He definitely lost the original Jason Kay tone, he smokes, drinks alcohol, smoke marijuana. Just imagine if he had took care of his vocals, he'd still have the smooth boyish tone he once used to have, he'd still be hitting those high pitch, Too Young To Die, When You Gonna Learn etc. I totally miss that tone! But it seems Jay loves this husky tone, he actually said that in an interview...
