I am truly humbled to have came across some of Tomo's originals today. I am disappointing I hadn't heard this earlier, but better late than never.
To hear you blend what my favorite musicians have done, Govan, Lagrène, Martino, Scofield, etc... and create your own style is something galaxies beyond extraordinary. You have inspired yet another (funky) soul.
After watching all of your videos, I need more. Please keep them coming!

素晴らしい演奏ですね。繊細でファンキーなノリは流石です。トモさんは自分のスタイルを持っている数少ないギタープレイヤーの一人です。応援しています。
お言葉ありがとうございます。実はこの３人で音出したのがこのヴィデオの１０分ぐらい前で全くリハもやっていないです（笑）相手を信じて、こんな感じの演奏になりました。そのように言って頂いて嬉しいです。ファンクが好きでブルースも大好きで、ジャズも少し好き。エフェクトは移動のため大きい物が持てないのでペダルも４−５個以上入らないことが条件なんで音作りもきわめてシンプルです。このステージは、Boss Blues Driver WAZA pedal のみでアンプは、Roland Blues Cube Artist 2-12です。

Great question! This was so amazing. Actually this performance was the first ever that I never rehearsed this song with the band I was suppose to perform. NEVER! So I really trusted John & Nik... The reason so spontaneous and musical because we never rehearsed this song.
TomoFujitaMusic thank you for sharing this, it really sounded like never rehearsed before and still so groovy and precise (I guess Nik and John may have listened to the tune a couple of times just before playing, is it something like that?). You're welcome! That one was so special that we never rehearsed or even jam together! This was the first I ever met Nik too. Nik's idea that we were supported to play Blue Note Japan as "Funk Fusion Trio" as new instrumental group. This was for the first time ever we played together. Unfortunately this was the last time. I still can play with Nik... but I really miss John!! He was so sweet!!
