  • We just pulled out our custom 1939 Studebaker that we built on episode 1, season 1 of Bad Chad Customs. It started out as a 1939 Studebaker Commander and was chopped, channeled, sectioned, bagged, shaved, and widened. It hasn't been driven in over 3 years so we're trying to get all the bugs worked out. Chad, check you adjustment screws on the carb. It's running really rich. When you drove out, the exhaust was really black. I hope this helps.

Once a week “Drive time with Chad & Jolene”: I’d watch it! Y’all could devote 15-20 minutes of uncut footage and showcase a build. Use a two shot method to record the monologue and cruise-little or no editing should be required. Let’s go!

I was naïve enough that I believed the Buyers of Chad's Builds in the show actually bought the cars. It wasn't until I saw Chad's barn full of all the builds on this UA-cam Channel, some time ago, that I realized I'd been fooled. So much for "reality" TV on Velocity. Your bowl inlet needle valves are probably stuck open and dumping fuel in the intake, common when sitting for long time. Do the tap screwdriver handle on bowl housing trick and see if it clears up. Replace the plugs after. Or take it to someone to rebuild the carb. Love the car! Absolutely beautiful!!

Its a miracle its running on 3 year old gas. With the ethanol added it absorbs water which sinks to the bottom of the tank and corrodes up the fuel system as its the first thing that gets sucked up in the line. I used to have to clean my carbs out on a yearly basis to keep it running on this trash fuel. Beautiful car!

Very sweet car indeed, I love everything about it. You guys have great taste in a custom car build. This is my chioce of style as well. Low down and dirty! Would have liked to see you two take it for a spin, but maybe another time. Thank you for bringing it out and sharing with us. PS... with a little carb. work she'll run just fine.

Wow! What a beautiful car it is absolutely gorgeous! Royal respect a very nice name. I recognize the VW front trunk lid right away that you repurposed it for rear deck lid on this car. My son's really into air cool bugs. It has nice lines that goes with a nice lines on the car. Currently you're doing the Chevy and leaving it in bare metal. This came up as a suggested view and I thought wow . I figure when the snow starts flying around here freezing below zero temperatures and what have you I'll go back and catch up on some of your older episodes.

Thats one sharp looking car. Maybe should drain all the tanks while they are in storage. Might try putting dry gas on the fuel as well.
