I think some TSA agents are a lot stricter than others. I know for my local airport the lighter and multitool would be a no go. Proud to be a viewer of the battalion content. Keep it coming!
the lighter would have to be empty and the PS Style was made by leatherman directly for tsa approval with them consulting. so after going through make a big stink with them on social media and post the lines they used on their website then name and shame their individual guard. ask for name and badge number.
On a couple of occasions, I've had some of my EDC (or in this case handy items) confiscated by TSA. Completely on me as I overlooked what was in my carry on personal item. Thanks for sharing this list, a helpful reminder for us "busy" people who forget their "handy items" every now and again. Battalion.
Proud to be part of the battalion. If I don't need the pliers in the leatherman, I carry the SAK Jetsetter. I always open all of the tools and never have had any trouble. Well once, in Norway the agent tried to close the scissors and busted the spring.
Have carried a blade less full size multitool thru TSA several times with no issues. I open it up and give it to the agent to see, before they find with the x- ray machine. Lighter has not been a problem. No battalion. Was Navy. Was Squadron. 😉
Just got to CA from FL for the next 2 weeks and ran into this. The Gerber Prybrid X is something else I would recommend. You get the prybar and the ability to buy a small exacto blade once landed. I think any removable blade is super valuable for TSA situations
My wife and I both have Victorinox Classic knives on our keychains, and we've flown a lot with them in our carry-ons. And I've never needed a pry tool when I'm on vacation. And I throw hotel matches in my backpack when I get to my destination. Battalion! Semper Fi.
excellent. cutting tool, communication / illumination tool, fire tool, and a scribe tool. battalion. im thinking about buying one of those benchmade knives as i dont have any such steel knives.
This EDC pocket dump is Very useful video. Thanks for sharing to the entire battalion! Also the this video made me subscribe. Because of the fact it is a useful edc knowledge. Not just another video about edc.
Great content! Happy to have found your battalion content. Already have a few Amazon lists going for various EDC kits inspired by your vids. Keep them coming man.
Travel usually puts you in unfamiliar environments when you need your tools the most. Have lost a few Swiss Army knives forgetting to take them off my key ring XD. Gerber also makes a tsa friendly mini multi tool. Thanks for the good ideas! #edc #Battalion #stayready
I am very new to EDC and even newer to the Battalion. I have watched several EDC videos from several different people, and I must say, Marine-X is the best! I will be flying at the end of the month, the first time since 2009. My last trip thru the airport cost me a very special Swiss Army Classic SD Pocket Knife. It was so small, I didn't think it would be an issue. I was heartbroken. So I am very nervous about this trip and what I may have on me. Thanks so much for the help and thanks for all of your great info an insight you share in your videos. I just wish I got involved with EDC 50 years ago (lol). But as they say, better late in life, then never...
I have something similar in my "man purse"...i have a small Maglite Solitaire, a Gerber Shard, a pen(can't remember the name...nothing flashy) and a notepad a buddy got me from the Canadian Army...he had a ton of them...being a clerk. Just leave my knife at home if I travel...but a SAK might be a decent addition...the Jetsetter doesn't have a blade. Battalion represent!
Thank you for another well thought out, concise video of some very helpful information and recommendations. Those of us new in the Battalion should spread the word!
I have carried with me one of those small utility knives and just removed the blade Once I am at a destination you can usually buy a 5 pack of blades or $1. Brigade
I just traveled for the first time in a long time and went with empty pockets because I did not know what was ok to take. Thanks for the video....... Battalion
Battalion- Excellent content regarding the allowable items that can be carried for travel. I was traveling frequently prior to the pandemic but, have not since. However, I’m anticipating to resume during this summer. For EDC, I have a Maxpedition “Beefy” that resides in my glove box for my key essentials and a Maxpedition FR-1 pouch for basic first aid items that is kept in the cargo area of my SUV. I just acquired a Maxpedition “Mini” which I’m now assembling for EDC carry. I’m planning to also utilize this for traveling so this will be a dual purpose kit that is easily interchangeable.
Battalion - Great Channel..... One thing I saw you missed was your keychain container that you keep a $20 in. I though that was a great idea when I saw that!
I'm not much of a fan of planes but the wife and I have been planning a trip which requires a flight. Good to know there's still a good functional EDC that is TSA approved cause boy oh boy can they be strict. Thank again man!! BATTALION!
Great Ideas! I always like to have some cordage if possible. change shoe/ boot laces with any sort of more durable cordage. a little gorilla tape wouldn't be out of the question either. I use spent gift cards to store a small amount of tape that i can easily have in my pocket. Hope this was helpful to the Batallion!
Great video of info for the BATTALION. I fly a lot and I’ve all different kinds of experiences with EDC being confiscated. I like to carry a survival pen - one that’s Gardner and can be used as a weapon as needed. It’s a useable pen, but I’ve had some TSA confiscate them while others haven’t. I also carry a zip tie or two, because those can come in handy. And a small battery pack for emergency recharging. Keep up the good work Marine. Semper Fi.

I work for tsa, if they try to confiscate something ask them what the SOP says
Functional organized battalion ready! Thank you.
I had one of the card tools confiscated by TSA. Made it through security with no problem in Oklahoma but got it taken away flying out of Ohio.
Glad to be a part of the BATTALION!
I would be proud to carry the Battalion all the time.
For the TSA friendly BATTALION, add a Leatherman Tread on your wrist, I've worn it all over the world through airport security.
Battalion ALLDAY!!! Best EDC content on UA-cam 🔥🔥🔥 Battalion
To me, it's difficult to really tell if the TSA will allow many things these days. Proud of the Battalion

Another great "out of the box" EDC video. Great information. This is why I am PROUD to be part of the Battalion! Keep it up!
That big idea design pen is nice! Battalion
Proud to be part of the battalion. If I don't need the pliers in the leatherman, I carry the SAK Jetsetter. I always open all of the tools and never have had any trouble. Well once, in Norway the agent tried to close the scissors and busted the spring.
Great ideas! I think that lighter is awesome. Battalion
Great vid. Thanks for letting me be part of the battalion!
Another satisfied member of the battalion! Thanks!
Have carried a blade less full size multitool thru TSA several times with no issues. I open it up and give it to the agent to see, before they find with the x- ray machine. Lighter has not been a problem. No battalion. Was Navy. Was Squadron. 😉
I am quite confident Benchmade is my favorite knife. I especially like the Battalion.
Great video!! Love being part of the Battalion!!
Great option. TSA definitely varies in strictness and lack of knowledge when they just take a guess on what they think isn’t allowed
Sick video. That’s a good setup for the tsa. And that knife is sick. Battalion!

Nice ideas. The battalion rules!

I did lose two Pocket knives going into the White House... on two different occasions! Dumb... But good thing I tend to carry cheap EDC!
Good gear for the battalion.
The Battalion lives in each of us.
After a long day at work, can’t gts with out watching my fav channel, shout out to battalion!

Man, I definitely thought you were gonna say that was a skeletool and it was TSA aproved. Battalion !

Thanks from the battalion for all your dedication and hardwork!
