- RIP Louie Anderson, (March 24, 1953 - January 21, 2022) was an American stand-up comedian, actor, author, and game show host. Louie Anderson created the cartoon series Life with Louie and wrote four books, including Hey Mom: Stories for My Mother, But You Can Read Them Too, which was published in 2018. He was the fourth host of the game show Family Feud from 1999 to 2002 in its third run and second revival.
Louis was enjoying a sussefull career resurgence for his performance on the FX comedy television series Baskets and Anderson received three consecutive Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series nominations and won once in 2016.
Anderson performed a stand-up show called Louie: Larger Than Life in Las Vegas, Nevada, from 2003 through 2012. The show originated at the Union Plaza hotel downtown, before moving to Excalibur, South Point, and Palace Station hotels.
Dubbed by Comedy Central as; “One of The Greatest Stand-Up Comedians of All Time.” Louie was an iconic comedian for nearly four decades. In this special, Louie presents four up and coming young comics, as Louie put it, "Because I is just want to pay it forward." Louie took a page from his mentor Rodney Dangerfield and payed it forward as Rodney did by giving Louie his first big break, presenting Louie on Rodney's "Young comedians special" in 1984 along with an unknown Andrew Dice Clay and Sam Kinison, wow what a contrast. Comedy Central dubbed Rodney "one of the greatest clean comedians of all time."
And yes for those who noticed, this was posted a year ago, but out of great respect for our dear friend we updated the thumbnail and title, rest in peace Louie, you made us laugh and brightened out day and you will be missed us and by millions of your loyal fans.

Rest in Peace, Louie Anderson, you're one of the greatest stand-ups ever, i laughed at so many of routines on Sirius XM, thanks for making me smile on the way to work, sir, and i'll still listen to them.
Hi Lily my family saw you at the majety comedy club in Hermosa Beach about 35-40 years ago the bartender drop Six beers on my sister's head sitting in the front row by accident and Lewis was talking about her hair and ask her questions about wish you were too busy for the whole show was revolved around the six beers and launched on her head and they had a whole place was roaring through so much laughter and my parents become somewhat good friends with Lily over the years
Absolutely funny and true stuff.
To bad he not continue cartoon 😢. 😔
Who here remembers the "Louie Anderson Show"?
I do and I looked forward to seeing every episode!😂😁
I grew up on that, really great show. I miss him so much, no vulgarity in hes comedy. Rest in peace Louie.
😭😂
Life with louie?
Google "watch online cartoon"
I grew up with the cartoon life with Louie, where much of his standup was put into cartoon form.
I remember this guy the first time on Carson. His first visit. He was a knockout. This is close to that. He is cute, self deprecating and funny with real life experiences. He speaks conversational to you. Thanks utube.
I don't think a knockout is quite good enough I think you have to kill to be considered good a knock out .....m e h
You get busy with life and then see Louie has passed away.
Ive spent days re-living his specials and appearances. Thanks for everything, Louie.
Louie passed on today. Rest In Peace. He’ll be greatly missed.
@@Strawman333 His hot me hard. Such a good guy.
Clean humor thats timeless
I know it's kinda nuts, but I've been watching a lot of Louie's old clips and while I'm watching I forget he has gone on ahead.
Thanks Louie, for being side splittingly funny and one of the most congenial entertainers I have ever enjoyed.
He is one of the greatest stand-ups of all time and I don’t think he has ever been given his dues from the population at large. I hope sometime we can get another special or something from him so a new generation can enjoy his masterful storytelling
I remember the cartoon he had on fox.
What year were you born? Because he cam in during the 80’s comedy boom. Had lots of specials and had his own Saturday morning cartoon series.
His peers definitely recognize him. He's been sang praises by countless of A-list comics. He is one of the all-time greats, whether the public at large realize it or not.
RIP we'll never get another one like him
Baskets is a masterpiece
I love hearing the audience laughing hysterically at Louis Anderson's jokes. It brings me joy.
