The US Forces Deployed To Lithuania

- There seemed to be A LOT of interest in my video about the German brigade coming to Lithuania. It’s pretty big news - so I’m not TOO surprised. With this in mind, I thought it would also be interesting to look at the other soldiers stationed in Lithuania: The Americans. In fact, approximately every nine months, a new batch of American soldiers arrive in Lithuania to relieve the American units already posted here. The Americans are based in Pabrade, and are somewhat independent of the German-led NATO multinational battlegroup based over in Rukla.

You unexpectedly became the top military vlogger of Lithuania :)
There's a lot of interesting stuff happening with Lithuanian and other European countries' militaries due to Ukraine war which is forcing pretty much all European nations to significantly boost financing and industrial capacity to manufacture weapons, so I'm sure there will be plenty of interesting material for future videos. Thanks for your great effort and very interesting videos!
Good video. Also I like all your videos no matter the topic. I think they are perfect for having general idea about the county.
Totally agree!
year ago i was in reserve training for a few weeks and had a chance to communicate /chat and learn from US soldiers , very friendly and had a lot of knowledge to share . Still have a picture together :)
Great video
Proud of my lithuanian brothers and sisters, you know your military is excellent when allied forces have nothing but positive things to say about you
nice, thanks:)

When looking at Lithuania's Defense, there are 3 theaters to look at in the event of any invasion by russia: Air, Sea, and Ground.
For when it comes to both Air & Sea, it is clear that this is a pure NATO specialty in both the short (hours) and long (days & weeks ++) terms.
Now as far as the Ground Defense is concerned, things tend to get a little bit more "interesting".
Firstly, it is obvious that the International NATO troops located in Lithuania which you mentioned in your (excellent) video are the centerpiece to the country's Ground defense. But that's mainly politically and symbolic in terms of fire power. Simply because their numbers are minimal. In other words, because of their presence on the ground, the question for russia becomes: "Are we willing to attack NATO troops'?
Now that answer should (logically) a big "no" for the russians, what happens if the even of a "yeah / "Da""?
Then, it suddenly becomes clear that any short term (i.e. "Hours & Days"), all of the "Heavy Lifting" would be handled by the Polish Army.
Why?
Because PL has over 10,000+ troops South of the Suwałki Gap with fine Highways in-between... And the largest terrestrial ground forces in Europe...
Wait... a youtube comment with actual logic? Need to check my sight. On a serious note, you might be totally right. Unless that brigade shapes up. Even then - we might need help or well have to provide it. Because my next question is not presence but how long can we sustain in case of an attack? Are Europe's factories going full tilt yet? They should. At the moment for Ukraine at the very least.
@@lithuanian_guy Good points. Here, I will be quite blunt as an Armchair general:
- Within the next 2-3 years for Lithuania's Defense: The ground Defense of Lithuania only needs short-term (Hours & Days and Weeks) support from a Polish (+) Division style reinforcement. Following the 1st few days, NATO's Air Superiority would be such that any ru invasion would be nullified plain and simple. The ru MoD knows that very clearly by the way.
- By 2027 for Lithuanias, and to answer your question in regards to NATO's overall production, none of this will even matter anymore by then the EU's production capabilities will have reached their desired levels for when it comes to 155mm artillery rounds, drones and other consumables.
Nahhh, my 2 cents? ru will be looking at the Southern front like Moldova if (and onlyy if) their "Federation" does not crumbles in the next 3 years...
@@AirB-101 all of this is based on assumption that ruzzians will appear out of the thin air? Why wouldn't NATO allies send all the support before the ruzzian attack? Remember that they had a standing army on the Ukrainian border for months, what makes you think it would be different here?
@@Moliugas89 Super interesting comments and questions!
Thanks! But you see...
I'm smelling ru trolls here. Are you smelling the same? In fact, I STARTED smelling ru trolls right at the previous comment. And you?
My main question is this:
Your English makes you not from the "Bangalore factories" (their English wording is really easy to spot within 2 sentences).
So are you a pure st-pet student without $$ currently , with not much choise but to work for a Paid-by-the-day pro-ru troll center where they expect you to write pseudo intelligent replies yeah??
Question # 2: How many comments are you expected to write per day? 200?
@@lithuanian_guy Did you actually think for 1 second that I did not know that you were a troll?
In PL buddy, we smell guys like you even before you start writing.
How's that for Protection of Lithuania?
Very interesting!
👍
Waitting for videos on upcoming military exercises
Great video, though your voice sounds robotic, I guess you're using premiere AI enhance which does that.
Yup that’s exactly what I used 🙈
I... Think my home country of Portugal has some marines there? They've been there rotating for a couple years as far as I recall, but I don't know if it's a permanent thing now or not.
Small info after research - seems the Fuzileiros have been there and rotating for a few years. They just rotated last week, in fact, so there's fresh troops there.
@realhawaii5o thanks! Do you have a website/webpage you can share about this? I can do a video about it
@@LithuaniaExplainedThere's a few news articles on it and press releases by the Portuguese Navy (marinha.pt)
Just look up "Fuzileiros Lituânia" (a instead of â also works) on Google or UA-cam.
This force is distinguished by being one of the oldest still active special forces in the world... Like our army and navy are also the oldest armed forces in the world 😅😅
I live in Estonia nowadays, by the way, if you ever want to do any Estonia related content and need some contact there 😅
@@LithuaniaExplained not sure why the message vanished but there's a lot of stuff if you just Google/UA-cam search "Fuzileiros Lituânia". Including the "Marinha" website.
Inserting a link seems to be a problem for some reason.
That being said, a fun fact is that the Fuzileiros are one of the oldest special forces still active nowadays... Like our own navy and army that are the oldest armed forces still active (707 and 885 years old, respectively).
Isn’t it currently 20 German soldiers instead of the promised 5000?
Good video! russia likes to play with missiles, so it could be a good idea to place various types of air defense systems along all border with russia.
KEEP IT COMING LOVE❤IT‼️🇱🇹👀 RISE UP WAKE UP THE TIME IS NOW TO STOP 🛑 THIS RUSSIAN AGGRESSION IN ITS TRACKS‼️🙏LIETUVA LAISVA 🇱🇹SLAVA UKRAINE🇺🇦LETS GOOOOOOOOOOO ooooooooooooooooooooo.

Yes you are.
Morerate your page man... Ru trolls waisting people's time..
Why do the Press alwayes talk about where Russia Will strike next? Do the Press belive that Ukraine Will loose?
They already loose
not needed here.
hay, the conditions of the troops living in lithuania is FOUL. black mold everywhere, the showers are beyond nasty as i am told, lithuania has dropped the ball big time, corruption is bad . the laundry was stolen by the locals and sold in town that has stopped thankfully, i feel bad for the lithuanians, but their government wanted the US to be there so the russians do not reinvade, but they need to take care of their responsibilities. shipping containers where not designed to be used they way they are being used in this harsh climate
here we go again :D:D:D:D:D
Such a shame Gorbachev destroyed our Union
