The 200 pushups one is accurate. Most ppl don't do it properly enough to actually build muscle. It should be slow so that over time your body starts to look like it does pushups
@@Narasthenics If you don't do the pushups correct way, i.e., going full down to touch your chest and going full up till your elbows are straight, then try them and you are gonna find out the number of pushups decreased by 50% of the figure (number) that you had in your mind
If you enjoy bodyweight training then maybe you should become a calisthenics athlete. You'll build muscle no matter what kind of training you do if you stay consistent
@@thequickwit8174 Thanks, you can build up to that with any full range squat or leg extension progression, bodyweight or weighted, just listen to your knees and don't train to the point where you get uncomfortable sensations in the joints, only muscle burn or soreness are fine.
i hesitate to get into calisthenics that seriously cuz it'd make me feel like i wasted money on a gym membership just to do push ups and planks on the turf. Good thing the assisted pull up/dip machine alleviated some of that worry lol.
@@prointernetuser So I use my college gym and even though I train calisthenics, I still use the equipment there a lot. As there are no bars near me, the gym has bars that llow me to exercise. I also do weighted calisthenics, so I strap extra weight onto myself. Inaccessible without a gym. Also, for legs, I do use weights, so that helps too. I also use weights for shoulder work like lat raises and such, and I also do incline db press (hard to hit effectively in calisthenics). So yeah, its never a waste.
Jump squats. That’s all I need for my legs. If you don’t like it, you just haven’t come to appreciate slender thighs as what peak performance truly looks like.
I'm a calisthenics athlete and I use kettlebells for my legs. just bite the bullet and use weights for lower body guys, it's not hard and you won't look like a chicken leg idiot