No f-bombs, no vulgarity, just good clean fun. Thanks buddy and rest in peace
"Sorry, but I can't stay long. I'm between meals." RIP Louie.
Yay Louie we love you
@@louieperryanderson5751 hanging in there. Thank you. I hope your doing good always.
I bet Noah remembers his advice now. RIP Louie!
Noah is 38 by now, getting close to the big 5-0
"Click click, when did I start clicking" 🤣🤣🤣🤣 I'm crying over here
When I was a kid there was a cartoon called "life with Louie" I still laugh thinking about some of those shows
I need more time! Indeed you did sir . Rip to one of the greats and a wonderful human being.
I never say goat but Louie is one of the greatest. He could make a joke out of a goat. God bless Louie
I used to love his animated version of himself...just a simple man with his own style of humor. Self depreciating laughs
Louie you were a big boy! We miss you back home in Minnesota.
If anyone deserves a brazilian dollar Netflix special, it’s this guy
Is that the Netflix in Brazil? 😂😂😂
What does that mean?
@@garrettjones6793 I'm assuming they meant bazillion and auto correct was auto correcting
Ikr he is the funniest person I have ever seen
Is a Brazilian dollar a lot?
"Life with Louie" was my favorite show when I was little. Life will never be the same without Louie. Rest in peace Louie Anderson, you will be missed.
here in Georgia (country), its popular too. i mean really popular,
I like how he said “after 50 you can’t open anything”
I am only 36 but I have lived a rough life and have had many injuries and my body has been through a lot.
Well I had to cut a chain with a pair of bolt cutters, and it was not a thick chain.
Well I managed to cut it but in the process injured my bad wrist and it’s been bothering me for weeks.
I mean this was a simple physical action and I damn near broke my wrist doing it lol.
I feel like I am 58 when I am 36.
I am regretting wanting to be a stunt man as a kid and doing everything I could to injure myself to toughen myself up. Lol
Aww man I'm in my 30s and I'm clicking already...
Is your butt on fire yet?
RIP Louie YOU WILL BE MISSED..
Yes he is missed .
Rest in peace Louie
Impeccable timing and delivery. Pure genius. The last of the greats of my generation comedy.
R.I.P Louie Anderson
I met him one time at my work place. He asked me if I had a match to light his cigarette. I didn’t recognize him until I said no and he yelled out “What the hell kind of place is this?!” I looked up and it was him. He was alright. RIP big guy.
Louie smoked? Good Lord!
I read he didn’t smoke…….
@@jackiemehoff8239 Where did you read this?
I love you Louie❤ you were greate!!! Rest in peace, my heart with you😔
I'm sure glad I got to see Louie at Bally's in Las Vegas in 1996. He talked about gamblers and his late night craving story about seeking out pickled Beets. It was hilarious!
That is pure classic comedy. This guy goes from good natured family fun into dark wit so smoothly.
Well done Louie, take your rest.
RIP G.O.A.T 🐐 u will continue to make people laugh for generations to come
You did need more time, Louie. Wish you could have gotten it. You were one or two of the funniest people that ever lived. 😉
Louie never failed to make me laugh... mostly at myself. RIP Louie. You are missed.
I have to be honest here , they are laughing their ass’s off up their. A Legend. ❤️
🇨🇦❤️🙏🏻
Up "THERE."
RESPECTFULLY
It’s funny, I never found him as funny as this when he was younger. As he aged it seemed like he changed his manurisms a bit and he just makes me laugh more now. His most recent material is golden.
