the end was a welded 4" tube. Here is a video with some details on the ebay units: ua-cam.com/video/ClJKKvBQBoA/v-deo.html I hope that helps.
fireTEK pyro, DMX, and music. This year I the music was played by the new Music Sync Box that was directly connected to the mixer and networked on the wireless mesh network to the controller.
Yes! I love this. I agree it's so overused and I refuse to do it. Not to mention spirit of 76 already killed it at pgi with their rendition of the soundtrack. I did do 'this is me' in my latest pyromusical because it was my sister's bday and she's been persistent that I do something from it. Also, was that a smoke effect with the strobe at the end or was that smoke from the fireball. Flames or strobes in front of smoke in an idea I had a while back that I hadn't seen anyone do but hadn't had a chance to try myself. Looked really good.
Hey, thanks for the nice comments. Without a doubt there is some good music for pyro from the movie - it's just so overdone. Yeah, my wife and daughter pushed and pushed for this song, again. So they got it 😁. There was no smoke effect - it was smoke from the prior effects and strobes put out A LOT OF SMOKE. So do flames. But what you picked up on was intentional. I put the strobe behind something so it is not flashing at the audience but rather lighting up the smoke in the sky. Here is a show from a prior year where the smoke and strobes turned out really good - IMO. I used some flames to build up smoke before hand and had luck with the wind. ua-cam.com/video/SC3jUvWovoM/v-deo.html

Fantastic! Great production, timing, humor. I love doing those kinds of surprises for family and friends also.
Thank you for taking time to comment. I'm just glad I was able to pull it off.
This is amazing!
Thanks - glad you enjoyed it!!!!
Awesome
Thanks "JP"
Great work!! Great humor too!
Thanks - it was fun - and weird to hear your own voice on the soundtrack.

Thanks!!! Maybe next year we do a similar mix-up of all of "those" songs.
Line rocket. Nice!

Did you build the fire cannons yourself or did you purchase them? They looked fabulous!!!! Especially the low one to the ground

I haven’t laughed that hard in a long time!! Love the humor
She had no clue - it was tough to keep it a secret when doing sound checks and all. I just kept assuring her that we were starting with her choice.
What system did you use.
