Unless you play with aftermarket solid vinyl tip darts aka FVJs (not soft Nerf brand ones) and the Melbourne League of Foam ruleset has velocity cap of 150fps. Our other group, Melbourne Nerf Wars, has a cap of 300fps. -Justin
Probably because this person looks down on these grown men playing with nerf guns. I do this kind of thing as well and I can tell you that these men are living their dreams. Can you honestly say the same or judge them for doing so Glint?
Adam Grote assume much. I have nerf guns too. I find it funny and sad because they have to use nerf guns. I don't look down on them because I know that airsoft is banned for them. good on them for making the best of what they have access to,
Perhaps I do, I apologize and appreciate your kind response, I didn't airsoft was banned there. Its hard not to assume people will judge grown men for doing things like this. I have received more than my fair share of glances and under breath comments about how weird it is that I still play with nerf guns and fight with others who do the same and perhaps in this I have become biased in my judgment of others. I do apologize.
A Hawkeye Firefly 6s. It's about as powerful at Gopro Hero3+. But it looks good because of color correcting and color grading in video editing. -Justin
I have been looking for a war in an industrial setting forever! This one really does the trick. I love the setting. This has become one of my favorite videos. What kind of permission did you have to get to make this happen on the site of this industrial looking mine/gravel pit/concrete plant? Anyway, I love it. Definitely cool. It looks kind of like Call of Duty as you guys go through the narrow passageways and around the storage containers and things. The only thing that would make it better is if it were HvZ with real dressed up zombies and gameplay at dusk...for me anyway. Keep it up!
Justin, this is absolutly my favorite video you've done so far! Amazing production quality! Can't wait to war with you guys again. Keep up the great work. Really excited to see more vids. Got damn!
Premier CS6 and Hitfilm 2 Ultimate. You can download Hitfilm 4 Express for free which is a full blown editor and very easy to learn compared to other editors. -Justin
Make.Test.Battle Cheers! Im currently using CS6 (I've upgraded since i last talked to you) and im really enjoying the features. Didn't know you can do some of the features you used in this video like making the blasters "illuminated" and such if you catch my drift.
Are you still using the Firefly camera? I thought I'd go for the Git Pro 2, it was supposed to be a step up but I still don't get footage as clear as that.
While the sensors are different (and I have no idea which is better) do keep in mind that the brushless gimbals that we use massively increase the quality as there is less motion blur, on top of that there is a lot of post processing to remove fisheye, improve contrast, etc, etc... -R
It comes down to post processing, I did a lot of colour and image correction. The main one is the image effect "Vibrance" in Hitfilm. Not the same as Vibrance in Adobe programs. It sharpens colour edges and accentuates them with a contrasting glow gradient from the edge. It's like a faux HDR effect ("Clarity" in Photoshop), using a little brings back detail. It makes the original look soft and washed out by comparison. That and boosting Contrast, Saturation and a Fisheye Distortion with a negative value to correct some of the len barreling. -Justin
They're FVJ5, FVJs with super heavy duty foam, official dart of MLF dart pool: item.taobao.com/item.htm?spm=a1z09.2.0.0.5W9t57&id=43472303127&_u=p2aimqk35e8
James Zhu so we were just testing with all out FVJs and the purple FVJs were the weakest and most likely to burst with Adrian's HPA setup. White FVJs had the strongest foam -R
man, this is a great nerf war video you guys! I myself have a lot of older nerf guns I both collect and use for occasional target practice. eventually I plan to gather a bunch of my fellow nerf fans from my local area for a major nerf war. I currently run a stock Nerf Styrfe as my primary, and I also have plenty of other nerf blasters such as the Vulcan EBF 25, the accustrike alphahawk, the stampede, the longstrike (missing the stock and barrel, but works great) and a bunch of spring action pistols, which I need to modify lol. all of my guns need mods and some where to have a nerf war
The colours really pop, did you increase the saturation/ use a polarised lens? Also, that Vulcan seemed to be shooting further than stock, was it modified?
Make.Test.Battle lmao sorry stupid questions that I ask when half asleep always amuse me, but it seemed very tedious, are you able to just reuse them right away or do they need to be cleaned?
