Garden Foraging: Pickled Magnolia Flowers

A new pickle for the plate, maybe (it's growing on me actually!)
My Recipe:
360g Magnolia buds (young, not fully opened)
150g white caster sugar
200ml white wine vinegar
1 heaped tsp sea salt

ooh, sounds tasty...I like pickled stuff 🙂. Makes me fancy trying pickled rhubarb or maybe fermented rhubarb... I hear fermented stuff is all the rage these days!

It is. And yes I'm also into fermentation, ever since my first attempt at kimchi. 😀