His Thanksgiving jokes were hysterical! His mom would exclaim at the end of dinner, “Oh, the cranberries!” He’d move the mike stand in front of him to his side, “Does this help?” Always laughing at himself to make others happy! Love you since you were on Johnny Carson, Louie
🥰😘
Louie could take the simplest things and make them funny. Its refreshing to not hear all the profanity . Its hard to find a comedian thats clean. To me someone really has talent to make people laugh without resorting to calling folks, bit*hes, or ho*s. I loved Louie the first time I ever saw him. Am right now listening to his Audio Book about him wtiting letter to his deceased mother. Its called "HEY MOM", and its not a long audio book 5 or 6 cd's but funny and heart warming at the same time. I knew he had 10 other brothers and sisters, he was number 10 out of 11 kids. But get this, his mom had 16 kids, she lost her first child in birth, and lost 2 sets of twins in birth. He said they were poor, so back then I can imagine the pressure his dad was under to provide. Maybe thats partly what caused his dad to drink.. Anyway RIP LOUIE, YOUR TALENT ALWAYS SHOWED THRU..
RIP Louie! Another one of the greats, gone too soon! You will be missed!
Was so happy to see him in Vegas a few years ago. He dropped by Carrot Tops show and opened for him. My hubby and I drove home so happy feeling like winner's because we got to see Louie. Never forgot that special moment. RIP Louie, you are loved.
Just found out about this guy and Holy shit I'm glad
Oh boy Ricky, Glad you found him he's a treasure, You have some catching up to do, If you haven't seen it yet UA-cam "This is not happening" Louie shares two true stories about his family, his stories are pure gold.
I remember being a kid watching his cartoon "Life with Louie" I'm in my thirties already clicking 😆
Flawless delivery, and relatable comedy. Absolutely the best!

Holy Sh^tballs! He is so damn funny. We lost a giant in the world of comedy. He was a totally clean comic too.
I Love him so much! He makes me laugh so hard!
I live in a suburb south of Chicago. Saw him at KJ Riddles in Tinley Park. A few of us saw him probably more than 15 years ago but I always thought he was funny and he put on a great show. We were laughing the whole time. Sorry he passed away.
Thanks Louie just what I needed today rest in peace buddy🤣🤣🙏
Binge watching Louie since 1/22/22. So I go to another comic and in 20 minutes I'm back watching Louie. He beats them all. Rip Louie-The Best!
Best opening line for your first national t.v appearance. " I can't stay very long, I'm in between meals so please bare with me. Lol. One of my favorite comedians of all time. RIP Louie, your the greatest!
I remember his debut in Johnny Carson. Another great line from then was his saying the audience members were probably thinking “I wonder if he knows he’s that fat”.
We all go someday,it's always too soon !RIP
Probably the most likable and consistently funny comics of all time!
I saw him perform in person and I was on the floor laughing! He is soooo funny!
love this man - such a great comedian
It took me until recently to realize how great this guy was. I just didn’t get how brilliant he was when I was a kid.
Same here. Didn’t realize.
So much funny stuff we can relate to. Thank you Louie! Rest in loving peace brother.
I feel like...he's my favorite uncle. And he tells me all these funny stories. Very cool......
Rest In Peace old friend from your stand up, movies, and cartoon you were always funny in your own way
I saw him in Las Vegas in 2002 and laughed the entire show.
I always liked Louie .. Watch him for years . his family. Life was funny

The best stand up comedian ever!
I remember my sister and her husband going to see Louie when he was doing a show in my hometown! They had backstage passes and after the show, they went downstairs to the lounge and sitting on the sofa was Louie himself! He welcomed them in,was very friendly and they chatted and got his autograph! A simply wonderful, kind man they said he was! R.I.P. Louie Anderson!👀👀😢😢
RIP Louie 🙏
I actually watched Louie's 1st appearance on the Tonight Show (starring Johnny Carson). I still remember the impact.
It was 1980 I believe. Shandling made his debut on the Csrson show that year as well.
Thanks Louie! Restorative to have such a good laugh!
I grew up watching his animated series lol

Farley, Hinson, this man, Pryor, so many more but these were off the charts with humor. The dramatics they displayed was top notch. Sad to see em gone
