Played some Arma 2 way back and longed for it on console, it’s great to have a taste of ARMA finally here. I gotta say these tips won’t necessarily improve your general gameplay but absolutely make you a better team player, hugely underrated and I’d have had no idea about these things without the vid. So thank you, will be sure to load up Humvees with Radios and change my Platoon icon!

Tip 1: its not COD, dont play it like COD. Tip 2: PURPLE points are the main points you need to win. Tip 3: if someone is trying to explain somwthing to you in game - they probably know more than you do, listen to them.
I just got the game as a PS5 player. I must admit I couldn't imagine this being any good on console because people on console mostly don't communicate a lot. But I was wrong!! I joined some awesome servers were every single player I met had a mic and communicated. Man I love this game and I hope it never gets cheaper or even for free because then all the idiots will download it and then we are screwed 😅
Radio backpacks pull from nearby supplies. If you put them in a supply depot and turn on custom kits you can infinitely spawn in with loadouts. When an official game starts i immediately go find the enemy MOB and mess with the logi runners and stop them from advancing, sometimes the enemy has a spawn near a depot so ill put a radio there and harass them. Radio backpacks can also be teleported to(theres only a video or two explaining how) it will teleport you with a kit and wont take up any spawns/supplies.
Feel lucky that i told you. Me and my friends are one of the only squads that know how to use backpack radios to their full potential. I wouldnt post that comment on a large creator vid cause i want it to be more unknown lol

Use cover and like run and gun like it's Cod or Battlefield.Theres no bunny hoping,slide cancelling etc.Sneak around using cover and stop now and again to listen to footsteps and enemy proxy chat.Also with radio packs.Try and deploy them near a load of supplies near enemy base.You get more spawns even with your loadouts
no you can do it with the large living quarters. I think the large one just allows more areas to spawn than the small one. Both give a spawn supply discount to the base

For some reason I do not get the prompt to set up the command truck on my server. Is there any server settings I need to have or am I not meeting certain requirements to set it up?
Once im not busy, im most likely gonna buy it today. And ive been a huge fan of arma 3. And arma reforger and im glad The devs are allowing consoles to have mods workshop too i wish dayz had mods workshop :( And the devs would have more people buying the game, but overall Arma reforger is a nice pace from battlefield, cod and other games
Great video! Two question from PS5 player. When I Pick Up radio from arsenal does it work for teammates respown automatic, or do I need to press something? Can I take few bots with me and command them to help me retake enemy base?
@GUNBOAT-1 Yes! But if I carry radio on my back (as squad leader) then my team (from squad) can spawn direct on me? Is it automatic when radio is on my back ( or first I need to do something?)
How much supplies does it cost to spawn on it? If you drop supplies near will it give you more spawns? (Edit just watched your latest video which answered this perfectly.) Also does the radio regenerate supplies slowly in the same way a base within radio range does?
Bro I spent all day creating scenario to practice with friend and I can’t even invite him. We don’t know what to do if we go in multiplayer, we probably will be kicked from server for running like minions around

@ yeah I was wondering if you’ve done it 😂 it works pretty well, you can also put supplies in the humvee and then when your radio runs out of supplies you can top it up.

Great video. Would be cool with a ‘this is how you should/could Play the first couple of hours or so’. Im new to the game on ps5 and the learning curve is so steep. Would have wished that the game helped new players in much more. Seems like a cool game but afraid that many Will drop out because of the ‘figure it out yourselves theme the game got going ☺️
To be fair it’s a milsim, it’s expected. I think we get enough help as it is, think about real life and then what you can do in game… i think gamers are too used to getting babied nowadays especially the cod players. Plus I suggest switching from ps, i was a ps player for more than 16 years and they have 0 customer loyalty.
i'm used to the Battlefield series...i knew this wasn't that and while i am loving this game, i still at the "learning the buttons" stage. The ARMA series has always been something i've wanted on PS5 so i am absolutely loving that we have this game
Drop your radio - Side chat can be really annoying most of the time unless you are eavesdropping on enemy team with an enemy radio. If you team up with somebody - than go and get yourself one. Most people can't just have a means on communications, since they mostly can't use it without overflowing the channel.
@@GUNBOAT-1 I've already tried spotting over radio and unless you have somebody waiting for your report. Than your spot will mostly meet with deaf ears :( Other way around - I only managed to get some informations only from ENEMY radios, friendlies are way 'clumsy' while trying operating radios

pull up directly to to the ammo supply arsenal with the driver seat as close as you can get the vehicle. then open your vicinity and open the LMV inventory by clicking on it then open the ammo supply inventory and drag ammo in. Im not a console player so im unsure if this works but give it a shot
I've been playing a few months now, and still had some good tips, but please put a disclaimer before ever mentioning spawning AI. They usually lag and can crash the server, so they should only be used if you're playing on a premium server
@ryanshnoztwazzle8605 Sony has never allowed mods on its systems. Many other developers promised mods but after working with Sony it never happens due to "security" issues.

Be careful though! Custom Loadouts will eat your supplies up!

As far as I know its been like that since the begining. Your team can spawn on you infinitly if youre wearing
Me and my pal put guns and attachments in the humvee so when we spawn on the deployment radio we get our weapons

Here’s a tip, use a mouse.
Sony is stuck in the past, why support a company that does not allow you to fully experience "Arma" with no mod support.
Unfortunately yes they are.
@GUNBOAT-1 PC ports are going to be more common moving forward, and why would you get a console where you are restricted to accessing mods.
