I have been looking forward for this video for a while! I'm fascinated by how Novak seems to steamroll everyone on tour, esp when we all think the margins in tennis is so thin and he does so comfortably. Depth, depth, depth.
I'm glad you enjoyed it. Novak continues to remain on top even as the rest of his peers struggle to separate from the depth of the pack. Part 2 to come :) -Jason Frausto
@@TennisUnleashed i always hit the baseline during rallies. It's only when I get pressured that makes it difficult to hit with depth. I also noticed that there is a lot of variation with Novak's forehand and backhand. Sometimes flat, sometimes spin or angles
All good observations. Novak definitely "mixes up" his shots to do different things for different results. So many other players are just one speed these days because that probably suits their game best. Novak isn't limited to playing big only, he can mix it up as well because he has the ability to defend off those mixers if things go wrong. Many of the younger players don't have those defensive skills and are locked into attack only. -Jason Frausto
Great video as usual, it always amazes me how Tsitsipas looks invincible Against most top players and when NOLE is on the other side of the net he makes him look like a rookie 🔥👍
I don't play tennis but I do like watching it on TV. I understand the strategies so much better because of your analysis. Thank you so much or your analysis of the games
Appreciate the words. He would definitely be a Grandmaster......there just don't seem to be any other grandmaster level players right besides maybe Nadal at Roland Garros. Djokovic looks unstoppable right now. -Jason Frausto
True and you're spot on. He just knows how to win matches unlike other players. If he was a Chess player, he would definitely be a Grand Master (GM). 🤣🤣🤣🤷🤷🤦🤦
@@TennisUnleashed , Great stuff! Regarding chess, Novak and his former coach Boris Becker used to play chess before matches. Serbia and Eastern Europe have a long tradition of chess played at the highest grand master levels and recreationally. Our Church in NYC used to host chess tournaments in the Church Hall.
he is one of the greatest returners of serve. He is certainly the best returner of serve of his generation (although Andy Murray and Rafael Nadal are also excellent returners). Connors in the 70s/early 80s, and Agassi in the 90s, were also excellent returners.
@@TennisUnleashed thank you for saying, that's really unbelievable but how come it's possible for a 30+ year old to be better? Is it the same with the other big 3?

Is Novak the greatest returner of all time? Who would you rank as better and why?
-Jason Frausto
Yes. No one. Are the answers respectively.
I think the first response is a winner ;)

S. Tsitsipas'one handed backhand is his Achilles' heel.
Please tell me who is better? Djokovic in 2011-16 or 2018-23???
2018-2023. Almost no holes in his game at all. Nowhere to run, nowhere to hide.
