As a kid who stared riding bmx on a Walmart bike I hate when people call expensive bikes trash because they don't care for their bike
I agree man, I grew up riding BMX on a big box BMX aswell, Those people are just afraid to work on their own bike, and can't try to figure shit out on their own
I don't have a bike shop near me
Let alone a BMX shop
I had my Walmart bmx for a year now I can’t do tricks on it but I do have fun in streets with my friends my brakes are trash,my wheel legit started ripping right now iam upgrading parts iam gonna get Se handle bars so I can wheelie and brakes, more parts
@@bmxsasa2145
Man, don't waste money on parts
If you can afford a better bike don't waste ur money on that one
Adrenaholic Inc. My friend got a super cheap bike and the bike was pretty much like my bike( the quality) if not s little bit more he upgraded parts and he can do tricks
should we do repair video's... leave a comment or like if so
Yeah some cassette cleaning would be awesome
How to lace a wheel
How to: fix a inner tube or how to replace an innertube. Basics.
DIY fix your bike. What tools to use. Etc etc.
replacing bottom bracket / cranks would be cool
Common fixes with easy to find tools
Setting up a straight chain line is something nobody ever talks about, I ended up machining parts to get my sprockets perfectly inline
wow dude you have any videos of those in use? would love to see :) I always struggle to get my back wheel straight :/
Vu is such a cool dude always down to support I wish Epic was my local bmx shop
Epic Bmx needs their own channel!! 🔥 🔥 🔥 Nate can run it for them 👌
Love this guy, he's so straight foward👍
Props to Mr VU. Thanks for the bmx knowledge. The Best! Epic!!!
I hated the unsealed bottom brackets growing up lol always wore through them.
Do a how to maintain a cassette hub
When I pedal it’s squeaky and it sounds like it’s the bottom bracket but I don’t know what I should do
grease that baby up
a good mechanic goes a long way! stoked you pointed that out Phu.
A video of showing how to true a wheel would be ideal. I dont have any bmx heavy shops around me. All mt bikes and electric bikes.
@crumpler56 I'll go look for it bro, thanks.
I LOVE the "untied shoe" reference at 3:45!!! WELL done, sir!!
I’m 30 and bought an unsealed bmx bike to move around my city when I don’t want to drive. Got bit by the bug and now I’m hopping of shit 🤣 i try to stay on top of maintenance and the bike is going 3 years strong. I would like to get a sealed frame when this one breaks since parts are more being developed for sealed stuff now. I can’t find much for this bike anymore. A repair vid for unsealed will be pretty cool for me but I’m not sure how well it will do for you since most people have sealed now. Anyways, thanks for the tips. Maybe epic can source some nice parts for me when I’m ready.
Yessssss. This is definitely needed. Almost wanted to ask Mancuso if he'd start doing more how to tech stuff but I dig bossman epic doin it🙌🙌
So I'm getting back into Bmx, Was really good at it as a kid but could never afford a good bike. Could only get the cheap Walmart bikes.. Now I'm 35 and went to a bike shop in Indiana while visiting family, bought a Free Agent bike for $659 from the box, and it would cost me $80 more for the guy to assemble it. only had $20 to my name left. So my only choice was to just buy the tools and do it my self. It was easy, But I'm having issues with the brakes not working right. The pads will clamp on and off just fine but the arm rubs the tire, So I adjust that.. Then the chain keeps clunking so I pull the tire back to make the chain tight, Then I try in out,.. 4 pedals in and the chain start clunking again. If its to tight it does it and if it's tight just enough to keep it in place it still ends up doing it... I feel like a dumb ass taken it to a shop for help, It was so simple as a kid fixing bikes,. Now as a adult I forgot everything.. Just had to share .. lol
Can you guys talk about big bmx bikes like 24,26,29"?
29? Umm what the fuck is wrong with you...are you fucking 3 meters heigh or what?
@TheComeUp Make a vid about building the entire back wheel. There aren't any videos on that!
Love this dude!
I would like to see more tips on bmx maintenance as I don't have a local bike shop that services bmx bikes.
I bought FIT complete a few years ago and currently my freecoaster is slipping on pedal down. It usually follows a louder pop than normal when I pedal back. Then when I go to pedal it slips (not slack) about half pedal before engaging like normal. Any tips? I know I probably just need to re-grease it but I never had this problem before.
this is so cool! keep doing videos like this!
