This is the first time I'm hearing of Molinism. Thanks for this. I have Calvinist friends and we talk a lot about what we believe or don't believe. I struggled with Tulip and have said I think I'm more of a 3/4 point Calvinist. Perhaps I'm more of a Molinist. However, I don't like the labels much. I just want clarity on what I believe and why I believe it. Continually learning and growing with content like this. Thank you both so much. Tim just got a new follower!

This discussion is very clarifying. Making very clear distinctions between the views. Good job by the guest and very awesome mediating by the host.

This video gave me peace. I would often think: then I have no free will, I cannot ask God to save me.

Okay. I want to agree with this but I have a question. If God elects/predestines everything, does that include all the evil? War, rape?

“If you believe you have free will and that God does not force you to do all that you do, and if you believe God knows everything that could happen, will actually happen, and would have happened in any other circumstances, then you are a Molinist” [whether you realize it or not].

Unfortunately, Tim did not offer any meaningful biblical evidences for Molinism, even after being directly asked for those evidences.

Molinism, middle knowledge, libertarian freewill are all philosophical constructs bred from a false premise - that God is sovereign in predestining "everything" that comes to be. When a person tries to FORCE God being Sovereign in predestination into the biblical idea of freewill they come out with libertarian freewill. It's fallacious in its construct. God's foreknowledge means just that - HE KNOWS. It's not "causal" in any way, shape, or form. God's sovereignty means that God is sovereign in His rule over the earth, BUT that men can make freewill choices within the scope of His creation - and be held accountable for them. It's as simple as that. Christians need to get back to letting the BIBLE define God's sovereignty, foreknowledge, and freewill, INSTEAD OF depending on the philosophies of men. Tim Stratton is still not set free from deception if he's a 4 pointer because the entire 5 points are UNBIBLICAL. When you remove 1 point, they all fall. You can't have total depravity without irresistable grace otherwise man isn't totally depraved. You can't have unconditional election without irresistable grace otherwise men aren't elected. You can't have limited atonement without irresistable grace otherwise Christ may have died for someone who chooses not to receive Him. You can't have perseverance of the saints without irresistable grace otherwise men can choose NOT to persevere. Irresistable grace is DEPENDENT on these other false constructs. And yet the entire system of Calvinism is unbiblical. Praying for you and Tim that God will open your eyes to the truth of the heresies of Calvinism.
