I agree with you. I support Tamlin's redemption arc! When I was reading ACOFAS I was thinking, "let me go cook for this man" lol. I felt really bad for him in that book.
I agree! He just needed to mature mentally. He truly truly loves Feyre and I’m glad she doesn’t talk bad about him, she just says he’s not for her. But a lot of readers choose to hate him. lol this entire list of characters need a lot of therapy and I volunteer as tribute 🤭
@@TheMysticalGeekCoach yes! Everything he has done was in the name of love and love makes us do crazy things at times! Readers can be extreme at times when it comes to characters they do not like lol . I do agree, most of the characters would benefit with therapy and healing!
I'm SO GLAD I'm not the only one who feels for Tamlin! Don't agree with his actions, but the guy was doing the best he could with what he knew. And clearly, he feels bad. Tamlin redemption arc all the way!!! I agree with you 100%
Bryaxis! I love that Feyre is befriending all the creepy creatures and Cassian is terrified of it. I wonder if we will see it again?? Cass and suriel definitely S tier yes!!
I love the ranking system - totally relate! 😂 This was highly entertaining! PS: you can go ahead and put Nesta in the S tier - I won’t yell at you, because I agree with that ranking!
I loved the scene when Fayre climbs up the Weavers chimney and gets covered in fat that's settled on the inner walls from cooking humans and then she gets covered in human hair from the roof thatching. The scene made me feel a bit sick but that's why it was so good 😂
Ok enough! I'm tired of not knowing who these cheeseballs are, and after this excellent list plus other videos and TikTok content I'm swayed. I usually dislike romantasy but I'll give this series a go, sir, based on your enthusiasm. As for other Tier Lists, the obvious choice is Mr. Potter et al. Thanks for brightening a dark day.
Please do a tear for best book boyfriends ? You can do a poll and we can send you our fav book boyfriends and you can take the 20 most popular ones and do top 20!!!! And then you tell us what you think about them.
Please can you re-do this when the series completes? I’m hoping for a Feyre redemption and Elain to properly kick some ass! Also we need Nests and the Valk squad to rise 🙌
You know, you made youtube interesting again. So, thank you for that! ❤ And I'm on board with this ranking. I wonder if you're considering doing the same with ToG and CC characters. Would be fun 🤣 (just don't forget Vaughan like SJM did 😂)
I agree with most of this. I think it’s a good ranking. I’m waiting for Lucien to get interesting and also have a redemption arc. Remember Feyre was warned to be careful around him because “There’s a reason he wears the fox mask”. And nothing ever happened with that except he made her trap the Suriel with chicken. So I’m REALLY hoping he lives up to the animal reference.
Loveee the video, I agree on most of it, but Feyre. I love her, I mean, even if she goes all Fae-chick she kinds stays deeply human. She gives everything she has and then suffers from some kind of ptbs. I think thats a very honest take on a female Character. Besides, no one is as badass as Aelin, but you don‘t exactly look at her and think „yeah. That would totally be me“ 😂
Great video, fantastic humor. Pretty much 100% agree with your ratings for all these characters. Do you prefer ACOTAR or Throne of Glass? If you've finished Throne of Glass, that would be fun for the next tier list.
Just wait. Maas ist building a big universe with all her worlds installed as parallel existing worlds. I think Amrens world did become important in another series she wrote and maybe will continue to do so.
Re: Tarquin being 'nice'. He is, but he also drowns hundreds of enemy soldiers on dry land after they surrender because they're unnecessary 😂😂 Dude, if he hadn't flipped and decided to ally with Rhys and Feyre after the book, they would have been screwed 😂 Don't think Rhys has a defence against getting drowned by residual moisture in the air he breathes!
Literally never realized that but Elaine does remind me of bran except I hate bran so much more 😂 Also SOOOO WITH YOU ABOUT TAMLIN. I want him to have a redemption so bad. I pity him. I also feel like elain would be perfect for him because nesta mentions how elain would love the spring court and how tamlin needs a mate to protect and elain likes being pampered and protected And amarantha is definitely s tier villain! Also please please publish this list so we can rank it too!!
I think the thing Mor sees in the the forbidden forrest is Tamlin. Tamlin has gone a bit wild. The last we see of him he's in beast form. Tamlin has had the worst time. Cursed for 49 years. Finds a girl who loves him. Watches her get torchered and die. Then he loses the girl to his enemy. The girl then tricks him and she destroys his credibility. To be fair she gave him the shovel to dig his own grave, but he still did it. He has 3 redemption arcs. He saves Feyra when she's trying to fly, he comes to their aid at the battle and then saves Rhysands life. But he is left to wallow in his destroyed court. He becomes more of a beast every day. This is screaming villain origin story. And if SJM doesn't go down this route, she's done Tamlin dirty. He deserves to be an epic villian. I think it's him in beast form roaming all over prythian.
I would definetly put Emerie and the house of wind in the list. I can't argue with your list. It is yours. I would.have put some in other categories, but there is so much ro come from this series and I'm waiting for it. Elaine has to become interesting at some point. Maas made me like Nesta. I think Maas will acomplish making Elaine likeable at least.
I do want a Tamlin redemption story but maybe not a love story. I want to see him seeking forgiveness from his people and rebuilding the trust in the community.
Nooo I love Elain. I hope the next book is about her as i truly think it'll show the POV of people that are perhaps quieter/thinkers/gentle and always get considered boring whereas they're actually one of the most complex.