a1022man Yeah, we have a huge pool and get everyone together after a bunch of rounds have been played to pick up heaps in one sweep. They are generally fine to reuse as is after being picked up -R
I’m over here wondering if anybody has ever used anything impractical for the main, like a ghoul grinder. I don’t know if the zombie strike series in general has any practical picks (besides maybe scravenger and, an even bigger stretch, revreaper.) because u barely see them be used, but seeing the sledge fire modified near the end gave me a bit of hope that people mess around with the less tactical blasters
Also we play with aftermarket solid vinyl tip darts (not soft Nerf brand ones) and the Melbourne League of Foam ruleset has velocity cap of 150fps. Another group, Melbourne Nerf Wars, has a cap of 300fps. -Justin
Ohhh ok. Thats actually really badass. I've always been into the nerf scene but i found myself way more into airsoft for the roleplay/realism aspect. That actually sounds rather fun. You guys make good videos! Sorry if my joke was harsh :P By the way huge fan of your super sledge. Throw a scope on it and make it a DMR. Or better yet do the same thing to a long strike
5 times more work making them from scratch. I like the Overwatch UI and the Half-Life sounds work. Ultimately they are there to convey information to the viewer and they do their job. -Justin
I am a simple man I see havokfire I CLICH FASTER THAN THE SPEED OF LIGHT due to me ADORING THEM hence why I got one FOR 20 POUNDS IN REALY GOOD CONDITION OF A FRIEND 3RD HAND BABY
? Kill Confirmed you need to pick up the tags to get the points, your team can save your tags if they get them first. Eh. haven't played CoD since BO1. -Justin
You said you do HvZ? With the resources you appear to have I hope it is a well run branch. I am part of an HvZ branch in the U.S. at Purdue University in Indiana and I am always happy to hear of another branch especially so far away.
Adam Grote Our HvZ is very different to American campus style HvZ. We run in an fairly open park with a few trees, zombies have a 25 second stun timer, and rounds go from 5-30 minutes. We get in a bunch of games in one afternoon -R
It doesn't seem too different, the only difference I noticed was the length of the round, our missions tend to go on for hours. Check out Sam Tiller's youtube page he's our freelance film artist, and he filmed all the game week's for the last several years.
so much more fun to watch than those staged nerf wars
:,) -R
how do you mount your gun like that?
Nerf ninjas Just on the stock.
-Justin
Remember when MTB started making literally the best mod guide videos? They just won the war footage prize too.
^_^
yes they are the best.
I'm so happy to finally be able to watch non fake Nerf wars.
Thanks man.
-Justin
Make.Test.Battle Also I love your customs, thanks for the help on my modding.
This looks like a LOT of fun! Great job, guys!
Thanks mang. Too much work went into it.
-Justin
Well worth it ^_^
justajolt
Yes!!??
HELLO JOLT@@justajolt
Its TF:GO all over again...
But wow, I love that intro
I LOVE THE OVERWATCH THEME!!!!!
All I could think throughout this video was "Escort the payload."
In this rare moment, the entire team was on the objective... a feat never to be repeated again -R
The only thing I don't like about this is that it ended too quickly! Keep up the great work!
this was absolutely amazing and I love all the make test battle vids are totally legit . my favorite one is the full auto stryfe
We make the videos that we as modders would want to watch and nothing else! Glad you like it! -R
at first I was like "why not just play airsoft" but then I realized you live in Australia
Also nerf guns are way cheaper and the ammo is reusable and the darts don't hurt so much that you need protective equipment.
Unless you play with aftermarket solid vinyl tip darts aka FVJs (not soft Nerf brand ones) and the Melbourne League of Foam ruleset has velocity cap of 150fps.
Our other group, Melbourne Nerf Wars, has a cap of 300fps.
-Justin
+Adam Grote the bullets don't hurt that bad just pants sweatshirt and goggles
ABC.AWESOME81 oh yeah yeah
LMAOO
Hope you enjoyed peeps. Too much work went into this. :D
-Justin
Make.Test.Battle
...where is this. I would love to do a war in a place like this.
lovin it. how did you get permission to play where you did? it looks looks like a saddingtons...
I loved it.
Make.Test.Battle with
As an Australian I just love the banter in this video.
Lol, thanks.
-Justin
viiiie
Ayyy im Australian to
Mercy mains like me are happy about the Stryfe sound
"Mercy's Pistol does a surprising amount of damage"
-Justin
Sometimes I have to carry my team as Mercy:P
This footage is sick with the editing, please do more.
I have, posted one this week. :)
-Justin
the quality of this video...
amazing
am now watching for the second time
Finally a truck in a nerf video (excluding a jeep)
I love the overwatch icons for ammo and the song
love the new editing format. looks great
The footage from that Hawkeye Firefly 6S camera is amazing.
A lot of the quality is due to the gimbal stablizer but the Firefly is very decent! -R
Make.Test.Battle Good to know. For the first 5 seconds I had to look closely as I thought I was seeing CG. Looking forward to more of these vids! :)
Yeah! The main thing is that the gimbal almost totally removes any sort of motion blur so the image is super crisp -R
This is funny and sad at the same time...
how is it sad?
Probably because this person looks down on these grown men playing with nerf guns. I do this kind of thing as well and I can tell you that these men are living their dreams. Can you honestly say the same or judge them for doing so Glint?

Oops
is this rust from mw2
Maybe
What camera did you use to record? The picture quality is amazing
A Hawkeye Firefly 6s. It's about as powerful at Gopro Hero3+.
