"Why would you heat wave" followed by "How much is this gonna do to two resisted targets?"
He was thinking the same thing 😂
and then that shit WORKED
His reaction to that double ko was gold😂
This is by far the best regulation in ages. So much variety. It's not just all Calyrex rubbish. Glad to see otherwise overshadowed mons get some time in the light
Bro does not know 💀
To be fair we replaced Calyrex rubbish with Archaludon rubbish....but I'd say it's a bit more fun all things given
honestly the variety is pretty similar, rillaboom, pelliper and amoongus are still everywhere, gholdengo, archaludon, annihilape and ursaluna are the new restricteds, and compared to reg g there's actually less archetypes since each viable restricted had multiple good teams while now there's just rain, sun and psyspam dominating. the one amazing thing about reg h imo is no urshifu, not getting your water resists cleanly ohkoed through protect by tera water urshifu is nice
Just because the pokemon variety is good doesn't mean there's good team variety. It depends on what the primary strategies are, and unfortunately, the majority of what's good is either rain or sun or psyspam/tr or annihilape. Reg G actually did a good job of promoting synergies and allowing really niche picks to succeed because of the stability of its backbone with Incin/Rilla/Urshifu core. Reg H is a ton more chaotic, which is fun, but once people figure out the genuine strat it'll probably get locked into something revolving annihilape/archaludon/dondozo. Just the very fact that tatsudozo teams are back is a nightmare in itself.
that was the most foul first turn of a video 😭😭
Bro a specs fire pledge next to a chlorophyll venusaur is actually super nasty i love it
I was just thinking about this! Been a while since I've seen pledge moves do anything, but this regulation seems perfect for it to resurface, given how valuable so many of the starters are.
Turn one will haunt that opponents dreams for life

did the math, that Heat Wave was the equivalent to a 911 base power spread move
edit: check replies for correct math
I’m getting 962 base power
95 x 2 (tera stab) x 1.5 (sun) x 1.5 (solar power) x 1.5 (specs) x 1.5 (helping hand)
Which becomes 95 x 10.125 = 961.875.
Applying the 0.75x for spread, it’s hitting each target at 721.40 effective damage.
Let me know if I got the math wrong somewhere.
@@ToasterPizzaFun you're right, i thought heat wave was 90 base power not 95 lol
@@senpai2.054haha all good. I think we both got the point across that the number is obscenely strong. The power of multipliers is crazy.
Just out of curiosity, I did the same thing for Miraidon just to see what numbers it hits:
Electro Drift 130 x 2 (Tera stab) x 1.5 (electric terrain) x 1.33 (hadron engine) x 1.5 (helping hand) x 1.5 (specs) hits an absolutely bonkers **1,167** base power. Ridiculous. No wonder that thing won worlds.
To be precise it won worlds with tera fairy, but still. One of the most broken mon of all time
As a Charizard enthusiast, this is some of the most demonic damage I've ever seen without a mega evolution or gigantamax
that first battle's first turn damage...damn
I might look into that team XD
Fastest click of my life Chorizo the goat
Other than Fire Pledge on Charizard, this was the exact moveset and items I ran on Charizard at the 2023 Orlando Regional. Granted, it was Regulation F and both Urshifu and Prankster Rain Dance Tornadus ruined my day (also my first tournament ever, probably a factor), but I absolutely ran it because I could 1 shot Urshifu if my opponent didn't predict my extremely predictable play and/or outspeed my Charizard(I did not know about Tailwind before this tournament).
Edit: I was wrong about the moveset. I also ran Scorching Sands instead of Overheat on the Charizard.
Moxie boosted explaining the 1 hour video reminded me of the old Wolfe videos where it was basically unedited streams
Yeah, that was an exciting game, here was my thought process-"Wow I'm playing Moxie Boosted, wow, my team is trash against Whimsicott Sun, better bring 2 sashes in the front ¯\_(ツ)_/¯"
ggs anyway
I got owned gg
@@MoxieBoostedBattlePass I think you were unlucky with the heat wave miss, hope to see you on the ladder again soon

As Steve Harvey once said,
“KEEEEEEILL”
A heat wave off this thing is crazy, I just OHKO’d an incinaroar with a sun boosted, helping hand boosted, heat wave
I would personally have swapped out Fire Pledge for Scorching Sands. Gives you a massively powerful ground type to hit stuff like Archaludon with.
The real reason why GF made this format
NAH THAT FIRST GAME WAS DANGEROUS
Marcos you Yu-Gi-Oh'd in that 3d game.
My memory of Golisopod might be cooked, but did your logo always have him looking like a baked pie?
love seeing the longer video length!
Imagine bringing 2 steel types to a sun team match
Why no encore on the volcarona in the last game? you swapped to torkaol instead when it quiver danced
I came up with something similar but tera dark zard with terablast to deal with psyspam. Also Murkrow to set up sunny day instead of whimsicott because I preferred to go with Rillaboom for a fake out mon as opposed to running 2 fire types.
Is this a fun regulation or will I just run into psychic terrain all the time?
Why Venusaur over Lilligant? Lilligant doesnt get Grass Pledge
I for one very much want the Latino goatee.
Game 1 couldn’t have broken pelipper’s sash because Indeedee had it
I would love to build this team. What's the IV and EV the teams?
YEAH THIS IS WHAT IM TALKING AB
Did they upload the team to pokepaste ?
What’s the pokepaste for this team
Imagine a special version of coaching targeting that Charizard. Call it advising lol
Tera grass solar beam Charizard is also a menace
Did you ever get the paste?
No wait don’t do this to me I still have to finish the chestnaut video on the second channel 😭
how do you feel about delphox?
where is the paste?
Tried this team and completely lost almost every match on showdown haha Im just that bad, I don't know the EV's tho from just looking at the team might've made a difference
gen 9 has made multiplier stacking way too broken, i checked and that turn 1 heatwave had a 6.75 times boost on it not counting stab or the spread decrease, so it's a 607.5bp stab spread move. in previous gens this sort of stacking wasn't that viable, but with tera and the ruin mons in the game along with crazy overtuned offensive mons it's now so easy to do this that it's often the best way to teambuild which is really boring. singles has a similar issue, basically every offensive mon is now a wallbreaker since with their crazy stats, high bp moves and access to tera they can deal so much damage to their "checks" that they beat them even by spamming a resisted move, that kind of power used to come with significant drawbacks like slaking's truant or awful stats. i do like tera, the ruin abilities and other multipliers since on paper they make the game more complex, but when most games devolve into multiplier stacking p*ssing contests it's just not interesting at all
i had a team in reg a that would multiplier stack onto ceruledge’s bitter blade. i remember OHKO’ing an azumarill through screens after 1 turn of setup.
that team also had baton pass psychic seed indeedee + av ttar and iron press garg, so you could multiplier stack on spdef too and take CHIP damage from hydro pumps, earth powers, and draco meteors
@@SuperEljafru nice lol, idm stuff like that since it's creative and actually requires some setup which your opponent can stop if they know what they're doing, it's the cringe no setup stuff like tera water surging strikes in rain or the miraidon mouthful that i have a problem with
About the latino goatee, dont do it. Just go solo stache
Can we just take a second and see that peliper in the 2nd game didn't have drizzle! Bro, wtf was that team lmao.
Lmao it did have drizzle tho
Obliterate team that my opinion
