Between 1941 and November 1942, Chalon-sur-Saône was one of only 4 crossing points for civilians from the unoccupied Vichy zone in the south to the German occupied zone in the north.
Century old houses, St. Vincent's Cathedral, picturesque waterfronts, arts, museum and river port definitely a place of great value. This city is worth - visiting. Thanks for the tour.
It's really charming city, quiet and very good atmosphere, the bridge looks so old but strong still, beautiful buildings architecture, seems historical too, art and museum created more elegance atmosphere, it's really relaxing wandering around here, thanks for bringing me there
