My Ameca Splendens were so prolific that I don't understand how they can be endangered in the wild. I ultimately sold my entire colony so I didn't get overrun with them!
My least killifish colony (with some pygmy Corydoras) has been going gangbusters for years. I just got a trio of blue wag platies and six fry have survived in their community tank so far. I love the color.
Actually what happened i a few months ago i had 8 windows 2 rosy barbs 2 zebra and 1 female guppy the male guppy died because some fish attacked I think. After some days all fishes were very good but suddenly my guppy disappeared I dont even have any thing as evidence of death also no chance to jump. After many months my tank was running very smoothly with no deaths but suddenly a widow has been attacked and it’s body all been eaten first I thought it was because rosy barb but the next day the female barb was looking weird and it also died tht evening it had no eyes while it was dead I thought it may be widow but it’s impossible since widows are calm but many of them told it’s because of widows now the male only remains in the tank since I am a beginner I has some dead fishes at first but I avoided it immediately but now it’s started again I am worried 😢😢
Unfortunately its hard tell a lot of times why fish die. I would check for signs of disease on your fish maybe and start there. Also check test your water parameters and see if they are in line as well.
Can't disagree with any of those selections!
Thanks for the comment Mac!
Great video thanks for sharing I was one of the people that asked so thanks again for sharing
Your welcome! Thanks for the video idea!

Unfortunately their habitat is polluted and competing speices get introduced with inhibits their ability to survive in the wild .
Supposed to be only one spot in Mexico that still has them in the wild
I think they are underrated and nice livebearers that need to be looked at more as a species that don't have a huge wild colony.
Cool Fishes in the hobby
Thanks Crystal!
👍🏻👍🏻 jealous of those cyprichromis, when I set my room back up I really want to get a group
Unfortunatetly they haven't been breeding a lot lately so I don't have a ton of fry. If I start seeing fry again, I will let you know.
@@FishTankBarn once I get my room up and running again I’ll be sure to reach out
@@-AndrewR sounds good

Nice! My least killifish would only breed in a tub, never really bred for me in a tank for some reason.
You should get Blood red albino king lyretail sword tails. They are awesome.
Maybe someday! We'll see!
@FishTankBarn I have some but they are not "king" which as you know, the males will be sterile.
Also some of my favorites!
Awesome Sandy! Thanks for commenting

Are you coming to the Allen park swap? If not, which one will you he at next? I would love to get some of your fish lol
I generally don't sell at the swaps. I usually will just sell my fish at the Motor City Aquarium Society Auctions
@FishTankBarn noted, I just won a 220 gallon tank. I'm going to get it tomorrow, so I will see you at the next one for sure 😁
@@HeyItsCeeJay congrats
What tank size does a coliny of cyprichromis need?
I would say minimum of a 40 breeder
