    Thanks MJ! Great video.
    I can elaborate and say most if not all religions thought of interest as a bad practice, a lack of charity.
    The Jews were the first to allow lending money to non-community-members and therefore stepped into finance first which helped them build some cultural experience around it (we're talking centuries before Christianity changed its rules).
    Later, when other groups realized that charging interest can actually boost productivity, they all found the appropriate loopholes in order to allow charging interest and removing obstacles from productivity.
