In the sixties, we used two large window fans in the two upstairs windows and opened a couple of stair windows. We had compliments from visitors that we must have air conditioning.
I use my swamp cooler combined with this fan and I'm saving the big bucks, what I do it's to turn on the water pump on the swamp cooler and then I turn on the fans to take the air out and that's it !! actually, I have to use some comforters because actually it gets pretty cold at night.. Im from El Paso, Texas..
man it just hit the 90s where im at and a reg fan isn't working anymore. I need a window fan like this asap. About to order this on amazon
I have a window fan bought it awhile ago. It switches modes itself. It keeps bouncing between in out or exchange modes without my control. I’m wondering how to fix this issue. Thanks

Why does mine turn off on its own !
The fuse kept blowing and they sent me five amps but they were too large. I had to use a christmas flight which was not as big 3 Aunt.. Where can I find and what size goes in that plug please
Is this fan loud on low speed? I plan to have it in the window next to me so i don't want something that sounds like a wind turbine. Or should i buy a lower power capacitor and swap them out?
It is just as loud as a normal fan, I'm not aware of the noise but I'm not sleeping next to it.
id still use this to remove hot air out of the room and at the same time use my 7 watt evaporative cooling fan and rechargeable portable fan that runs up to 16 hrs. Its still cheaper to operate compared to an AC.
Buy yourself an AC unit and start living pal !! You can't take it with you !!
I'll stick to my AC Unit thanks ! All that's doing is moving around Hot Air from the inside to the Outside !
It works well here because the air outside is always cooler at night.
Uhhh... that's the point, dude. You remove the hot air from the house and draw in cold air from outside. I'll stick to my fans which save me loads of money on energy and keep my house just as cool as AC.
You seem to get the point. Would love an update when you find out how to make the inside and outside cool at the same time.
@@fortyoneshades You should be Rich !! A fan making your house as Cool as AC ?? Wow! Never seen that one before !!..These AC guys will be out of business very soon with this new invention !! When it's 90* outside with %70 humidity tell me how cool this Fan gets your room ?? Some comments on You Tube are at grade 5 level !!
@@MrLew1965 Hello clueless! I also have an energy efficient home. I know how to cool it overnight and keep it cool during most of the day without the use of fans or AC. When it's 90 outside with 70% humidity, my house is as cool and comfortable as can be! Learn some science. Use your brain and you may not be rich but perhaps you'll come across as somewhat competent the next time you post a comment here!
