@@benistheproblem all of these products can also be used on virgin hair. The idea of “virgin hair” is only regarding whether it has been dyed. healthy virgin hair doesn't need lots of products. A simple wash, condition and if blow drying just a light leave in. Keep it simple. I use a light texture spray if I'm going to be curling my hair and want it to hold for a night out but most of the time just a simple leave in works fine. Try buying sample sizes of things till you find what you like.

Rather than scrunching product in, I take my hair in two sections, half over one shoulder, and kinda bend over a bit, and put my hair between my hands in like prayer hands and pull down the strands (pancaking the hair). That gives me maximum coverage per side. Then I repeat the other side. I hope this wasn't confusing...

I've loved a lot of Abbey's product recommendations but as she mentions, you do have to tweak her approach if your hair is not fine/oily like hers. My coarse (wavy) grey hair, requires heavier conditioning and heat protection to avoid drying it out, so I spray or pour the leave-in conditioner on my hands and (using praying hands method) slide down a section of wet hair (you don't want to towel dry textured hair). Using a smaller amount, yes, I then apply leave-in to the hair on top of my head because that section of grey hair is easily damaged by diffusing and by the sun's UV rays. I also gently comb or brush my hair afterwards to distribute the product. You can wait until after applying curl cream/gel too, since those products will give your hair even greater slip and be less likely to damage it by brushing. Lastly, I also use hair oil after my hair is diffused and dry. I LOVE her recommendation of B&B's Invisible Oil since it also offers UV protection. If you color your hair, UV rays fade vibrant colors and if you have grey hair, UV rays can turn it yellow (hard water too).

The last 1/3 of my hair and the ends never get oily. For the ends I use hair mask, conditioner and leave in conditioner. Because my hair gets tangled almost instantly.

I just started following Abbey and now I'm binge watching her videos 😄 so for Abbey and/or those of you who are here for longer - I have a question regarding after-washing haircare.
Is it OK to use some kind of leave-in spray as a part of a routine (for example, every night before bed or every morning before going out for work)? She did answer a question about oils, but I was wondering about using some kind of a spray as a daily hair care routine. Before blow drying I use the one my hairdresser uses in her hair salon (10 in 1, similar to the one from Revlon in red spray bottle), so it can but it doesn't have to be that particular one.
My hair - fine in structure, but thick overall, currently pretty healthy. I wash it once a week as it is not that oily in scalp, but I am reconsidering that decision due to some tips Abbey has provided on why it could be a bad idea (aka more prominent hair loss over time).
Why I would like to use something routinely is because of the harsh weather conditions in the winter where I live and as a way to nurture my hair while sleeping (like I do with my skin). I'm thinking of purchasing a satin/silk cap for sleeping and/or overnight curls, so let me know if it could be a good idea to prevent hair breakage during sleep.
    Thank you in advance ❤️

But my real question is: what other heat protection would you recommend to use on dry, color treated and wavy hair? I often do the blow out one day and the next day I go in with a straightener because my hair is frizzy and also I'm not very good at straightening them just with brush and hair drier.

I'd also love to hear your advice for how to best care for gray hair; for instance, should it be treated as if it is dry/damaged?
