Just finished Lies of P a few days ago. Magnificent game that is on par with FS titles, and runs like a dream on anything. I´d even advocate it was last year´s best port. Massively recommended.
Family sharing on the App Store is definitely more user friendly than even the revamped Steam family sharing feature, because it allows everyone to play the same game simultaneously
If real games keep coming to the app store… Won’t the iPad/Ecosystem become a better option than the steam deck one day? Great screen, easier to pack in the laptop sleeve in your bag and potentially longer battery due to the efficiency of M series? I haven’t seen a video comparing iPad and steamdeck performance yet. If M series chips eventually appear on apple tv, wouldn’t that also become a game console essentially? I feel like apple is in an excellent position to capitalize on their hardware with gaming and launching an ecosystem wide game service. I guess we’ll see. I’d also like to see battery tests of the iPad vs steamdeck too.
The only two games I bought on Mac store were both resident evil games because we as a consumer talk with our money. And I want more games on my Mac. Everything else I buy on steam and play on the ally or my pc
i was planning to buy a racing wheel setup for my mac but couldnt find a compatible where in their officia page some of logitech and trustmaster have been mentioned which is more compatible with mac and im not a hard core gamer just play games in a casual time to relax myself from stress
I bought the Forgotten City and it runs poorly on my M3 Max, without even stressing it. The cursor capture is pretty bad as well. On fullscreen the mouse can actually go into my second monitor and click things while I'm trying to play. Borderless just stays in a window, and the cursor somehow gets stuck on top of the display and I can't look up. On windowed it seems to work just fine, although once the cursor was visible under the game cursor. The resolution is not the full resolution of my display. It uses the downscaled resolution macOS is using, so it doesn't look as crisp (2560x1440 on my 4k display, Minecraft uses the 'upscaled' resolution, runs at 5k and then downscales).
@@lost_valley You can see the price without downloading. For any app on the App Store, just head down to In-App Purchases near the bottom, click the arrow to expand it, and it'll tell you the price of all their in-app purchases. Makes it super quick to find out if an app/game is a waste of time or not.
I don't think it's a good idea to compare the price in mac app store to the current price tag on steam. There're chrome extensions available for you to retrieve historical lows and last discounts. With the ongoing sale, it's likely that you might find a game that's cheaper right now on mac app store. I mean if mac only users are not that into games in the past, it won't hurt if they wait a couple of months more to get the steam version at a more desirable price, unless there's a significant difference in performance, which I have absolutely no idea if it's actually the case here.

Hey Andrew, since I installed Sonoma 14.4 death stranding is crashing the computer after some minutes, repeatedly. Did you notice the same ?
Surprised Divinty or No Man’s Sky isn’t in it. Want to get Stray. Will I’d prefer not to have everything on Steam, the face I can buy games there and play on the Mac, or easily on my Steam Deck holds me back from getting games off MAS unless it’s exclusive.
2:15 Andrew please do not promote steam key resellers. Vast majority of them are scammers who obtain keys from developers by acting as "reviewers" or entirely through some shady means.
I skip all Steam releases whatsoever. The current tech state of Steam for Mac arm64 is totally unacceptable. Also, running Steam games means substantial performance overhead because of multiple Steam x86_64 interoperability services running via Rosetta2, and also because of high RAM consumption by Steam and its services. Steam fans like to praise "flexibility" but forget to mention all these issues. I recommend buying Mac App Store versions at least for all users of base M chip Macs (non-Pro/Max), especially with 8 GB RAM Also a hint: if you want both cross-platform flexibility and zero overhead, just go for GOG versions and use standalone game installers. It's a shame though that GOG lacks some Mac games available on Steam and/or MAS
Imagine playing games on Mac 🤣🤣🤣 If you can afford Mac, you can afford at least mid-range pc or Steam Deck. Telling as a Mac user for a decade. So there is no need to write a poem on YT to cry how bad Steam is working there. Get something that was made for games and stop inhaling copium.
Steam for ARM works fine for me on my M2 Pro? But I only play No Mans Sky. Zero issues whatsoever. You just have a limited number of games in comparison. People try to download x86 games that say “Mac compatible” and then get confused when it doesn’t support it. No Man’s Sky runs like butter on Ultra settings 1440p.
Do not buy lies of p from steam!! Its not installing properly and still i cannot play it on my m3 pro 16. Developers did absolutely nothing to help get it working!
The price differences reminded me why we need third part App Store support on iOS.

Mac App Store = family sharing ❤
yeah! I'd love to share Stray with my wife!

i love how ur uploading everyday
Man, The Forgotten City is a true hidden gem.
Better deal for Stray on the MAS right now. $19.99 USD vs $29.99 USD on Steam.
GOG is more flexible but the selection is not as rich as Steam.
Steam cards are convenient too
Those have to be the most useless thing I've ever seen. You get a few cents back for your game purchase, but that's it. @@stephanemignot100
thank god people realized macbooks are good for games. i have been waiting for this so long as a gamer

I bought them all lol. I own most of them on console but a lot of these have replay value like crazy.

Is this a worldwide sale?
*edit: They are not featured in the same way, but if you do a search the prices are discounted
GRID Legends?
Thanks, Apple. "Lies of P" is of course NOT discounted in Germany... Why, Apple? Why?
This is fantastic I just wish I had enough space for Resident Evil Village
Forget storage. I bought Re4 and deleted the game from my mac some days ago(storage issues). Omg app store download stucks at some point all the time😊
buy a external ssd
I did the same and installed 1tb games

Not ok. Can you return it and get a refund? (Like on Steam)
Going to buy resident evil 4, because the game seems to be highly rated and also for support for the mac gaming. (already bought Death Stranding)
how much is it now? I don't want to download 40 GB just see the price
@@lost_valley $30

Grid Legends is probably not in the collection because it's not on sale?
How much is RE4 now??? It will take me half a day to download just to see if I can afford it
It’s £24.99 now

Pode trazer conteúdos para o chip M2 MAX ? Seus vídeos são incríveis
how can I play flatout2 in Mac
dumb question asl but do these games have DRM/Denuvo? I wouldn’t be surprised if it did… 🤦💀
M3 for Pro Mac😏🧐

Barely a sale comparing to Steam
nice

Who buys PC games in the App Store?😂 Steam >>> everything else, expecially if you have a pc or handheld
No shit Sherlock, this is for people who only have Mac’s.