But it looks good because of color correcting and color grading in video editing.
-Justin
0:21 P2P users in the TF2 :D
NeonWolf lol

statensisland someone they know owns the place, when I went the guy had to drive to open the place, took an hour:P
What headcam are you guys using in this video?
Its not a headcam. Its a brushless gimbal mounted to the blasters stock -R
Holy shit dude , the quality is crisp and the game very much fun
gunna try this game mode with my airsoft pals
Thanks dude. Glad you like it.
-Justin
Justin, this is absolutly my favorite video you've done so far! Amazing production quality! Can't wait to war with you guys again. Keep up the great work. Really excited to see more vids. Got damn!
Thanks man. :) Onwards and upwards.
-Justin
I want you to try using the apollo (my fav blaster) btw nice hud
Lol it's called team fortress two they are using the overwatch hud and are also using half life two sound effects. I love it
Editing is strong with this one
Thanks man, years of of practice. :)
-Justin
Make.Test.Battle np
Amazing work guys so fun to watch
Where was this filmed I know in Australia but where about?
How is that vulcan shooting so far!?
Love the HUD.
nice what camra are ou using and why would u use that video effect?
Justin are you using a stock stryfe or is it modified?
Its one of the Super Stryfes I modified. We have a video on it if you are interested! -R
Make.Test.Battle thanks
Awesome, what editing software did you use?
Premier CS6 and Hitfilm 2 Ultimate.
You can download Hitfilm 4 Express for free which is a full blown editor and very easy to learn compared to other editors.
-Justin
Make.Test.Battle Cheers! Im currently using CS6 (I've upgraded since i last talked to you) and im really enjoying the features. Didn't know you can do some of the features you used in this video like making the blasters "illuminated" and such if you catch my drift.
How do you film your POV the way you do
using a brushless gimbal mounted to the stock -R
Make.Test.Battle oh thank you so much and thank you for replying not many youtubers do that you make my day
I liked that you used OW music and not COD themes lol.
It's is OW. And Half-Life sound effects.
-Justin
i dind't even notice the half-life sfx until now.
That was the coolest thing I have ever saw awesome job bro!!..... Where do u buy your guns??
^_^ Thanks! Gumtree, eBay, and off Buy Sell Trade pages mostly -R
Cool thank u😀😀😀😀
Awesome footage love it
Thanks mang.
-Justin

the best nerf battle ever
Thanks mang.
-Justin
you guys need a bigger truck
Brummmm!!!!!
They need multiple golf carts.
supahvaporeon then stick either a Vulcan or rhino fire (modified of course) on the roof for suppressive fire
*Brings a semi truck with trailor*
AMMO FOR DAYS
*Hides thousands of rounds in the trailor and has like 20 modded rhinofires*
where do you mount your camera?
how did you get the overwatch style HUD?
I drew it up in Fireworks.
-Justin
is that an adobe program?
you guys should just drag a wagon around for a payload
We have done that before. :D Should do again.
-Justin
i have a vulcan what should i do with it?
What darts are those? That purple looks sick
Version 3 Full Vinyl Jackets, aka FVJs.
They're FVJ5, FVJs with super heavy duty foam, official dart of MLF dart pool:
item.taobao.com/item.htm?spm=a1z09.2.0.0.5W9t57&id=43472303127&_u=p2aimqk35e8
James Zhu so we were just testing with all out FVJs and the purple FVJs were the weakest and most likely to burst with Adrian's HPA setup. White FVJs had the strongest foam -R
Make.Test.Battle MNW purple darts are not FVJ5
We have some of both -R
do you use a gimbal for the footage?
Yes.
-Justin
What darts are you using because I can't imagine anyone picking them all up?
We use FVJ5's but we do dart sweeps when the dart pool runs low -R
Could you link me to the buy page? I got some from china the other day but they're of mildly decent quality (100 for £3)
Mark Bell They are everywhere on ebay, aliexpress, and taobao. A link would be pointless -R
Oh, you mean the generic Chinese ones mentioned?
yeah
is the strye from the super strye vid or is it a different mod
Yeah thats the Super Styfe -R
I love cs go and your videos
do you guys use adobe after effects or final cut
I use Adobe Premiere and Hitfilm 2 Ultimate for the effects and colour.
Sometimes use AE.
-Justin
There was standing: 1/18. Then he fired 2 shots :) lol
I have a funny idea you should use a full auto blaster and shoot a snare drum lol
man, this is a great nerf war video you guys! I myself have a lot of older nerf guns I both collect and use for occasional target practice. eventually I plan to gather a bunch of my fellow nerf fans from my local area for a major nerf war. -Justin
thank you for making this awesome video
The colours really pop, did you increase the saturation/ use a polarised lens? Also, that Vulcan seemed to be shooting further than stock, was it modified?
