I bought a JT Proflex X when I came back to paintball. I love the proflex and love that changing the lenses is so much easier now!
Youre right I heard the Proflex X is much easier but for some reason it was not a fan favorite. I think the look was just too different from the orginal.

I was so disappointed with my CRBN zero pro mask. I’ve used many different masks over the years, profilers, proflex, eflex and never had a single fogging issue. With my Crbn mask, I have to jump through hoops to get it to not fog, including taping up the entire bottom vent between the foam and lenses… and even that doesn’t completely resolve the issue. Overall super disappointed, for the cost of the mask, it should not require any modifications to help with fogging.
Sucks cause I do like most of the gear I have tried from them, especially their pod packs…. But this mask, just nope, hard pass. It’s a huge elephant in the room that nobody wants to talk about… a $230 mask that has a serious fogging issues while almost all the competition do not have this issue (and MUCH less expensive too)

Something that ive found about the crbn is that it is extremely prone to fogging in cold weather. Friend had to pack the vents with paper towels to stop them from fogging

I have been a JT guy from the 90s. But now I use the Dye Axis Pro. Love the comfort of them. Can't go wrong with Dye products.
Its the one mask I havent seen much of. What makes you like them so much?
The view is good. They stay in place when moving. And no fog what so ever. It gets under looked because of the more expensive I5
I have been using a Dye I4 for about 6 months now and had no issues

Started with JT masks in the mid to late 90s I hated the cleaning process and coverage on my fairly large head . Swapped to a Profiler soon as they came out and fairly recently in 2021 switched to an EVS with the same profiler and a clear lens as a backup for woods. The profilers quick swap lenses were quite the innovation when they first came out by todays standards the are kind of a pita but still a solid mask choice to this day.
Profilers are the most affordable mask out and I think they look pretty good. I still have never had EVS but I have heard great things about them.

I've tried a bunch of different mask option but have always went back to the jt proflex and have stuck with it for the last 3 years.
Despite the lens debacle theyre a hard mask to beat.
We had that cheap mask at our field. We actually had to ban masks that weren't paintball masks. Their lens broke on the field. Luckily they didn't get hurt.

Using an eflex right now (used to use a proflex). It's totally fine. I like it better than the proflex. I'd go for a crbn one but they cost more than I really want to spend.
I have never used Eflex but they look exactly like proflexes. The Carbon mask are like a mix of proflex and push mask in my opinion.

I play paintball and when I play the foam gets so nasty from my sweat how should I fix this?
Back in middle school I had upgraded my mask at some point, just because the ones I had would fog up quickly. I took it out back and sat it on a ledge, shot it one time and a chuck of the face mask snapped off, I has been wearing that mask for probably 6 months, it was kind of terrifying.
How is the coverage on the carbon zero like when taking hits? Is it too flexible?

I think the most dangerous part of the sport is when you core sample your barrel and the tank can sometimes hit you in the face
Rockin the Dye I5 at the moment, consider changing to a VForce Grill 2 but the colors atm. doesn't impress me... or picking up a proflex

@MattTheGymRat I would have to say probably the quick adjustment for the head strap and it just feels the most comfortable to me it's very easy to clean as well.
CMD. They're a good option for people with glasses that don't like the echo and size of the EVS.
I do see alot of people using these with glasses. Are they marketed as glasses friendly?

shocker, the $16 mask from a website with basically no regulation isn't safe to wear. I wear either a Dye i5 or and bunkerkings CMD mask.
How do you like the CMDs compared to the i5s?
@@MattTheGymRat I really like both, I've mainly been using the CMD because it is slimmer and feels better while playing speedball. The i5 I mainly use as backup or let my dad use it if he comes and plays.
Proflex is the only mask.

I wore a JT Proflex for quite a while. Picked up a Proflex X for my loaner setup and holy shit, the lens change on the X is amazing. The original Proflex had me swearing and ready to whip it right out the window. I still have my Proflex but I wear surgical gloves when I swap lenses because otherwise I will smudge it with fingerprints. JT Proflex X for the win!
I never knew about the proflex X until recently but from what I know a lot of people didn't like them. Not sure why?
@@MattTheGymRat only thing I can think of is the front of the mask is rather stiff; when you shoulder your marker the mask bumps into the tank. I fixed that by trimming a little bit off the bottom with a utility knife and now I have no issue with it.

That's a good question but I would like to think the mask itself is unsafe in all so I just wouldn't even think about wearing it.
I have a CRBN SLD and Zero Pro, wouldn’t choose anything else. I also own three Jt, HK SLR and BK CMD. CRBN is still the best

I don't. I actually don't own a lot of paintball guns. Most of the ones you see I borrow. If you're looking for markers I always suggest Lonewolfpaintball.com but my friend Alex at i75paintball.com has some used ones as well.

I used to ref paintball for many years, I always tell players to get a decent mask, and swap out your lenses every year. Make sure it has a ANSI certification. Old lenses will dry out and crack and repetitive hits will go through. The mask should cover your ears and chin too. Those airsoft players with sunglasses will eventually lose a tooth. Don't be that guy.

You're entitled to your opinion. They did sponsor the video but I myself am not affiliated with them in any other way. I simply put them through the test and gave my opinion. I will say the reason they got a 9 out of 10 in the first test was for the fog I have had with them previously. Also I said the foam is not as comfortable as the JT, I didn't say I disliked it. And the bunkers aren't mine, they haven't left that field in 3 years 🤣
