my multimate freestander briquette maker just come,i couldnt wait so i put shredded paper, cardboard & sawdust in a tub filled up with water & left it for 2hrs.i then used the drill bit which came with the pack & turned it to mulch.i then setup the freestander & away i went making briquettes, the guys certainly got the measurements right for this product, it doesn't hurt your hands, knees & legs like the other 1s ive bought & used & broke.so guys thankz very much for this awesome bit of kit.
Roll on pay day. This is a must and the ease and quality looks second to none. The others look rubbish, time consuming and got really bad reviews. You get what you pay for. And of course it is made in the UK as well. What more could you ask for. Get to ebay now and buy one. I be there come pay day. Thanks guys
hi. great stuff you got there. listen to this: weld or bolt two extensions on the hind legs of the press so it is already slanted and you won't have to tip it to let water out. my two cents
just ordered one of the free standing brickette maker, one question, how long before using the brickette, ie, how long do they need to dry out before use
hi jeff. i mix it and use it streight away. i have another video called paper briquette demo. on youtube. have a look at that. and you will see it being mixed. regards john.
hi john is it possible to also mix in half paper half sawdust and get the same consistency and pass the same tests with or without a binding agent if you've ever heard tell of such a thing jack
I am really impressed about this machine, but I just wonder why you didn't put a hole in the bottem of your baseplate, That way all the water will end up in the bucket below.
to make it a bit easier to find on ebay if you named it and popped the name on here and ebay that would be really helpfull for anyone searching for it =) genius idea though much better than the rest that are around.
I have seen so many machines but this is excellent but I need a hole in the center of the briquette, do you have any idea to make changes to this machine for hole?
Cut a hole the same size as the hole you want in your press plate. I would guess that you would want to catch comes out of the hole separately, since it will have a much higher concentration of water. This is the simplest way I can think of, other than using a very sharp boring bit to cut a hole in the brick after pressing.
Wow! Very very nice setup. Appreciate the time and attention to detail & craftsman ship. I knew straight away those other ones would not last very long...it was pressing against itself. The machine that John displays here will be around for my great grandkids. Do it right and buy once from John. All others..you are just flushing your money. Thanks John (Q)! Tell Moneypenny thanks for the quick shipment. 3 days to the middle of the U.S.! -007
hi.the postage to the states is seventy pounds. we would let you have the machine for one hundred pounds including the tools which would make a total of one hundred and seventy pounds. if your ok with that. send me your paypal details by text to my phone. and i will send you a request for the amount. my number 07885989454 thanks for your interest regards john.
john derbyshire what is that in U.S. Dollars please? I am not sure my phone has internation txt messaging, do you have an email address I can send my info to when I am ready to order?
hi. yes we have shipped to the states. the postage is seventy pounds which we cant do anything about. we can drop the price of the machine to one hundred pounds. but it will cost one hundred and seventy pounds.you would also get the filling spade and mixing tool. hope this is of some help to you. best regards john. - multimate6752
hi John i was quoted 70 pounds for collection of a freestanding tabletop version but I'm afraid Paul hasn't gotten back to me to give me the address details etc can you help me with this as i cannot employ the carriers or get a quote for delivery without them regards Jack Benton Nireland
those commenters who have this machine seem very pleased, but I wonder, why must you tip it up off it's legs to dump out excess water? seems like a bit more design work is needed.
the design of this machine is to be tipped - which is no effort. Water will not fully drain from the top in a completely level position and wetter briquettes take longer to dry. So a simple little tip does the trick!
To be honest, this looks a good idea but is NOT. ;) Recycling paper this way will cost more trees to be cut down to make new paper. It takes much more energy to make new paper from trees then from old paper. BUT much worse is the fact that you burn all the ink that is on the paper. This is not so ECO. But if you're looking for a perfect way to evaporate chemicals into the air. This is the way to do it.
stefkedebelg ik - Not so fast. Waste paper must be collected, transported, sorted, and heavily processed to be recycled into new paper, all of which takes energy, time, water, and money and produces its own waste. Converting paper waste like this into energy similarly produces air and water pollution, but provides a benefit (heat) and reduces the need and cost for buying and using other forms of energy for heat. On balance, this provides more benefit for less cost than recycling. In addition, organic yard waste and food waste can be added to the mixture further providing more benefit and lower environmental cost. There's no free lunch either way, but in many circumstances, this is a much better deal.
What would you suggest, coal!! Talking of chemicals into the air, trust me this is nothing compared to the deliberate act of weather modification that ploughed billions of tonnes of aluminium, barium ect into the atmosphere day in day out all over the world. People all over the world are now standing up to weather modification, but will it stop, NO!!

hi paul thanks for all your help got my briquette maker january good job kind regards james northern ireland
Very clever design! If you make the rear legs a little longer, the water will drain more easily away from the brick. Good luck!
this is ingenious! very good video i've never seen someone throw a pulp briquette like that! i hope these are for sale here soon

Not really as if you don't use this method you just go out and buy a tonne of logs!!
