  • Follow along for our 3rd update of the TSMC Phoenix site. Our first video was September 2022, then January 2023, and now April 2023.
    Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company is building two semiconductor fabrication plants in Phoenix, Arizona at a tune of $40 billion. The size and scale of the construction is enormous. Follow along as this is our second update of the TSMC construction progress.
    TSMC Phoenix is vital to the US, as evidenced by President Joe Biden's visit to the site, along with other major US CEO's like Apple's Tim Cook.

    In June 2021, TSMC started to provide N5A military-grade 5nm chip manufacturing service for high performance computing and high-end AI chips. That will enables the military chip designer of Taiwan, the US, Europe and Japan to apply and design high-tech AI weapons, or to upgrade the arms to be the AI enabled ones.

      It’s not. Everything is within 30 minutes of each other in Arizona basically. Anthem is a large planned community only 15 min away, Peoria is 10 minutes away, Scottsdale is 20 minutes, downtown Phoenix is 30, surprise is 30. Additionally, the whole area will blow up with development.

    AI is the brain of the progress of the entire society. There is no doubt that it is needed by all walks of life. It will accurately introduce automatic manufacturing, will lead Taiwan for 50 years, and will enter extraterrestrial civilization. This is the beginning of human technology and the first stage of the industrial revolution. In the future, mobile phones will no longer exist, and projection audio ip will be ubiquitous. For example, will you be using the radio or the current mobile phone? In the future, personal computers and tablet computers will not exist, and knowledge has entered the cloud. is the beginning of the industrial revolution. Food, clothing, housing and transportation need AI. Don’t doubt that the heart of mankind is in Taiwan. AI, the global supply chain, is irreplaceable and unique. It is also the core of the global alliance of high-tech countries.

    Glad the federal government pressured TMSC to open in the U.S. this will be huge for AI within the next few years. While it may seem like we are lowring our reliance on Taiwan, they know they need us more than we need them

    I really hope TSMC withdrawal from US earlier than later. It's distracting to invest in American soil unless you can fully automate and reduce local hiring. chip made by foundries in US just cant compete by cost structure. There is a reason why only Intel, Apple, Qualcomm, AMD, NVIDIA survives.

      @@precisionaerialsolutions Unfortunately there are not enough qualified chip workers in the US, so this project might not succeed, unless highly qualified workers from Taiwan are imported.

    • @precisionaerialsolutions
      @precisionaerialsolutions  Рік тому

      @@rodrigomohr1277 I wouldn’t classify that as a complete disaster, especially considering that was the goal all along - Taiwanese employees will be granted temporary citizenship to start the factory and train US employees. The factory will not be full production on day 1.

    • @rodrigomohr1277
      @rodrigomohr1277 Рік тому

      @@precisionaerialsolutions Is not as simple as just to 'train' US personnel, this factory requires highly skilled workers many of whom need to have PhD degrees or more. The Taiwanese will need to stay in which case it will be a disaster for Taiwan, since they will lose those highly skilled workers.
