Hi Andy I've recently started watching your video. myself and the wife love watching I've subscribed to your channel. Keep up the good work mate and the beautiful food love it.
I haven't tried the Aldi ribs but Lidl's were ok. The worst I have ever come across were Sainsbury's from the freezer section, just bones held together with a bit of gristle and very little meat.
Mayflower do a salt & chilli seasoning which gives pretty much the same flavour as those ribs as does the Kerala version. I can’t remember if I got them in B&M or home bargains though? Sous vide get the ribs very tender like those ones from Aldi
Glad you weighed the bone’s Andy its good to know how much meat there is / if the bones had been 300 grams they would have been a rip off but they weren’t so good value 👍👍👍
The problem comes is that a different pack could have 300g of bones. they may be thicker ribs. I bet that you may or should get completely different results on another pack.
Andy mate would you ever go out in your local area reviewing a few spots??? Obviously if that's not your bag, no worries im just wondering but your content us great!! 👍🎉🙌
I am looking at doing that a bit more this year, I’ve done a couple of places but loads more out there 👍🏻 As the channel grows I will do a lot more but juggling work and everything it’s difficult 👍🏻
Great video and kudos for responding to a subscriber's request, Andy. But, for me, it begs the question why?. You buy ribs, fresh fish and seafood, whole poultry or a leg of lamb etc and you know part of the weight's in bone or shell. Goes with the territory. Life's too short, fella. But that's just me🤷.
Don’t know really but when Ian mentioned it it got me thinking, how much do you really get? I had a lot of people in the past saying waste of money because you get more bone than meat, so I suppose I proved a point 😂😂😂 Anyway they are very nice 👍🏻
@@fatandy I was pleasantly surprised by the net weight but they are precooked, so most of the weight loss has happened. Be interesting to see how much fresh from the butcher loses, mate🤔.
@@fatandy I've got a taste for ribs now Andy, and I've got some of those smoker bags. So I think it's a trip down the butchers, then low and slow in't oven in a smoker bag👍.
I do love a rib .. but I buy mine online bulk because I smoke them ,, these are lovely but for a big fella like me I demolish easily lol Cheers andy 😎🍽
Did they use the frozen weight or unfrozen for the 600g I think it was frozen weight and 571g is the unfrozen weight. plus salt weight 6g. total only 577g 571g - bones (162g) 409g meat. but not all ribs are equal. some may have less on. wonder what happens if you got another pack if it would get the same result.
Another great review, Andy! The weight info was interesting👍
Definitely a good experiment 👍🏻
Yeah looking good. I’m actually surprised by how little weight was lost in the end. Great review Andy. 👍
Thanks 👍
Its all lost in the cooking like most processed food water is the weight
Cheers for the shout-out, Andy & a good video to show what you're getting. I'm with you in thinking it's good value for the money 👍
No worries mate 👍🏻

@@fatandy yer I boiled them to start for about half hour, put seasonings on then in the oven for couple hours, covered,on low, turn out delicious! 👌
@@rebeccatayler sounds good bet they were tender

Sounds goods
So going off 100g equals approximately a quarter of a pound that's 16 oz of meat.
👍🏻

It wasn’t a frozen product, it came out of the chilled section, so I would think it was unfrozen but not 100% sure 👍🏻
The weight never includes the packaging. It's illegal.
👍🏻
They do look nice Andy but they do look dry I'd puta little bit of chili ion for me but why not at that price make agood meal
They were nice 👍🏻
The barcodes bigger than the ribs.
😂😂👍🏻
Good day sir. To complete this scientific experiment, you really needed to weigh your turd the following day.
😂😂
I like these ribs, best ribs are Waitrose Memphis Ribs.
Sounds good 👍🏻
👍🏻
I thought u was gonna weigh them after cooking 😂
Yeah I was I messed up 😂😂👍🏻
