String lights are so popular. I finally invested in them and can't believe the difference it made in my backyard. Even accents the pool. Love that I did this. Love your videos and all the expertise you are willing to share with us.
I love your videos. I am thinking about buying a new house. The ones I see need some hardscaping. Being from Texas outdoor kitchens are popular. I will be getting someone to design it. Thanks for the inspiration. Keep up the videos
I so much appreciate these videos. I’ll be reviewing each one again as I share with my husband and we decide what to do with our 1/3 acre CA lot that desperately needs help. You’ve shared a ton in this series. Great job. All of your projects are beautifully executed.

Nice!! I’m just not a fan of string lights. Lol I change the subject when my wife says go get them lol. During day looks like bunch of clothing lines. IMO lol.
Hmmm - yep - kind of does.... Lately, to get extra outdoor light - we've added some table tiki-torches to dark niches. They're 5 bucks (Target $4.99) & give lots of light - looking like campfire lighting and not so commercial. The pole tiki-torches also complement the setting. Just and idea. Thanks for commenting MO Madness! Happy Times this Summer!
Checking in from Nova Scotia! We are essentially blowing up and levelling our backyard after the previous owners cut corners and did things incorrectly. We’ve been watching your videos for inspiration! So many amazing projects but not enough space to put them in our suburban backyard! Keep these awesome videos coming!
The best lighting shots you posted seemed to carve out the destinations without overpowering them. I love when the light almost trails off before being picked up by a new destination. Or when a light helps something of interest pop, like the under-story of a mature tree, or as you said a water feature. The 6:15 example seems to have it all. I'd invent celebrations just to have a party there. -- What string light brand do you recommend?
Thank you Mike! Here is what I would recommend www.bigfrogsupply.com/products/unique-lighting-systems-bistro-lights-outdoor-living-series?variant=37798495092908¤cy=USD&gclid=CjwKCAjwlYCHBhAQEiwA4K21m8UtPWUj8H-IDX8e0NYHMPXpI54uWYoNmmn-iMPuQbUvCtmjAAR9LRoCfX4QAvD_BwE
Just wondering Do you recommend any solar landscaping lights that really give off lighting like the electrical ones or just close enough to it? I want something to illuminate the trees.
No sorry. I would not recommend solar light. They do not do a good job of lighting up the space at night. Just invest in a middle of the road low voltage system. You will be much happier with that.
I love this series! Wish you were near me as I'd get you to come help with my backyard. (I'm in Canberra, Australia).