Colour Correction and Grading in Hitfilm. Then a bunch of effects to make the darts flare.
-Justin
Loving the new content and vlog keep up the good work
And the lense flare
Thanks mang.
were any of these guns modded?
Yeah, everyone at our events uses modded blasters -R
How did you guys get permission to have a war in what I assume is an actual factory or some description?
Yeah we did :D -R
I was more asking on actually *how*, cause.... you know, I've got a group here who'd like to do something similar and keep getting rebuffed.
Its about who you know. We happen to know the guy who runs the place and due to fortuitous circumstances it was available for a war -R
Why the tactical gear?
For fun or carrying blasters and all the mags.
-Justin
wtf do you do with all the darts you shoot?
Pick them up?
He's right you know.

In the latest video a guy is using a Titan.
Who cleans up the bullets
Everyone. We Dart sweep together.
-Justin
I like how you're getting hit by nerf darts "OW OW OW IM HIT IM HIT OW OW OW OW" Like its nerf lol.
Our darts have more kinetic energy than airsoft BBs just as an FYI -R
Also we play with aftermarket solid vinyl tip darts (not soft Nerf brand ones) and the Melbourne League of Foam ruleset has velocity cap of 150fps.
Another group, Melbourne Nerf Wars, has a cap of 300fps.
-Justin
Ohhh ok. Thats actually really badass. I've always been into the nerf scene but i found myself way more into airsoft for the roleplay/realism aspect. That actually sounds rather fun. You guys make good videos! Sorry if my joke was harsh :P
By the way huge fan of your super sledge. Throw a scope on it and make it a DMR. Or better yet do the same thing to a long strike
Deven Airsoft No offense taken; creating pain is easy :P We're got some pretty cool things lined up for Polarstar style builds -R
Where can I get that N STRIKE ELITE PATCH!?!?!
That was awesome
So, you're not allowed to play airsoft where you are?
Nope :( Airsoft is illegal in Australia because of our imitation firearms laws -R
I personally could enjoy some more unique UI and sound affect ideas outside of ripping Half Life 2 and Overwatch, but maybe that's just me.
5 times more work making them from scratch. I like the Overwatch UI and the Half-Life sounds work.
Ultimately they are there to convey information to the viewer and they do their job.
-Justin
I would love to do this but amagine how many darts they lose
Not that many, we do a group dart sweep and pick most of them up.
-Justin
Is your Strif moded
Its one of the Super Stryfes I modified. We have a video on it if you are interested! -R
Is this in Australia cause I saw Australian flag badges??
Yes.
nice graphic
can you tell it rained
overwacth?
yep
-Justin
Is 44 too old to pay? Probably but damn this looks fun.
nerf tf2 hat simulator
I certainly hope the bathroom was out of bounds. That could be messy if it's not.
AJ wouldn't live in tasmania now would he? I think i saw him yesterday.
XD I would much rather do this than play overwatch
I am a simple man I see havokfire I CLICH FASTER THAN THE SPEED OF LIGHT
due to me ADORING THEM hence why I got one FOR 20 POUNDS IN REALY GOOD CONDITION OF A FRIEND
3RD HAND BABY
You all should try Airsoft
Its not kill confirmed. In this case its search and rescue
? Kill Confirmed you need to pick up the tags to get the points, your team can save your tags if they get them first.
Eh. haven't played CoD since BO1.
-Justin
lol when they got on the truck they dropped wat looks like a modified swarm
THE TOWERING PILE OF HATS!!! #TF2IRL
tf2 soundboard fro healing :D
Neo cool
*so stupid auto correct
what did you mean?
-Justin
Make.Test.Battle I think he meant so cool
I love how they wear full military combat gear but then they have cheap $20 nerd guns
Airsoft is illegal in Australia so this is the best we've got -R
cool
dude
I have a Vulcan to
0:24 guys it’s team fortr.....
Shit he beat me to it
This is airsoft but colorfull
Dat poise tho
?
-Justin
When you were stacking the hats on that one guy
Guys can u like mod/look at the buzzbee airmax 10/6 can be used with hpa too ;)
I feel bad for you guys not having airsoft
Yup :,( -R
You said you do HvZ? With the resources you appear to have I hope it is a well run branch. I am part of an HvZ branch in the U.S. at Purdue University in Indiana and I am always happy to hear of another branch especially so far away.
Adam Grote Our HvZ is very different to American campus style HvZ. We run in an fairly open park with a few trees, zombies have a 25 second stun timer, and rounds go from 5-30 minutes. We get in a bunch of games in one afternoon -R

Look at the description
Category-education lel
Eh, some of our other videos fall into that category. Forgot to change it for this one.
-Justin
heyyyy, that's pretty- *dead meme*
This is TF2