😂. This made my day. And I agree. Tamlin should get a redemption arc. And Elain sucks. I hope she becomes the villain! Then she might be interesting. I really like Gwen too.
Azriel is like Batman. Omigosh I can never ‘see’ Azriel the same way again 😂😂😂 I agree we need more information on him. Mysteriously perfect. Yes. And Amren as the wild cat we felt sorry for but we never declawed and she stares at us in judgement 😅 yeah. Yeah.
I have to come on here and vouch for my girl Elaine. So many people hate on her and say she's useless, and yet there is so much we don't know. Also, as a mental health therapist, her feeling unmotivated to do anything, not eating, isolating, etc. are all signs of severe depression. How is it that Nesta, who people love after reading book 5 and tend to forget what an absolute a-hole she is the entire time (even in the end, she still can't just be nice even when she is doing some nice things, she always has to be a b!tch), but Elaine who checks everyone, sets boundaries, forgives and understands everyone is said she has no depth. Not all things are so in your face (like how Feyre and Cassian are), and that doesn't make it less valuable. Also, it's a bit biased that Azriel who basically never talks, is mysterious AF but he's "cool", he's not that different from Elaine. Lastly, so I don't make this even longer lol, my theory is that Elaine is the smartest and most powerful of the sisters, but she pretends to be the sweet one because that is how everyone treats her. I think she sees and knows more than she speaks. We shall see in book 6!
Hard agree to ALL of this!!!! I hate when people say that all of Nesta’s behaviour is so excusable because it’s her trauma and whatever, but they then turn around and call Elain boring because she is exhibiting very VERY clear signs of depression! Elain may not be the most interesting character to me for most of this series, but I refuse to judge her before we actually get a story with her in a more central focus. So far she’s just sort of been there in the background of other people’s stories and until we get a story where she is able to be properly seen and heard by the reader, I’m not judging. (Nesta, I do judge. A LOT. Her behaviour is inexcusable and her “redemption” arc means nothing when she doesn’t change those behaviours, or even so much as apologise to those she’s hurt.)
@ Exactly my point! When people try to excuse others’ toxic and disrespectful behaviors because of their mental health, I the therapist, say “having X doesn’t give them the right to be an a-hole”. The only ones I excuse are the ones who are completely psychotic and 100% out of touch with reality because they legit do not know what they’re doing. But Nesta? Yep. And if we never would’ve gotten her story, no one would like her still!
You and I are 99% on the same wavelength lol I was like "Why is he including the Wyrm??" The 1% is that I would put Nesta at the top, as I liked her from the beginning. I would probably move Tarquin and Helion a bit up as well because I want to live in the Summer Court, and I have a feeling Helion is going to be massively important in the next books.
I subscribe to the theory that Amarantha and Tamlin were mates and he rejected the bond. It really (at least for me) helps me justify how Tamlin acted under the mountain, and thereafter.
I don't necessarily like or dislike the Bone Carver... he's a very interesting character. I think he should go a little higher; he gives Feyre and Rhys invaluable information numerous times. He's more helpful than Elain, so it seems off to rank him the same as her. And he caused extreme destruction before he died.
I pretty much agree with all of this except Elaine and Tamlin I would probably flip flop. But even you potential S category characters. I need to add one more to your S category: The House of Wind. And where is Emerie?
I love this video. You’re sense of humor is great and I loved the oddball characters you added.🤣 The only person I would have liked to see added is Alis. I kinda hated her at first but then really liked her! Maybe the Attor even.😅
@StevensBookReviews no really? Maybe..in my mind it was always feminine it likes her cloaks and was super smart and spooky...like a forest siren... You're probably right though.
Seeing a soft feminine female character like elain thats non stop hated for not being a “badass” loud and obnoxious warrior be called boring etc 🤢 by a man in women’s spaces is honestly ridiculous. Super disappointing. Shouldn’t be shocked by this pov from a man of a traditionally feminine character in a book for women. Love this Steven this was so fun!!!
Totally agree with you, I wanted to see Feyre's badassary "Winnow/Strike" her way thru the Kings whole army!
Totally agree with you rankings. Loved Nesta

I agree with you pretty much on everything except nesta ,but i haven't read acosf yet so there is that.

Do you prefer ACOTAR or Throne of Glass?
If you've finished Throne of Glass, that would be fun for the next tier list.
I have 2 1/2 books left to finish in thrown of glass so I’m not sure yet!
@@StevensBookReviews Fair enough, hope you're doing the tandem read! It's worth it i think. I finished Kingdom of Ash 2 days ago.
I loved Tamlin and Feyre in book one. Tamlin DOES need a redemption arc. And, Nesta gets S damn it! I love Rhysand.
I loved Amren! I wanted to know so much about the world that she comes from! I wish Maas did a better job with world building in the ACOTAR series!
Just wait. Maas ist building a big universe with all her worlds installed as parallel existing worlds. I think Amrens world did become important in another series she wrote and maybe will continue to do so.
I'm into the fan theory that Tamlin's mate is in Crescent City. Gives a lot of potential for him to fix himself an have a redemption arc

Maybe I’ll do a part 2!
Also you missed Emerie and the house of the wind (S for sure)
Ahhhhh The House of Wind!!!!!! The absolute best character! Missed opportunity for sure
0:59 facts, can’t stand her either.
4:57 hated him too.
8:10 the shadow thing is the thing that was in the library
