"When 50 years ago was in the future." 😂 Good one.

HFY! A spot on vision of now. AI writing, reading and images pollute humanity.

I swear, some of the stories from a lifetime ago must have been written by time travellers :)

Prescient story! Unfortunately, today we're inclined to believe that whatever computers generate is correct.

I think people always have thought that writing something somehow makes it true. So it is written, so it will be done...

When A.I. and robots replace all the workers, writers, artist, cab drivers ect ect. What will people do to make a living?

I imagine something akin to the people living on the Axiom starship in the Wall-E animated movie. :)
But seriously though, that is going to be a real problem for a very large amount of people. Not everyone can "learn to code".

A report on the UA-cam presentation of THE DYING EARTH series by Jack Vance:
There are four of these read on YT. THE DYING EARTH, EYES OF THE OVERWROLD, CUBEL'S SAGA and RHIALTO THE MARVELOUS
qUALITY OF pRESENTATION: All but EYES OF THE OVERWHROLD were read by the same person. EotO was presented very competently. Of the other other thre, the same cannot be said. There are too many aside comments, like on the audio engineering and reading errors and breaks,. There is also periods of dead air with only the badkground music lasting upwards of 2-1/2 minutes. The whole tends to be a bit disjointed and you have to concentrate to follow it rtather than a smooth even slow
Conclusion:The three works should be read again by a competent reader, editor and presenter since THEY DYING EARTH was a major opus in both science fiction and non-Tolkienian fantasy which had a strong fandom and influenced such things as Dungeions and Dragons

      Do I detect a hint? ;)
Unfortunately, the Dying Earth stories are confirmed to be under copyright. I would have loved to read them on here.

@@futurespast-42 The two somebodies have been bad boys. Funny, there was no copyright strikes anywhere. Pity, they would benefit from competent reading

Many science fiction stories are cautionary tales, and some of them turn out to be too close to home for comfort...

The Nazis were aware of the influence of literature on society’s mores; these authors picked up on that.

Not sure if there is any link there between that party and the authors specifically, but the point about literature does seem to hold true. :)
