I remember an old farmer about 16 miles from my little town in southeast Nebraska would put on Threshing Days. He had all the old steam powered tractors going, what a memory. He quit having them 50, 55 years ago & just passed away. I had his granddaughters boyfriend working for me pouring concrete & I got to go see all that equipment in a museum he had made. That is such a great story! I haven’t seen a thresher running since the half century of progress show in Rantoul Illonios 2 years ago. We had people around here 20 years ago doing threshing days but no more. Thanks Phil

We strip till and no till on our farm, had to borrow the neighbors plow! Almost everyone moldboard plowed everything 30 years ago around here, thanks for watching!
The deere plows seem to take a lot of power to pull in my experience, got a 4-18 1350-1450 my dad used to pull and 130 horse wasn't enough unless it was sandy soils😆
I haven't plowed a field in probably 7 years but I have taught a youg guy that started farming how to plow a couple years back . A 5 -16 pulls easy 5 -18 little harder but a 5-20 that will work a tractor . Had a 6-20 and it was all a 7810 wanted fully weighted with fluid about 22,000 pounds . I always wanted to pull it with my 6190R but never did
Those 3208 Cats in the White can put out 240 hp, even though they weren't set that high in the White from the factory. I try to plow my land every 4th year or so. I just bought a 4 furrow White plow like that 6 furrow he has and can't wait to try it out and see how my old White 2-105 pulls it.
I have that 3208 in my MF 1805. Drawbar hp is listed at 162 although engine hp is listed at 210. The hp is made at a high rpm compared to my other diesels.

I have but we use strip till and I feel like I’d be a hypocrite if we plowed 20 acres 🤷🏼
