Yes, even shooting the wooden arrows into bag targets, that little lip catches on the bag material. One time, my hand slipped down the length of the arrow and I had the front edge of the feather quill slice into my hand. I try to be more careful now.

I'd like to see how they stand up to a 70 lb compound. Are they solid or high density foam with a center filled with cloth or something?
Yes I do believe they have a different material inside, I definitely would not waste my money once you shoot one side up and you start to turn it. The center is already weekend and you will be blowing through before you know it.
I would recommend the bulldog lifetime target that is truly the best investment for a target you can spend your money on.
