🤠But as a 13 year old
I'm 12+ hours a day 💀
As a 17 year old watching this, I feel myself fading away... see you in 3 years....
I'm 20. I went trough depression since COVID and couldn't spent the last year in high school (Just when high school was getting better). I made the calculations. I went out of high school at 17 and from that things went downhill, and I used to spend a lot of time on the phone or just killing time in the most meaningless way, it took 1 whole year from me of only doing that. 1 year of things that I won't ever remember. But I think despite how much I regret it, I think I'm thankful for that, because it showed me how valuable is time and how much you can do with it.
I'm not telling you this because I wanna vent it on you, I tell you because if I could, I would save myself those 3 years, and use them for something more meaningful. I hope you can do that. Make the most of your time

wow. this video does a really good job putting things into perspective! but something i wanna say is, don't turn the FOMO into a JOMO. (fear of missing out - joy of missing out) its still important to have a social life and to get along with your fellow human beings. and hey, maybe it works out and you all together can find something more fun than just scrolling social media. be it finding hobbies, activities, purpose or maybe just going out for a nice walk in the evening. that's all from me, peace out brothers and sisters!

i have deleted tiktok few months ago, and it was truly my best decision i have made. I dont really watch instagram reels or youtube shorts as much as i used to, so im happy about that. The only reason why would my screen time have alot of hours is because i play pokemon go, but its something that makes you go outside and enjoy the game with people around you so yeah, its pretty nice. Thank you for making this video and saving me alot of time
Hey jak, im 13 and i hav eot say you have really changed my life for the better, thanks so much bro
By the time I’m around 80 I’ll have spent 71,175 hours on my phone. All that time wasted when I could have been productive, spending time with my friends and family, or just enjoying time away from screens. That really hit hard 😭
You can change it.
It's funny that the first thing i did on my phone today was to check my screen time before even seeing this video. my daily average screen time is 11 and a half hours, about 28 and a half years. I've been thinking about quitting social media, and this is a good wake-up call. thank you!!
You watched this video for a reason Max, don’t let this sign go to waste, much love ❤️
yeah its totally worth it
I dont regret my time spent on social media, because all that time is well spent...I search for knowledge - for fun time - for experience - for making money - for alot of beneficial things in my life, so nope...its gonna be regret if someone use social media just for fun only, thats why they gonna regret it but for me if you having fun then its well spent time, its just depend on your goal in life, someone might want to having fun/having purpose/having connection/having wealth..so the better one is ask yourself is it what you really want? just imagine you're in your death bed, what would you want for yourself right now to spent time with..thats your answer..because its subjective..only you know what you want
thank you for spreading positivity
I have had FOMO for most of my life as it is - this video actually touched me so much. I never wanted to spend 4-8 years of my life on nothing but the internet. Thank you.
I’m so glad to hear that bro, make sure you spend it productively, much love ❤️

Thanks ❤ I have 4 hours on my phone. I'm not on tiktok, only on instagram and facebook for work. However, youtube takes a lot of my time. Before internet I watched a lot of TV and now youtube is the new form of TV for me. It hits hard because I'm 38 years old and 4 hours means 7 years and a half of my life. It is a real wake up call for me❤
The best thing I've done 5 years ago was to turn off all apps notifications, only the important I use to communicate is always on, the others I opened it when there's nothing to do, not because there was imaginary pressure.
Yo, I've been watching you for awhile now and honestly, you've helped me a ton with basically just assisting and encouraging me to stop doing some things. Recently I've gotten very busy with having 2 part time jobs at once which I would say has definitely brought my screen time average down a little. However, I believe you've also helped me to bring it down all the way to 2 hours and 24 minutes this past week!!! Which honestly is really impressive for myself. So thanks, keep changing lives man.
Thanks man. Needed to hear this. Running away from our mental lab is ruining dreams and growth.
thanks for this video . People need to stop and think about how these really sneaky apps try to keep pulling us back into them.
Example : why does somone's story have a 24 hours expiry time ?
the people who built this apps can definitely make it stay longer than 24 hours, But it was a deliberate effort for them to design this feature to keep you hooked, so that you keep coming back for more and more updates and trigger the fear of missing out.
Thanks bro i don't exist anymore after watching this

My screen time average is about 3 hours now; which still feels like too much even though it used to be 7 or 8. I’ve got socials deleted and really only use UA-cam; and it’s still overwhelming as hell. I get bored and use it, and despite the good content like this I know after I click off I’m going to watch some more videos that aren’t as impactful just to distract myself. At this point, I don’t have full control and am not living the life I want to at the moment. But… I know I’m on the right path, and I WILL get to where I want to be.
