Not Deb . I'm a real newbee to this pyro craft , I have experimented a little in the past but never to this extent . I hope to make a nice display for my family , but safety is my #1 priority ! I do read all the comments , and watch many videos on each project before I try ANY of this stuff . I go very small and very careful to start . You are a great inspiration for me THANK YOU !
Appreciate your pragmatic approach to things. It's refreshing to sometimes see the reality of fireworking as a hobby/business. Thanks for all your videos, I've enjoyed all that I have watched. I recognise that it takes some effort to produce them.
That is a very, very interesting spiking horse. I've never actually noticed on the Wolter site. It actually works EXACTLY the same as window blinds, which is really an genius idea.
just want to say to Bangkok Pyro, your video,s sent me down a path to cylinders. i love to create any thing in the sky that goes boom and has lot,s of color,s. don,t get me wrong, hemi,s are great to work with but the way you show use your creations and how you take lots of pride in your work has opened up a new field for me. i also take pride in my work and when i see my family and friends with their jaw,s on the ground, then i know i did my job well and SAFE. thanks for all the great info, the heavens await for more new creation,s.. i love making all of my canisters, it also saves me some money to put towards other great stuff. hey, beleiave it or not, i still have trouble making good black match like your homemade, THANKS AGAIN,
i,m sure they have grabed more eye,s and mind,s than just mine. i have been stuck to this screen for days soaking up all this great info. i went out and made my own spiking gig, just like your,s that rick made at, WOLTERS PYRO TOOLS. it works great, made a few 3inch shells today just to try it out. letting them dry awhile before i fire them, i,m already possitive, the break is going to be more impressive.don,t know if you heard about rick,s pace maker but his wife tells me he is going in the first of june to get it replaced. hopefully he will be back in the shop soon giving us more great tools to work with. oh, by the way, i found a co. in florida that still sales 70lb. VIRGIN CRAFT PAPER, heres the name and number if you need it.RIVERSIDE PAPER CO. INC. 1-305-722-0110, EXT.250, sales reps. name ,,,pamela pellerin. maybe this will help... thanks again
got a question for you , i watched your clip on filling flash powder on a spider shell i think it was, whats your flash mix made of,if thats not a private recipe of yours.
I't just 70/30 Perchlorate and Indian dark Aluminium John. I add about 15% rice hulls to it to bulk it up and make it easier to diaper mix. If you have no rice hulls you could use sawdust instead. Thanks for the kraft paper lead.
thanks for that info, i have a lb. of indian dark. i,ll try this on my next build, i have been using a simular mix but not with rice hulls.thanks, have a good and safe day
You did say 2 cups rice flour and 5 cups water? I just made that and I had to add about 2 more cups of water. It was about the consistency of mashed potatoes so I started adding more water. BTW, I love your videos.
Please can you tell me the reason that you spike fireworks I have searched online for answer but cannot find answer any where it obv does something does it disperse the blast evenly giving a look of symmetry in the air etc ?????
Could you tell me your Spolette mixture? I am trying to find a mix that builds a plug after it burns up, but till now i haven´t find anything reliable yet :/
builds a plug? not sure what you mean by that. The spollette mixture is just 75-15-10 milled B.P. An inch rammed hard into the tube should burn in approx 3 seconds

Thank you for your kind remarks John. I love cylinder shells and if my videos have helped others to become interested in making them I'm delighted.