Good Info 👌
Great video!
Always see hicks banging his bars on floor...(IN THE HOOD)
Roman Noodles big facts
Roman Noodles lmao cause his bikes are brand new, stem hasn’t broke in yet so it just slips all the time
That’s cuz he don’t carry tools funny ass hicks comment tho 😂😂😂
Wish you guys did videos on 24” and 26” bmx bikes 🤔
7:55 run a flle over the break block to get rid of the glazing on the break block or go breakless
Can you explain what I need to look for when my chain keeps coming loose? I don't have a shop around me that is specifically bmx; they're all road bike shops
loosen the nuts on your back tire and push your tire back in its dropouts, snug up drive side first then do non drive side.. Then tighten them down..Just don't make your chain too tight, you want it to move up and down a little
You may need a new camera 😬
I’ve worked in bike shops and this dude is like Brian Cox or David Attenborough, he can explain everything in simple terms without dumberfyimg it. The only thing he didn’t explain is that chains stretch, especially cheaper or thinner ones but I will let that slide
14:13 Show peeps how to do a nut and bolt check and make sure everythings tight before going out riding
Please help me! When i pull up my front wheel. Is it normal that its moving a little right and left? Please help!
Si algún día fuera a usa iría a conocer tu tienda de seguro
Epic is the best 100%
I had a kink curb and it had a loose front hub, I blew up one of the bb bearing and rebuilt it like 20 times cuz it was always loose, then ended it all with chronic head tube snapage and got a kink gap
my friend snapped 2 curbs... mine has held up great and i tried 180s over hips that had a huge impact, and 180s out of quarters. no cracks. frames held up
Anyone know how to fix a problem i bought a bmx bike newly used and for some reason why i use it i cant control the pedal and it would keep pedalling after i stoped and I couldn’t control the pedal when it was moving anyone know how to fix it
I got tires with studs on my bmx like mountain bike wheels should I change them?
It depends on where you ride.. Dirt, no.. Street, yes
lazo marsh I mean I want to make small dirt jumps but I ride on street and grass
It would be helpful if you explain
Hey Phu, I ran out of KY jelly...what should I use?
Butter
Upkeep people. Tighten things down and lube things up. You should be doing it every few rides if you’re really pacing. Use a chain tensor too and don’t over tighten it. And DONT use locktite on your nuts. Lol you’ll regret it.
Foo is a G. Nice jorts BTW.
Did anyone else notice the dude standing by the door
I bought a Sunday bmx. Love it, but I have to replace almost everything. It’s so bad. Looming for new forks, anybody have suggestions? I want jet fuel, but I wanna keep it a black and blue schemed.
If your looking for some budget forks, the rant twin peaks and fiction troop forks are around 50 to 60 bucks
Dont get jet fuel !
What store is this

Fckn love vu🤙🏾❤️🔥
Some people are just 🤦♂️. They try to find a reason to complain. I used to freestyle but I race BMX now and I have a 3K bike and guess what I have to tighten my bolts all the time. It’s a fxcking bike
3:56 If you have a new bmx, parts will work loose, so take a tool bag with you so if things move you can tighten them back up again something like this >> www.epicbmx.com/tools
Handle bars that move
super easy fix
@@trinaeset what about the cutting into the clamp with a dremmel so that the metal has something to grab on to I went to the bike Mechanic and he tightened it in an x pattern they moved again
@@trinaeset the bolts for greased they moved again so that's twice then my neighbor helped they moved again so that's 3 times
It's hopeless
@@ericvlogs3978 Try sanding the bar area where it clams along with the stem with an agressive sandpaper. That should work and is not risky. You can ruin your bars with a dremmel
Tightened handle bars 3 times they still moved bolts were greased and they still moved
Sand the paint off the clamping surface of stem and off knurling of bars
@@3clubforever I will and what's knurling
Knurling is the rough part of the handlbars that the stem clamps onto. Sometimes in the factory they get too much paint on that area and the bars wont grip the stem
Work out
Do not use grease
My chain broke what am I suposed todo
Get a chain breaker and an extra link
@@bryceyplays5148 it was sarcasam
Throw it away
Please do these tutorials I am about to get that same bike and I am super scared that I'm gonna think something is broken and idk I think it would be super helpful. Thank you for this video
Bro just face the problems head on as they come. If you cant find a solution use google it helps a lot 👍
