    Pilot Petra's are great pens. I have a bunch of them, but they haven't been getting any love lately, so I need to change that.

      I totally agree! After inking all of mine yesterday, I brought the Slate Gray one with me to work and I’m enjoying it very much!

    Thank you for the nib comparisons. I enjoy using my Pilot Prera CM nib for headings in my Hobonichi. Looking forward to your upcoming Pilot nib comparisons for other pens.

      You are welcome! I use the CM Pilot Metro daily at work/school simply because it’s fun! 🤩

    Thanks for the video. I've been contemplating buying one of these. It appears the clear demonstrator versions come with a CON-40, but the opaque colored ones do not.

      You are correct. The clear demonstrator pens come with a converter and a cartridge. They also cost a few dollars more to compensate for the addition. If you like lightweight pens, these should be quite enjoyable for you.

    I like to match my ink with the pen barrels too😊

      🥰🖋️ It helps me when I reach for a pen/ink of a certain color.

    Will the CM nib work with smaller writing? Or is it better for larger writing and/or headings?

    • @MarcellHobbs

      I use it for smaller writing in my Hobonichi and small grid Sterling Ink planners. It is smaller than a Stub nib but performs like it in style.

    Is the plastic better on the clear one? I notice it always costs more than the original plain one?

      Your question caused me to seek additional info. In the hand they feel the same. I have four colored Preras and one clear demonstrator. I just flushed three of the pens. The only one inked in my new pink one. I weighed all pens capped and then weighed just the caps. The lightest weight in grams was the clear demonstrator at 15.38 g. The Ivory was the highest at 15.58g. I think the price difference comes from the Con-40 converter. The colored ones only come with a cartridge. You have to purchase your own at the price between $5-7 each. Multi packs are cheaper at Amazon. The demonstrator comes with a converter, so I think the price difference reflects additional materials. Thanks for your wonderful question. I hope you enjoy a Prera soon! Oh btw, I just checked Amazon - the pink Prera is on sale less than $20!

      Thanks! I did go ahead and purchase a brown one and love it. Thinking about getting the demonstrator. Thanks so much for the thorough answer.

    Hello! i just ordered a Pilot prera on amazon, and wanted to ask if the pilot namiki cartridges will fit on the pen, cheers!

      @MarcellHobbs  7 місяців тому +1

      Yes. Did you order a clear or colored body? The colored ones come with a cartridge. The clear will come with a converter. These are proprietary and use only Pilot cartridges or converters. Enjoy your fabulous pen!

    Thank you for sharing such a great overview of the Prera. I’ve always liked the look of them but haven’t tried one yet. Do you feel that the cap doesn’t secure when posted or capped? I’m always afraid of non-twist pens coming lose in bags/pencil cases.

    • @MarcellHobbs
      @MarcellHobbs  10 місяців тому +1

      It feels snug with a small “click” sound at the end of capping. I used this new pen at school/work all day. Sometimes putting it my Galen Leather notebook with pen loops, other times hanging it by its clip on my lanyard strap with no problems. If you have concerns, place into a pen sleeve or pen loop for extra security.
